The funniest thing is that there is about as much ad time as there is actual video. It's even more hilarious when you consider the ad is also the part that is complete and close its own narrative. But what makes it absurdily hilarious is that the ad is about something completely unrelated to the video.
Ditidos no i got this: you see the logan's run people have souls; so their bodies are necessarily are _vessels_ . they have a specific value put on their existence; much like war ships. and they were in a society governed by a big computer; much like being a human player in an online multiplayer game.
@@indieWellie Mmmmmh, I can see your point. It is almost like World of Warships is kind of an inverse of Logan's run. The warship are machines controled by digital humans whose objeticve is to kill each other and respawn, and the same is the one humans have in Logan's run except the digital machine is the one who control and the humans are the ones whose objective is respawn. There is also the fact that these humans life in complete peace while the ships life in absolute war. It kinds of makes sense after you make the right conections.
@@magisterrleth3129 Probably cause Cody(Tyler's brother, AKA AltHisHub guy) used to run this channel early on before letting his brother run it as he needed to focus more on his main channel.
@@ZiyaB3ast you got a church near you? I'm assuming yes. Well go to the laundromat closest to the church. You'll see people working inside. Those are the crackheads. Now you might be wondering: "what's the relationship between laundromats, crackheads and churches dude with Ainsley Harriot as their profile picture?". Fear not for I am here to answer all your questions. First of all the laundromat. You see that laundromat isn't actually a laundromat, it's a front for money laundering. How else are the owners driving around in the latest cars and wearing suits made of gold? Now the crackheads. The people working inside are actually drug addicts. The owners offer them drugs in exchange for labour. They exploit their weakness. How did the addicts learn to launder money? They were trained by the owners for free. And finally the church. The church is there because the owners go there to ask for forgiveness after a hard day's work of visiting the laundromat, looking around for a few minutes, pocketing any extra cash and giving the workers their shots. How do I know all this? Don't ask too many questions.
I randomly came across this movie a couple months ago on Netflix. It was nothing but camp and pure joy from opening to conclusion. 10/10 would recommend.
I quite enjoyed it. Obviously most of the abbreviation here was for comedic effect, but you did skip over many genuinely important points, like how the Robot captures runners, kills them, then sends their meat back into the city as food. At the end of the day it is mostly just "Brave New World, but weird and small-scale", but it did have a number of interesting thematic elements that've made it stick in my head. Sanctuary was essentially just a religion thought up by the rebels, and the Computer had such an absolute worldview (Society is good, rebels are bad, rebels run to Sanctuary) that the revelation that this viewpoint was false (Society is bad, there is no sanctuary, runners just get recycled into food) that it caused the entire system of power to collapse. Like, obviously not a perfect film, but it was weird in all the right ways IMO.
My mom let me watch it when I was 12. She knew I was into sci-fi, remembered this film as a sci-fi movie _and that is it._ I ended up watching it over several times for the reason you listed, but it was also a pretty cool movie regardless.
The nude scene was cut out and never shown in theaters or video. It was supposed happen right as they find the robot. Logan and Jessica were soaking wet from the previous scene and were about to freeze to death so they stripped naked and hid under some fur blankets. The robot was kind of a perv and wanted to see them naked. This was entirely cut from the movie. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-92Yxb8iTwLY.html (deleted scene) In another scene they went skinny dipping but you couldn't see anything because the water was murky.
4:57 "The whole middle part is the story is pretty unimportant. [...]" Then you have to skip the middle part of his video 10 seconds later because of his Sponsor. But then you come back and watch the middle part because you realize Tyler made a funny skit with it.
The computer explodes for "some reason"... Really? Really Tyler. You gonna do it like that? Not gonna tell us the truth of how it self destructed for being EPICLY PWN'D!!! We Deserve The Truth!!!
I believe there was a few scenes with the robot where it specifically went “im like serving everyone the corpses y’all make since all the food ran out and I’m programmed to think they’re fresh vegetables and fish”
Oh so thats where the perk logans loophole in fallout new vegas came from making you lvl 30 instantly but stops you from earning exp making you forever 30. The more i know.
I'm a social studies teacher and I use your old vids often in class. The best part is after the videos get to snicker at the fact that it always recommends your post aneurysm vids. Love your work
I've seen a couple of your videos and I'm not sure how you maintain sponsors but it seems they give you 100% creative control with a few key lines to make sure you get in. Bravo!
I think this is the only sponsored segment on RU-vid that I've actually gone out of my way to rewatch. Also my friend in college made me watch this one night and this is basically how I felt about it and what I remember. It really is one of the movies ever made.
I was a kid when first introduced to Logan's Run. Still one of my favourite dystopias which is saying something considering most 70s movies didn't age well.
My mom and I watched this movie together, we were rolling with laughter. Such quotes as "but it's ME this time!" And " you don't have to die, YOU CAN LIVE, LIIIIVVVVEE!!!" Have become a common phrases our family uses randomly.
Browsing the channel and seeing the constrast between the "Popular uploads" with clean thumbnails and direct video titles and "Recent uploads" with deep fried thumbnails and deranged/depressed video titles is just hilarious. This channel certainly went down the rabbit hole and i love it ^^
My dad hates sci-fi BUT for some reason he knows this movie inside and out. Out of all the science fiction references I can make if I bring up Carousel or grab my hand yelling "I HAD MORE TIME!" he smiles and gets it.
I'm convinced that none of us exist and we are just part of Tyler's increasingly bizarre hallucinations, almost as if this entire universe was just dreamed up by Tyler, who could do the most incredible things with his godlike powers, but instead gets high, watches TV, and impart his wisdom on us, yea, may we be forever blessed by ye, Tyler.
i remember that movie thank you !!! i had memories of it in my head for sooo long but just couldnt find any information what the name of that movie was... and it was sort of damn scary cool
