Local Hero Reacts to VGM! - Serpent Eating the Horizon... Ground? (Bravely Default) 

This song put me through puberty. 🤙

I always love seeing people react to this song. Bravely Default has so many absolute bangers in its soundtrack and this is my favorite final boss theme of all time. Edit: My favorite parts of this song are near the end, after the period of hopelessness fighting Ouroboros, where all four of the character's themes are played. Along with a little bit of the Boss Theme (That Person's Name Is...) and even a bit of the victory theme.

Great video! This just popped up in my recommended, probably because Serpent eating the Horizon is my favorite piece of music in general, so I was happy to see someone else enjoy it. For other tracks in the Bravely series, I’d suggest “That Person’s Name Is” and “Wicked Flight” from Bravely Default, “Might of The Hellblade” and “The Ones who Gather Stars in The Night” from Bravely Default 2, and thought not by Revo, “Battle of Providence” from Bravely Second.

If I may suggest, you gotta listen/watch the live concert of this song. Heck the whole concert! Revo and his band play this song and all of the others perfectly.

Note: Revo IS the composer of Linked Horizon. But even before he is the head of Linked Horizon, he’s the head of Sound Horizon, the name the group uses when not working on pieces for other projects.

To be fair, Bravely default is from Square Enix, so it probably sounds a lot like Final Fantasy stuff.

Some series I’d recommend (if you hadn’t already come across these) are probably: -Persona series -Fire Emblem series (especially the lastest entry Three Houses) -Xenoblade series -Final Fantasy series & Yakuza series

If you like linked horizon, you should check out sound horizon too! It's Revo's original band and it has a really cool concept. The live is really great too

each playable character in bravely default has their own unique instrument for their theme. Penny Whistle is use of the theme of Tiz, Violin is use of the theme of Agnes, Soprano Sax is use of the theme of Edea, and Accordion is use of the theme of Ringabel. in Serpent Eating the Horizon/Ground when the instruments play their theme it is to give you that little push you need to over come the final boss. play bravely default if you haven't played it. [the 3ds eshop will close in 2023, so get bravely default when you can]
