Little side info on the Bravely Song: It actually IS 4(+) songs in one. The part towards the end goes through all the main characters Leitmotifs which is why it constantly switches up. You hear those themes a lot throughout the game and they even have gameplay implications (they start to play when you trigger their power-up and the power-up lasts until their music is over). This is one of my favourite if not my favourite video game song of all times. Glad you reacted to it. :3
It's more than 4 songs for sure. I recognize at least 7 or 8 different individual remixed portions of tracks from the game. There's probably more than that though..
@KingMeach the coolest thing about the song is that the composer Revo (the guy who made the first 3 openings of Attavk on Titans) use character themes for storytelling. The folk music - Tiz - he’s a farmer boy Violin - Agnes - elegant royalty Clarinet - Edea - represents her freedom Accordion - Ringabel - best theme ever. He’s a badass character
@@corrinfevincenohr Slight correction - Agnes isn't royalty. She's part of the church as the Wind Vestal, but by no means is she a princess or even "proper" nobility.
This is an older video so you might not see this but serpent eating the horizon is so great because half way through they add the 4 protags main themes into the song as the fight shifts in your favor. Ending in a final mash up as you start to pound the boss at the end.
So I've realized that you have covered a lot of Xenoblade, but I'm surprised no one has even mentioned Mechanical Rhythm (DE) yet. It's easily the song that goes the hardest in the whole game, and it's been proven that it's got some REALLY good tracks.
Damn, you picked some real bangers for this one. Your enthusiasm is contagious, I'm looking forward to the next one! The Azure Arbitrator from Trails to Azure is one I think everyone should listen to at least once, so that's gonna be my recommendation. I don't wanna spoil anything, but it's metal, and it goes so hard. You said up to two suggestions, so Ark Mall from Astral Chain is going to be my secondary. NOTE: Make sure to get the Ambient + Combat mix by Baron von Lag. It's so cool to hear the dynamic way the soundtrack switches depending on if you're in combat or not.
Oh hey if that particular section in Serpent Eating the Horizon is your favorite part I suggest checking out Ringabel's Theme! Its where that section comes from!
I've got two bangers I would recommend: - Roar of Dedede ( Kirby and the Forgotten Land) - Boss Battle (Denpa Men 3) which is a really obscure game that really needs more attention!
Denpa Men 3 was my first JRPG. Of all games I could have chosen, it was that one....And I have zero regrets! I remember getting tons of hours out of it for a game that was only $10 normal price.
Great video king A banger you gotta listen to is Mirror of the World from Guilty Gear Strive, that song be like 7 minutes long but it's a whole ass journey that is definitely worth the ride Another recommendation is Night Walker (Linne's Theme) from Under Night In-Birth, that can go on loop for a whole day and never get boring
Really loved seeing your reaction to Serpent Eating the Horizon! It blew my mind when I first played the game when it was new and is probably my favorite boss battle music I've ever heard in a game to this day. It's beyond epic! Great video my dude. 😎
Would love to see some more final fantasy music reactions! Ff8 has my favorite final fantasy soundtrack by far, both "Man with the machine gun" and "The Extreme" go the hardest. Great to see you back my man!!!
About Pledge of Demon, it's the theme of a recurring boss in Yakuza 0. He repeatedly hounds the main character (Kiryu) over the course of the game; initially just thinking he's just some half-assed street punk trying to get an easy ride on the Yakuza life; but over the course of the game he comes to understand and respect Kiryu. In their final fight, he acknowledges Kiryu as a real deal Yakuza and the theme changes to "Oath of Enma", which I really recommend you give a listen.
If you want some more octopath recommendations, try: 1. The one they call the witch (phase 1 of the final boss, phase 2 is daughter of the dark god, to which you already reacted) 2. Those who await the path of desire (from champions of the continent)
i recommend an oldie 1997 and a newbie 2021. old is short and sweet and the newb is under 5 minutes. breath of fire 3 - do your best pathfinder: wrath of the righteous - banner under the citadel. for people at home - an archaic one from 1985 to brush up on your culture. ghosts'n goblins (c64) main theme. just give it a sec for the melody to kick in.
So this is two months late and you might have already gotten it answered for you but, that instrument you were asking about around the 15 minute mark during the Xenoblade song is an upright bass!
If you come back to the comments here, I got a couple to recommend from my personal favorite game. We got "Endcaller" and "Answers" from Final Fantasy XIV
If we're following on with the trend of having a dope Xenoblade battle theme, I would recommend A Formidable Enemy or Battle! Vs. Sorrow (don't worry, the title isn't a character spoiler, but it does play in some pivotal story moments which gives it some real weight). If you're not ok with spoilers, then formidable enemy should work out instead.
