Pointing out the funny points of this show as negatives is pathetic. Frasier's "god complex" and inability to apply his own advice to himself is what makes the show funny. Maybe you missed that?

Heres the thing. Sure, these business school graduates can be smarter than us.... but in their particular field. For example, if you put a business graduate in charge of, say, a maintenance department, they won't understand why so much money is needed. Because they have never worked ON THE FLOOR. When you work on the floor, you understand why things cost as much as they do or what works best. So they may be really smart at business stuff but dont understand a bloody thing about game development or how to make profitable games.
This is the issue. Studio gets invaded by non-gamers and DEI hires. Studio makes game. Game is anticipated and revenue is PROJECTED. Game launches. Game is woke. Game is rejected by gamers. Studio blames gamers. Stupid loses ability to make good games. Games are ruled by politics instead of creativity. Studio dies. Studio and Gaming Journos blame gamers. Another Studio gets bought by corporation with woke mindset. Rinse, Repeat.
So they open up their games to all platforms and luckily have already bought a ton of studios to make games. That means that instead of Xbox the console and game company we'll be left with Xbox the Game Studios

It's profit. It's not "they were bleeding talent!" Or "they made a bad game!!" Shareholders and execs don't because firing a bunch of people and liquidating beloved studio's is much easier and more profitable and raises the little green line more. Maximum profits for the few at top. That's it. It's not complicated. It's not excuses.
It's short term greed, simple as that. They don't see the long term benefits anymore. They see something wasting money for a month instead of profiting and think "This sucks, get rid of it," even if they were gonna make 20 times as much money off of that thing a year or 2 down the line.
Microsoft is stupid, because its run by middle aged management that does not understand how subscriptions work. You subscribe to a service and since this service is not on commitment plan to year, or 2 year contract you can cancel it any time. There are subscrition services that are used every day, netflix, spotify, you phone plan, cable TV, etc... Those are usually services where you sing a contract for certain amount of time and you pay monthly, but guess what. Most popular subscription servicies, streaming servicies are part of your plan, 5 years ago I knew a lot of people who payed for netflix and spotify, no its part of you mobile plan or home internet plan. Microsoft most probably found out that you dont need games every day, you dont play every day game from xbox gamepass. You may subscribe to it during holydays, after your finals, or when you are home sick for 2 weeks. so you pay 10 dollars and then unsubcsribe.
The whole acquiring of studios and then shutting them down, plus the idea of them going into JUST putting games on Playstation... am I the only one who thinks this is just some bassackwards way of getting rid of the competition?
Games need to scale back they keep giving these people multi million dollar budgets they need to be made back asap and when they obviously doesn’t happen they lay people off
