Crime (car prowlers) is rampant where I live. A vehicle with lots of containers inside would entice prowlers (if you were away from your vehicle) for sure. I once accidentally left an empty small pack in my SUV as I walked my dog mid day by my house - was gone for only 3 minutes and heard my alarm go off. Window was busted out and empty pack gone. ‘Bet they were disappointed.

@@MarmaladeOutdoors What you wore on the PCT, recommendations for long haul backpacking with weight on your back....what you like, what you recommend or not. Thick, thin, length, toe socks, double socks or not, etc. You went through water, what was best in your opinion for wicking away. Synthetic vs. wool vs. certain brands...some wear out faster than others. Which ones hold up better than others. No worries of you don't have opinions on them.

do you wash your clothes at a laundromat or do you drop off your clothes to have someone clean them? I don't see any detergent.

I don't understand how you can live in your car for that length of time. Never have a lounge chair or a recliner to sit in to watch TV? Your back must be killing you.
