Oh lucky you having a beach .Nearest I came was the rather large tidal River Havel .Coots have not hatched here as of yet .Am off to another area .Love those orange fuzzy heads Thanks Jeremy and have a wonderful weekend :-)

Each year the swans rule and always have at least 7 cygnets which they raise successfully too.Thanks and best wishes :-)

Thank you and glad you enjoyed .Oh the water iris are always beautiful.A huge thunderstorm and deluge has just ceased .All looks fresh and the first to come out are the sparrows ..Many greeting across the miles..

The norm is between 7---9 with this pair and they hatched the 16th .This huge water surface they see as theirs Geese came but opted to leave . Thanks Glen :-)

This seems to be happening with many birds and as to why I 've no idea . The crows are late , as are the coots. Yet in other regions it isn't so .No common denominator .Keep watching and live to be surprised .Hope you get to feed them seed .That must have been a great experience .Fingers crossed from the swan family :-)

I was lucky Dave in that a lady I know rang me the other day to tell me the news .I had appointments all day so went Friday ..Most bird lovers etc swap numbers and call each other if there s something special ..Meant to tell you , in this water area are beavers :-) Thanks a lot

@@djosbun they enjoy later in the day .An area I love but lots of long grasses etc and wow do we have ticks . Having had 3 nasty encounters with such tiny horrors (all were positive when tested ) I avoid the long grasses and bushes .Mission impossible here . Possums are the answer lol

@@HelenaMikas Yes! I must ship you some hungry possums so they can make the area more human-friendly!

@@djosbun Oh glorious We are plagued with Ticks .The worst are in Southern Germany and can cause encephalitis.There is a vaccine against this .In other parts of Germany we are plagued all year round and get Lyme Disease .That has been my fate No vaccine for it and once it has you wow do you know it .We have forests and long grass areas and now no matter what the the season the ticks remain .It used to be May June .Possums to the rescue .and they could feast aways on ticks .and be awarded a medal :-)Thanks Dave

Thank you .They bring so much joy each year . Other areas have swans but this pair are rather special.Will be up there each day to check on the Coots .Besides which Mr Remarkable ( hooded crow) meets , greets and eats .
