I spoke to the guy at the Marina. He said that they're not gonna stock trout this year because the water is too high. It's going over the spillway and it's too warm he said. He said they were going to but they're not going to now. It's too bad my friend and I were looking at finally going back to loch lomand after many many years for trout. Good bass fishing lake though. Too late for trout this year due to all the rain.
I live on southside of Loch lomond local have been for many years getting back to fishing this summer. Where are you based doing fishing maybe bit advice on areas to hit
Also becareful you can be stop by rangers and police if not releasing properly the ezpect you to use net for re-release they say stresses fish less but just be careful
The ideal time is going to change throughout the year due to weather conditions and water temperatures. Right now the fish are more active in the afternoon. Best of luck out there 💯
