It’s really simple if we keep him this season you have to extend him so we can make a transfer fee the season after next, In terms of his ability going forward we’ve seen him have fantastic starts to premier league campaigns but he’s dropped off a tad 2 seasons running now after AFCON. He needs his games managed front load him at the start of the season and manage his game time at the tail end we should 100% be looking at a replacement while he’s at the club.

I’d keep Salah, he’s been massive for us and should retire with us. However, knowing how stingy FSG are with money, we need to sell him in order to cash in and bring someone quality in. Essentially what we should be doing is what Real Madrid are doing with Kroos and Modric, keeping those quality players but continue to renew and bring in exciting players as well.

The FSG model will now start to be implemented. The reliance on data analytics and the sporting hierchary foot print are very similar to the work done by John Henry in the MLB. We'll see how mature and successful they can adapt this data to produce both the kind of quality and versatility needed to compete at Cup Levels. Even the information indicating Amorim's fallout had more to do with his preference to keep the 3-4-3 he deploys currently in place. That fact indicates this infrastructure decision making is not in the "next" manager's job description.

i think Mo could play at the top level for another 2 or 3 years if his form picks up next season...BUT at the same time if we are to offer him a new 2 year deal at the end of his current deal lets say it should be on reduced wages but with huge bonus incentives to kick start his form...ALSO i dont want to see another quality player leave for free so if a really decent offer was to come in for him i would be tempted to sell him so we can buy a younger more hungry RW......

Selling Mo seems to be the most sensible option. Is it worth committing to a hefty new contract when he turns 32 in the summer? He probably plays too much football every year. Klopp tends to play him for every minute of every game. Perhaps if his workload was managed better his form would be more consistent across the whole season instead of dipping at the end. But given the histrionics at the weekend, will Mo accept playing a bit less? Not being a bit part player but coming off after 65-70 minutes if we're 2-0 up or not playing the full 90 in a dead rubber European game.

Salah should have been offloaded since last summer. He is a legend, but the club is more Important no matter stats etc. He always burns out after Christmas. This has been happening for the last 4 years. Only fans that watch every single game like me know this. I see a lot of fans calling others fake fans because they want Salah gone. If you understand football, you would have sold him too last summer. its plain STUPIDITY that we haven't cashed in on him for 200 million. Total stupid management. He is 31 years old, he is slower, he cant dribble anymore, he cant score anything besides penalties. The only thing he does better this year, is passing. 350k per week for a declining player that can pass good. If you consider this a good deal, then you are Deluded or just jump on the bandwagon because you don't know any other Liverpool players.
