Thank you! As an RN for 30 years, that means a lot for us to hear from the doctors! Many walk right past us and never bother to say hello or even learn our names, while we cater to their every need, in addition to caring for our patients. There are many doctors I’ve worked with over the years that I’m on a first name basis with & consider them a friend as well as a colleague, & would do anything for them. The ones who ignore us, treat us like we’re nothing, & don’t take the time to learn our names or get to know us-not so much.
And if I hear one more person say “none of this was real”…or that “people were not THAT sick”…I’m gonna snap. I work in an ICU in Ohio, on the front line and saw our nurses work their butts off to keep people alive…no extra pay, no recognition…just doing their job. I was proud to be a part of their team. Great story. She deserved this and a thousand times more.
This nurse and others who left their family to save other lives are real Godly live Angels. God is with them. They deserved to be recognized and honored!
Love , Respect , and prayers to all our Frontline Fighters....Thank you 💯💐🙏🏽❣️ Me ; I will never complain again about my 4 day 12 hour forklift operator work schedule !!!
In our family 4 people came down with covid. My wife's sister was in a coma for 4 days after she was admitted to hospital for brain related problems and was dignosed with covid the night before her surgery. They needed to release pressure on her brain. Still not done as the 3rd wave hit us about a month ago. Still sufferi g from severe headaches. Almost like having strokes. I agree people should get a wakeup call as this virus is no joke and kills indiscremanently
You are a hero Terrie! I have relatives working, and that have been working in the health department. During this pandemic ive lost family and friends. Your words and this video actually made me cry for real for the first time. May the Lord shine on you and all who does good in the world. And thank you all, i needed this!
This nurse is not just a nurse..she is the embodiment of genuine humanity. She is an extra ordinary human being and i hope she and her young family are doing great as she continues in her calling to care for others.
Nurses ARE the real heroes. I'm the husband of one, the son of one, the brother of one, the father of a CNA. So I know that nurses like Christie are called, and they answer that call.
I agree with you, Texas Weather Enthuzst ❤️ Especially the nurses on palliative care. They were so good to my family, when my late mother was on the unit.
As the father of two RN's, this video makes my heart swell with love and pride. I really love seeing videos like these because a lot of the time, the nurses go unnoticed but the doctors wouldn't be able to do what they do without my daughters and millions of other nurses. God Bless all of you and the work you do!
Everyone should be proud of all of the doctors, nurses, EMT's, paramedics, law enforcement and all others that were on the front lines doing their jobs! THANK YOU ALL!
I don't know how they did it. They literally put their lives on the line for strangers. They are beyond awesome. Thanks to them and their families for the great sacrifice.
I cared for covid patients on the recovering end as a home health nurse. Even though they were home, they were still sick---very weak, on oxygen, unable to even walk through the house without getting short of breath. Some of them were sent home too soon, and that's how I caught it. It is very real, and was very deadly in the pre-vaccine days. That this nurse sacrificed her time with her baby and husband to care for someone else's husband is what we do, and it's awesome that one of us was recognized for that.
I like her loving encouragement of her patient. “ we love you, we need to hear your voice and you will be healthy again” positive talk, positive approach and in many cases positive results. God bless.
lovely beautiful woman, inside and out, you deserve everything, gorgeous family, angels are not far away they are here, from across the pond in London, we have the NHS with nurses and doctors who are heroes, Bless you all !!! keep well all baz xxxxx
This is an awesome story this young lady has a heart of gold she deserved to win the car and to the family of the man that was sick i wish you well glad your doing fine its great when you see people that care for others bless both families and friends❤❤😊
In 1999, due to severe Ulcerative Colitis, I had to have an Ileostomy done. I got infected and slipped into a coma for two months. Had to be reopened twice and had a near lethal blood clot in my leg. I should have died. Missed my 23rd birthday. I survived somehow...and almost a year later I went back to the floor and visited everyone. Got a big bouquet of flowers for all the nurses. It was pretty emotional. We all promised to never see each other again under these circumstances. The 965 in my nickname was my room number where I woke up from my coma and every year since then, every July 27th, no matter where I am, I raise a shot of whiskey to the surgeon who saved my life,Best wishes to this nurse from Canada.
One day to all you nurses who saved patients and worked with them God is going to reward you. To let you know you are in everybody's hearts. We think about you we pray for you everyday. God bless you nurses without you we wouldn't be around
My wife was an RN,and she worked in ICU/CCU. She passed away about 18 years ago. It's great to see this story. It makes me think of my wife. Thank you for what you do.
BIG THANKS TO EVERY SINGLE PERSON THAT WORK IN THE HOSPITALS. JANITORS, FRONT DESK PEOPLE, NURSES, DOCTORS, AMBULANCE DRIVER, ANYONE THAT IS RELATED TO HOSPITALS, ALL ARE HEROES. GOD BLESSED AND TAKE CARE OF YOUR FAMILY.
Beautiful heartwarming story thank you Christy for showing compassion for others bless your heart you deserve the gift you received. God bless you and your family.
nurses is voice of a dumb ,hear of a deaf ,eyes of a blind and also movement or mobility of a paralytic . they are incredible personality and devote for their profession and i am proud on their and myself ..................... god bless to all .............................thanks
This is what it means to be a nurse. I have been a nurse for 30+ years. She quarantined from her husband and young child so that she could continue to touch others lives when they were in need. That is worth 10X more to us than any paycheck. God bless you young lady! You are a true inspiration to all nurses and mankind!
As someone who has been treated by nurses for various medical conditions and who has nurses within my family, I firmly believe that pretty much anyone who wants to be, is in the process of becoming, or is already a nurse is, in my opinion, an angel with wings only a select few can see.
It wasn't just one nurse. All of us in healthcare have sacrificed themselves over the last few years. Under staffed, over worked, exhausted physically and mentally, with very little appreciation from our employers. To all my brothers and sisters out there...you are ALL appreciated and heroes in my eyes.
She very clearly stated that it wasn’t just her. I think that is just common sense though. I think every nurse and Doctor that worked directly with Covid Patients deserves the same award. Since that obviously can’t happen, I am extremely happy they chose this young lady. She’s a true diamond.
She is such a sweetheart, you can tell she really cares. I spent 8 days in Kingwood Medical in Kingwood, Texas in May, 2021, Room 507, for covid. The nurses were fantastic and I told the personnel dept. that when they called.
God Bless you honey! You ARE SO WONDERFUL for giving unselfishly of yourself in the battle against this horrible virus! ALL YOU NURSES are the STARS that fill the HEAVENS!!!
Christie, you are so right. The whole medical profession would fall on it’s face without the hard working nurses that keep it afloat. You guys are way under appreciated and way under paid.
I.m from the U.K… but to all the Doctors and nurses all over the world … were the hell would we be without you …. Thank you from the Bottom of my heart…. You are all heroes…. Love and total Respect… ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Love you all so so much ❤️❤️❤️stay safe ppl…
Thank you to all the Frontliners Doctor's Nurse's who are doing their very best just to save patient's with covid illness, God bless you all🙏Keep sAfe and healthy..
I'll never forget the ICU nurses when my father-in-law passed away. When the family gathered around his bed as they pulled the plug you would have thought the nurses were family. They cried and hugged as much as the real family.
This is uplifting. Nursing staff and doctors need more recognition for the job they do. So sad that there are so many that will not get thee vaccine. He was one of the lucky ones.. Many are not
Every time ive entered a hospital or have had a reason to be there, it has always been the nurses that connected the health care with the compassion. They were/are the leading edge of humanity. When sadness and worry and stress were ready to overwhelm, it was the Nurses that radiated kindness and compassion that helped calm and evoke hope. I love nurses!
These are the Special Forces of the nurse world! The enemy is behind every tree, fills every nook and cranny. Is all around you, but still you are ready to confront it, fight it with all of your being. You, darlin, are a true American hero!
When Christie's voice starts to break when she's talking to him....dang. Thank you to her and everyone else through the last almost 2 years who were working in hospitals.
Nurses do not get the credit or recognition they richly deserve. We verbally appreciate our military, so why don't we agree to extend that appreciation to our nurses who are truly dedicated to those whose paths we cross.
