Wondering if you can still live like royalty for under $1500 in Fortaleza, Brazil in 2024? Join me as I break down my monthly expenses, revealing whether the dream is still alive. Let's dive in!
I forgot to mention a few things in the miscellaneous category like car repairs. But those are already factored into the overall cost I talked about in the video. Also, our data plans, Netflix, and Spotify subscriptions, they're all part of our regular utility expenses.
And about our trips to Colombia? Well, they're just filed under trips. Our last one was a combo deal - family visit plus some work stuff. So yeah, flights and stay were paid for that trip. Before our recent Colombia visit, we hadn't taken a trip for quite a few months in Fortaleza.
Take our car, for instance. It's not like it breaks down every month, so that's not a recurring cost. And sometimes, we skip our trips altogether.
And what about phones and computers? Well, those expenses even out over time. We're not buying new gadgets every month or even every trip. Both our phones and computers were our first new ones in the last 5 years or more. So yeah, when you average it all out, it comes to a little over 2k USD, just like I mentioned in the video.
We don't always indulge in the 160 reais (33 USD) rodizio experience. Our meals average around 75 reais (15 USD) for the both of us.
