This video was made to assist someone on Reddit who was having a hard time getting samples to playback on his MPC Key 37. Hopefully this video helps him out. Let me know if this is helpful to you!
I just want yo load sample to the KEYBOARD so i can play a melody with the piano keyboard why is this so complicated...my fucking 1986 casio sk1 does it in a sec
Hey there, all you really need to do is load to sample into your sampler then hit sample. Edit select the sample and it should automatically go across all the keys. I’ll make a video for you… It’s wicked simple, however, defensive the MPC regarding that it’s more complex than the SK1, dude I mean, lol I had a friend with that keyboard back in the day. It was one button recorded one phrase, and that phrase was immediately put across the keys… It wasn’t super complicated so yes, the MPC is more complex than that. I would hope so lol. No offense to the SK1 it was and still is a pretty dope little piece of gear and I wouldn’t be unhappy if one fell my way. But we are talking about a much more complicated more complex in every way device versus essentially what was a toy back in the day.
This was helpful! Im new to this -- Do you have a video that shows you how to got that sample you chose onto the MPC so that you can even select it? The step before this one I guess lol
Hey there! Welcome kyleb.7746! I don’t think I do have a video for that. I have to make something, however, there are several ways to get a sample onto the MPC one would be to actually sample it that I would need to make a video for because that is probably the most ”MPC Intense” way. Though it is not super difficult it does take a little practice. The other way would be to connect your PC to your MPC, or your Mac to your MPC. When you do this, the MPC becomes just a drive and you could just drag your samples off of your PC to your MPC. You might want to check out m’man DJAveMcree
