Part-time Van human here, I highly recommend getting an OBDii scanner that is recommended for your make and model of vehicle. If you don't know, an OBDii scanner is a diagnostic tool that would scan through Gloria's little computers, sensors, and let you know more specifically what the "engine malfunction" light was to let you know if it is critical or not. There are of course very modernized ones that are bluetooth dongles with apps so you can use your phone to see what exactly is going on. Things like "low mass airflow pressure" may seem foreign and intimidating to you right now, but with the wonders of youtube and forums for your specific vehicle, you can figure out how to fix anything step by step, and often times (but not always) it is a very easy fix of half an hour or less. Since mechanical repairs can be the most costly part of van life, and I bought a van with 200k miles on it, I figured I would need to learn this stuff and it has saved me multiple, multiple times already and makes breaking down so much less stressful. I even broke down literally in the fucking middle of a desert and was back up and running in about 1.5 hours until i could get to a gas station and get everything properly road ready again.

I have literally handed my notice in for my flat and have 2 months now to sell all my stuff and buy a van to change my life completely. It's a pleasure watching your videos and I really can't wait to start my own adventures. Take care and stay safe.

I posted this in one of your other videos but wanted to make sure that you saw it. If we toss out your fabulous, endearing mannerisms, the ability to find your own self amusing, your charisma in front of the camera, and your actual movie making (use of B roll and still shots) are remarkable. IF, you're doing your own editing it's astoundingly, 'top shelf'. (If not you, your editor is a keeper). These videos are SO, NOT typical for van life documenting. They are soundly as professionally done, as if you've been trained for years. You don't need much of a script, but only need to be yourself, accompanied by your vulnerability and the ability to laugh at life, yourself and the situations that you find yourself in. Stellar. DO NOT STOP. You're an "old soul" with a special gift and I look forward to all your adventures as only YOU can create.

It is admirable how you live in such a small space with so much stuff. Personally, I think you have too much stuff and your life could be easier if you downsized your wardrobe. This is easy for me to say, as I am an unkempt hermit, dressed always in black, who's only footwear is a sturdy pair of old walking boots.

Hi Ame. You can buy an engine scanner and use it anytime (it connects to a port usually underneath the steering wheel) to see what error codes/messages show which will help diagnose the problem.

Thank God you have GiGi there or i truly worry you'd be at a complete loss. She's such an integral part of the channel. She's a wiz at styling you. She makes sure you're nourished. Her skills at repairing Gloria are unmatched. I'm so glad you two chose to follow this path together. Whatever would you do without her.

When I was a kid I spent the summers at my grandparents and my aunt had just moved away for college. So I listened to her records and they were all oldies even for her at the time.
