Installed mine and shot one grimburg no problem. Then it double fired a few times, then hissssss air dump. Ugh. The positive was that it was the first time shooting my grimburge round at 360. So, back to the air smither freind. Thanks again Sean, for what you do for the community..
These are really nice parts no need to think about the horribly expensive VKS any more!🤪 There needs to be a short steel barrel for the M17 in addition to have a short build with silencer when needed. Also such a steel barrel in 9/10 inch for the 8.1/9.1 /fsc would be nice!
I bought all these upgrades except for the heat core as that’s a newer item but through I believe CND riotball before he kinda just disappeared. I wonder if the quality is as good I’ll probably get these and keep the ones I bought forever ago as spares. Only thing was the springs weren’t cut to size and I believe needed the shim which always seemed like a pain in the butt for someone not as mechanically inclined lol been staring at mine for awhile all I did was upgrade the magwell to V2 mags and get a nice little shorty barrel and shroud. Good video glad to have someone to watch do these. Mikey at crb was great but those videos would get rough

Thanks for your video. I followed it step by step but I marred the air chamber while removing from the heat core with my wrench. Is that going to be a problem? I can’t seem to find a replacement part for it anywhere.
If its marred on the flats area no it wont effect it all. Only the ribbed area where the bolt slides may affect function and even then it depends on the severity.
Yes it’s marred on the flat area where I set my wrench on. The edges and one side of the flat area has a good nick on it because my wrench slipped off at one point. The ribbed portion is clean. I’ll still try to see if I can purchase a replacement from Valken but at least I know I can use this for now. I feel like an idiot for nicking it. Thanks for your reply. Your content is awesome.

I can’t for the life of me get it off. Any tips on how? I don’t want to married or damage it anymore than I have to.
@SEREInstructor it is loctited on. A little bit of heat from a lighter or heat gun will free it up using soft jaw pliers. Not too much heat because there is another oring in there. The cap is stainless. Even mine got a little marred but i just sanded it back smooth using some fine sandpaper. Once it’s off no need to reloctite. Makes for easy oring changes. That being said you can change the heat core oring without its removal….just more difficult.
Hey Sean....on HD24 sear spring, trigger springs how important to change? I have my sear shimmed and wondering will others be fine. After your test HD24 ASA it a myst have now
Ok got a novel for you...m17 have installed HD24 bolt spring and regulator. Wixin detent sear spring shimmed. Air up pull trigger and boom air rushing out. Ok replaced heatcore oring. Old one looked fine. Again same thing. So put back factory modified reg. V1...using different mag and all is good. Found mag I was using separating at top side. Opened up screw mount broken. Bad mag cause original issue. Like to know before I reinstall HD24 reg
I run my stock heatcore and bypassed launcher with the factory sear spring. There is a point when tuning for power when the sear spring pressure will be over come by air pressure. This situation will cause the sear to release and marker fire unintentionally without pulling the trigger.
The sear spring (bolt locking spring) is a must if running more than standard 800psi pressure. Mine ran fine on standard bottle pressure and only auto fired when i went above.
Bolt spring and 800psi you should be fine. I say should only because mine functioned fine setup like this originally. I would consider the sear spring in the very near future or if it becomes apparent you need it. Shimming the sear spring is also a temporary option.

The sear spring is actually what HD24 labels as the “bolt locking spring”. It is sold as one in the package. What HD24 calls the sear springs and sells as a pair is the return spring and trigger spring. Those two are the same.
@@gerardomagallanes2789just in case i confused you more….the bolt locking spring is the must have if you increase bottle pressure. The other two springs increase trigger return feel and slow full auto down when running the wide open HD24 heatcore. Personal preference in my opinion.

I did exactly the same thing as in the video and now the trigger function no longer works. And also the two full auto pins rattle when you move the weapon.
Hi, Is the steel barrel which comes with the kit for the CQMF, essential for achieving the claimed 100 joules or is it really more for safety? Can I use the kit without adding on the Home defense barrel and keep my 14 inch barrel on?
@lesslethalfordummies i use mainly the grimburg jul v2 about 60% of the time and Z-RAMs for 40% of time. Do you think my aluminium barrel can handle that or should I install the steel barrel? Those figures will be the other way round when i get hold of some more Z-RAMs.

I did this full hd24 kit minus barrel and now marker only shoots full auto in singe fire mode. Pulled it back 3:35 apart and all the full auto pins are there and reverted the spring under “folded taco” back to original. Same results. Any thoughts?
Cqmf or M17? Did you install the trigger springs in the correct locations? Bolt locking spring is actually the sear spring. How many bumpers are you using?
Yeah I ran the springs exactly as directed in the video. Also the silicone bumper with the factory on top. Exactly like the video. Now I did install a brh. But it was fully locked the whole time during use. And I did find the bolt was notchy getting it in place.
Also do you find that in single fire mode without air to marker, when you pull on the trigger, do you notice any movement of selector ever so slightly trying to rotate to the full auto position? I noticed that and thought maybe that may be posing an issue.
@@shaneheld3353my advice is to remove the BRH only because i never tested the kit setup with it. I did measure the spring and it was the appropriate length for BRH use, but again i never physically ran it. While you have it open check the bolt halves and silver guide pin are not loose. Go over everything and make sure fasteners are not loose.
