It’s gonna take some time and patience. Mechanic went on holidays for a month. He’s like the only guy in town who knows how to work on a JAG! Yeah that’s the best if it happens that way I think ( naturally by chance, or by chance and it turns out to go very naturally, you just strike a commonality or groove together or strike up a cool natural conversation ) and if you are both musicians and share an interest and love in the music and both play or write or sing or make something that adds a deeper dimension. For sure. I can only presume as I don’t play or make or sing anything that I can’t get arrested for noise pollution and disturbing the peace for. People would actually rather live in a mental institution permanently than to hear me sing or play anything. I’m always fascinated by anyone that can. I can write pretty good poetry and maybe lyrics, that’s about it. Oooooo nooo pressure to say who you exactly all met but the details of this sound juicy. I can’t stop myself. This is just too good ! No way !!!! Really ? That’s soooo COOL ! Who have you met ???? I know you don’t like to brag but who have you met ? This is good:)

Even if he just read it that would be great. To be honest I’m just as happy to hear from you as I would be to hear from him. He must get sick of people like me going on and on about the kitchen and how those songs they wrote together in hotels and apartments and locked in kitchens mean so much and how cool that is. To me having another guy who is not Keith who understands this means more to me than being able to talk with Keith about it. I just feel like it must be a pain in the ass for him to have to talk with fans constantly. But it all still means something that’s really precious nonetheless.

Yes I absolutely loved seeing Steve LIVE !!!!! It was my first hang over in years!!! It really was! Wooossy over did it !!! My key board was stone sober it was me that got a little bit out of key and out of toon. Don’t try downtown Yonge Street on a hang over !!!! That was all me I got a bit carried away after you reminded me of the date ....but thank you for reminding me of it because I almost mist it ! As LUCK would have it I just got back to the hotel with a bunch of booze and I usually don’t get more than one item but I had 3 things with me and THEN I GOT YOUR REMEMBER and it went down pretty well!!! I think I broke my key board ! lol BUT IT WAS FUN!!! It was FUN to feel linked in to that sense of community like ohhh sooo many people are watching this! We are all together on this ! HOPE SOME OF THE STONES SEEN IT TOO. Wheel Chairs is NO WHEEL CHAIRS they are going to KEEP GOING!!!! Wheel Keith out in a wheel chair on oxygen and he will play JUMPIN JACK FLASH on his guitar!!!! More and more DAVE I’m starting to really think it’s ALLLL ABOUT THE MYSTIQUE OF WHERE THIS STUFF STARTED FROM!!!! WHERE IT BUBBLED UP FROM AND GOT GOING!!!! And what that music means to people after that . I think the stones did a pretty good job of tapping into that and of keeping it going in various forms or another!!! STEVE Is now carrying on that tradition. Rock n roll , it just seemed to appear out of nowhere and people wondered where it came from . ( THE STONES THEMSELVES WERE LIKE THAT TOO WHEN THEY FIRST GOT GOING AND GOT BIG! It’s like they just came out of nowhere the same as rock n roll 10 odd years earlier . ITS FITTING AND MAYBE SHOULDNT BE A SURPRISE THAT IT WOULD BE LIKE THAT!!! :) But one thing is for sure that IT CAN DIE TOO. It can be born - sort of out of nowhere and it can live and have life and it I believe it can die too . It has a propensity to keep itself going however but I think it can be possible to die. IT DIES IF IT IS NOT PAST ON. :l It’s as simple as that . If it’s not past on and people die and people stop listening to it ( I don’t know why they ever would ? Because rock n roll is such a great music ) but if they did and the old timers all die off and their consciousness of it dies with it and then it doesn’t get past on and becomes something of a dead long gone past sort of relic and finally that relic is forgotten too and can’t be past on then ITS DEAD . But people like you and Steve and maybe me and others are doing a good job of keeping it going AND PASSING IT ON and KEEP TURNING PEOPLE ON WITH IT!!! Keep tapping in to that thing . That mysterious mystic and it does what it always has done , takes on a sort of life on its own and keeps going alive and well but it lives through us and through our enjoyment of it and interest in it . KEITH MICK IF YOU ARE OUT THERE DONT LET IT DIE !!!! WE ARENT!!!! Steve isn’t . Dave isn’t . I’m sure not! Let’s follow it all the way back and get to the bottom of it ! But let’s also not analyze it to death . LETS LEAVE ROOM FOR ITS OWN UNIQUE PERPLEXMXENT AND ENCHANTMENT and mysterious yet magnetic vibe and mystic . ITS MYSTERIOUS BUT YET ITS SOOO SIMPLE AND STRAIGHTFORWARD!!!! Never get to the bottom of it really but It lives on in us !!!!!! And I hope it never dies !!!! And people like Greg up in Toronto at the University of Toronto are willing to write about it for an hour and people are driving in their cars and maybe they have a radio on and maybe they had a very GOOD DAY AND IT WAS REAL COOL and it was real BOSS like a real good time and they turn on the radio and a real good ROCK N ROLL SONG comes on and they still get ENJOYMENT OUT OF IT !!!! To sum it up I think KEITH himself might have framed it best ..... It’s that thing that turns you on and makes you go YEAH!!!! Isn’t that true though ??? !!!!! Isn’t that so true!!??? MAKES YOU GO YEAH!!!! just like he went YEAH ! right at the end of the recording of brown sugar . It’s faint but it’s there. You know you know it!!!! Just ask yourself something Why was the day the music died in that cold FEBRUARY of 1959 SOOOO SAD ????? Well why was it? And why was that event so significant? - Feel a chill ??? Sort of Same reason they didn’t want Keith to die young I guess . I don’t like to fly because I love rock n roll too much . That’s part of rock n roll too The plane crashes and the oding It’s all part of it It’s actually even more meaningful that way with those terrible terrible events . If you have not seen the Doc "Being Mick", it is good and insightful. Like any other human, he has flaws, and the ego being the greatest front man.

@ Steve Flip Side CT I’ll have to catch that! Was this doc made by you? I think part of his ego was his take on American entertainment culture where he found a lot of great front men were quite egotistical. James Brown is one and he might have just thought okay if I’m going to make it as a front man in America I’m going to have to act like something like that. But it seems like he also didn’t like the big egos if there wasn’t the substance and hard work behind it. It’s kind of funny how people get this particular take on things. They might think 💭 ohh in America I have to have a big ego to make it there or fit in there. I think he has been emulating his take on America based on some of the early record culture he was absorbing from the records sent over from CHESS RECORDS in Chicago and it was the perfect acid to go against the prissy stuffy old snobby English culture he was kind of reacting against. A pretty cool and yes egotistical English boy Rolling in a Rock band emulating his take on some aspects of American youth. I’m just happy if people enjoy themselves and don’t hurt anyone. While being creative or productive. GO NUTS But a lot can be said about modesty too and I’m cool with it as long as they can speak freely and enjoy themselves. I think everyone needs some spot light and positive lime light unless they don’t want it . It can be very wise to avoid it too. I’m probably comfortable with egotistical people. I think MICK was very sociologically reflective about some of the new life styles he was seeing and experiencing / alternative ways of life. African American culture and so on. Country and Western Culture and him being sociologically reflective and adaptive towards North American culture ( coming from an English guy ) is REALLY HIGH IN MY BOOKS !!! And I credit him for that!!! I didn’t like when I heard about John Lennon believing himself to be Jesus . I think MICK was more down to earth and comfortable with himself. The more I learnt about John Lennon the more I disliked my sense in how he didn’t seem comfortable with himself and he seems like he was very envious and jealous of others for no reason at all. Pretty much the very opposite of Keith I place John Lennon. What’s great about Keith I think we all love ❤️ about him is that he didn’t seem to NEED or WANT much of the LIME LIGHT as Mick and John seemed to need to have. I love how Keith was always a little bit under the radar. Sometimes I think Mick was too in his own way. He was able to separate his popular image from himself and both him and Keith knew that was more of a GAS than anything else but not to be taken too seriously. But at other times I think MICK did get a bit of a big HEAD. Maybe it was a defense mechanism to his popularity. A way of keeping people away without using much energy. I’d love to see this documentary. It sounds familiar somehow. Okay excuse me I have to go hang off my home lighting now and burn down my house 🏡 and drive my car into a wall and then jump the wall. Lol 😂 I’ll say this.....when I’ve seen interviews with Mick I’ve always liked how he is elegant and how he has down played his popularity a bit. But at other times I think he was guilty of getting a big head and I think he was perhaps a bit hard to work with. I think Keith had him breathing down his neck when it came to finishing EXILE in late 71 and into 1972. They seemed to work more as a coherent and cohesive unit on FINGERS 71 and on SOUP 73. I personally like MICK better in the 1975 era. He looks cool and comfortable with himself and like he found himself and his sweet spot. I like the loose fitting clothing too and what he was doing to take care of his face as he aged. I think he really found himself around that time. 75 American tour. Yes he’s egotistical but his brand of egotistical seems so muted and elegant and lovely. He seems really okay with himself around that time like he felt comfortable and contented and fulfilled with his success fame and popularity.....and to me that’s really COOL 😎

@ Steve Flip Side CT Hey Steve all is well . I just got home last night. I’m back in mountain time Alberta. Well you have probably heard about BUM F-K Idaho well this is BUM F-K Alberta....not that much different. Haha :D just joking . But hey on a bit of a STONES note we do have a FEW WILD HORSES left as far as I know. Which isn’t very far ! Haha :D For all I know maybe they ALBERTA PEOPLE went out and shot them all by now. Who knows about around out here. There is strange logic going around now days. But sure hope and believe there are some wild horses left and hope to finally get to see those one day! Funny I haven’t yet. Haha :D by now. Anyways we do have the Canadian Rockies and we do have a few wild horses left close to the mountains. I think in the south west of the province. Anyways as we say THE WEST IS BEST and ITS THE BEER OUT HERE whatever that wild Horse piss is! But it’s not too bad OUT HERE! As the old saying goes I learnt to make a fire , shoot a gun , ride a horse , and drive an old pick up truck by the time I was 5 years old. Haha :D. Well maybe all those by 10 years of age at least. Miss my grandfather John he taught me all those by 10 bless his German Canadian heart. !!!! His death anniversary will be coming up on the 19th of October. 5 years ago already. He kicked the bucket on his own wedding anniversary. Haha :D Nice one Grandpa! :D way to go! :D So anyways....I got my deferral completely processed with the University in Toronto and I get to keep my very same COLLEGE there . And i took the train all the way back from Union Station back to Alberta. Hot a hotel for a few nights and took a bus up to where I’m from in Alberta and just got home last night! So I’m home! Toronto was a blast ! I think Toronto was very suitable to me. We think in the same way. They told me it was a little bit like New York . Not sure about that . Ohh I tried to get into the USA to see a friend but I went down to the border with a nice little Iranian I met in TO who works for UBER and we both got rejected at the US Canada border. Shit! F-K a duck . Well he wasn’t actually Iranian but he was born there and we became good friends these last few weeks in Toronto! Shit they took us back to the Canada side in a special car with a retired police officer. Next time I’ll know that visiting New York in 2022 isn’t the same as visiting Seattle in 2014. Much much higher security. And that’s a good thing I think! :) They also said 3 things came up on my little friend who I had paid to escort me to New York City. I just want to say this...at Toronto’s Union Station staff told me that a one way ticket was all that was required and I could figure out how to get back after I was down. Also they recommended that I just go ahead and stay in an ALL night Restaurant in New York City for a night to make my transfer in the morning. Their exact words were sure sure it’s the city that never sleeps so just go ahead and stay in a restaurant for the night, be a lot easier and get on your train for Virginia the next day! :) The people at the border couldn’t agree less . But I’m home safe and sound now. - Greg

Before that and after that he really seemed to be okay and have it together. But I think mick really had his vocals together in 75 / 76 . I’ve also heard that 73 live was a high point for all of them and they really hit a peak musically . Europe Brussels Affair . GRAM died in 73 too so I think I’d ask Keith how that effected him not immediately after he found out because he already answers that in his book LIFE but say during those live Europe tours and by Christmas and New Years. I wonder if he thinks it effected him that Christmas of 73 ? Not sure but I felt like the sound really changed for its only rock n roll . Anyways I think you are an authority on the stones and be so cool to watch and hear you handle live callers live . Be interesting to see what they phone in about and where the discussion goes . @Steve Flip Side CT I’m glad you think so too. It sounds exciting doesn’t it !? !? !? This is a huge honor and compliment but I couldn’t do it. There are just too many fans that would love to do that job for you. True I do have a short background in security work but sooo many others would just love that position and do it better than I can . I’m sorry for such a slow reply. There have been some changes here. My room was suddenly given to someone else with zero notice. So I’m deferring everything to next September 2023. I want to do this with an excellent apartment run by excellent staff. I want to do this with quality in mind over quantity. I don’t want to do this with a room that just sort of works and puts a warm roof over my head. And staff that just look at the money only. The place the University found for me just take whoever put 1000 dollars in their hands first. If you are interested in the room you won’t get an email saying bring 1000 dollars by tomorrow noon or by today 4:00 pm or it’s going to be gone. You just get an email saying sorry the room is gone. If I was the first to be looking at it or not . I hesitated for just one day and it was filled by who paid the 1000 dollar application fee first . I think they could have worked out final offer for me while still protecting themselves. So it’s gone and my advisor decided to get me to submit a deferral to next year September to start my studies and I’ll lose nothing by it. Nothing on record about it . Just come back much better prepared. :) So it’s been busy and lots of seeing what Toronto street life is like. It’s not that bad if you can work out a good clean safe place to sleep each morning and a hot shower and coffee. I do this at my College as soon as it opens each morning. Nights have been at a 24 hour McDonald’s. Sometimes hahaha they PULL A BUMPER and kick everyone out at 2:30 am . They get the bar crowd of kids and when that money is finished being made and the pick ups they shut it down to clean . And all these poor souls get kicked out in the cold nasty dangerous streets . But they open again at 5:00 am . Of course every few nights a get myself a two night hotel stay to feel 100% human again . I’ll try to line up a very good room before I go home . I’m in Toronto now so may as well line it up while I’m still in town for next September 2023 . And next year do this right! Get off on the right foot . But I did try and I did come close to a great room quite a few times. Here even with money you can’t seem to find a great place as a student. Everything downtown is full ! Please someone start a huge capsule hotel business here just like in Japan . Make it so you need to have a deep hot bath before you can get into your room / bed futon . I’m Line up an excellent apartment way way in advance and come back next year . You see all sorts of horrible things on the street here . Lots of people eating the garbage . It’s so sad and discussing . But I don’t blame the University. They have been good to me!

@ Steve Flip Side CT Good idea let’s side bar this stuff. This is the last I’ll ever say about it. That guy is getting mad at me because didn’t leave many comments to his new music 🎶 video. I didn’t reply to him that much so he came to find me here. His 2 music videos are good! But I have been busy. If you could find a way to get him off my back?? Out of my hair. He started getting mad about stuff from a long time ago after I didn’t leave much of a comment on his new video. Honestly, it’s very good work and I have been busy. But it pissed 😠 me off when he started to try to get to me on your RU-vid videos. He came on here with a bone to pick with me because he thought I’d reply to him on here. But why would he bring it to your place and more in public if I didn’t reply??? That’s going a bit too far. Why involve you Steve? That’s the last I’ll say about him. I’m not going to have communication with him after this. Just like he was doing with you, he gets really upset if people he ‘knows’ don’t say much about his music videos. And then he starts hunting me down and picking a bone with all this other stuff from the past thinking I must be mad at him. When I was just busy is all. Shshshsh !
