Those 900L’s look so good with the small sleeper and float front tires. Love it! But I think if it was green like you originally planned it would look even better.
Nice, I found your channel while browsing Kenworth 900. I drive these in a video game called American Truck Simulator. I figured I'd learn a bit more about them since I drive them virtually so much. They are my #1 favourite truck. If I was rich, I'd get one to drive for fun on the weekends lol.
Get rid of the grey interiors and replace the rocker switches with toggles, always gauges. Black dashes are always the best for driving, keeps glare to a minimum. Split windshield and doors on the bunk. That makes for an actual working truck that's fun to drive. Also diamond tuck, same color or different color buttons looks amazing.
That is one of the nicest badass trucks you've built. Couple minor tweaks on the next in stock one and you can drive it straight into Ontario for me :)
@@AndyTheKenworthGuy polished end caps for the step boxes as the stones running the logging roads chips the paint all to hell, if it's got beacon mounts move them to the bunk or just wire under bunk as they are required to be at the highest point for pulling floats, not sure on your wheelbase but we are pulling 51 foot log trailers with 265 inch wheel base. Gives us the room with a logging rack to get fifth wheel ahead to actually utilize the weight on the front end. Plus the option to hang 10 footers over the front of the trailer and then 8's behind that for bigger payload. I know a guy that bought a w900l out of fort frances and he barely gets 12000 lbs on steer cause frame isnt long enough to slide trailer up. We watch him not able to steer all winter long. No smart wheel. Dealers quote us $4800 for a new wheel when we got problems with them. Know 4 guys and me personally that are having issues with the smart wheel. Dealer wanted to replace whole wheel and column. 4 foot fifth wheel slider so it can be used as a float truck as well. Other then that it's mint!
You just couldn't stay away from W900Ls, lol, can't blame you, it's an addiction, after the video with the T800 daycare, I thought you'd be doing some T680s, T880s, and W990s, all videos come in well on my android system, haven't tried IPhone yet, keep up the good videos
@Oliver 880 they are definitely efficient. Im not sure about the U.S. but in Australia they are expensive to maintain.especially when replacing rotors etc.alot of people run disc on trailers here but not the prme mover unless its a euro truck.
awesome truck, my grandfather my father and I used to log, they logged pretty much all there lives. I always liked Kenworth's since the old cabover pop had when I was a youngin but I loved the w9's I always tried to get pop to buy one but pop was a fan of Mack Trucks so unfortunately he had the money not I so we had Mack's..lol.. Defnitly not my choice tho..lol
I’d probably get 4:30’s as I’m not much into speed past 105km/hr and I want to lift off anywhere I need to. Some places you load from don’t like high gears.
Enjoy your vids - I'll probably never own one but have always loved the big trucks. Liked & subscribed. Awesome truck. One question on this &/or the premium sleeper (can't recall what it's called) shown in your other vids: Can you get a microwave in addition to a fridge? Also (well, 2 questions:)), if it has the optional fold up bunk (that is an expensive option), is there a table that folds down in it's place? I think I'd want a place to sit & eat/do paperwork/use my laptop, etc. Not sure how the chair would work, but seemingly that could be figured out too. I did watch 'til the end & thought Yetti was all overblown but I do need a cup that'll keep coffee hotter than what I have. Might have to try one out.
That’s for watching. Microwaves are always installed after. So no the factory doesn’t put them in. We do have tables in bigger sleepers and a couch in the 72 and 86 sleeper
you never mentioned (I might have missed it in previous vids) that the logger-spec axles make chaining up a lot easier. and yeah, I REALLY miss yellow engines too.
Just a tough, beautiful W900. Like the wheelbase. Would love to own one of these. I drive in Europe and a real treat to view these vehicles. What's the rear ratio, eh ?
Hey can you do a flattop tour with a coffin sleeper tour im looking at a pete or w9 in the near future but never owned a w9 so I need to see the sleeper before I pull the trigger
Love the videos. Always love a w900. So I've noticed some w900l have the split windshield and some have a solid 1 piece. Why is that? And what are the pros and cons of each?

If you listen to his last video,,he talked about his next truck as his ""KW"" was at the ""KW" shop changing the PACCAR Fuel /water separator to DAVCO system & with a trade to you wouldn't work as he has a pusher axle which isn't allowed in Western Canada & won't get the full allowance on trade !!! This question might sound strange but what if after a really long time you have this kenworth, you get into an accident, the truck is repairable but the engine isn't. Can it use another engine type? ( another Cummins, Detroit, paccar or cat possibly? ) or does it have get the same type engine back? Just wondering the fact that it's no glider 🤔

Did they connect the drivers side stack? Andy; you should have done some of Your magic and did some old school style pin stripping . Nothing radical just something to set it off. But black in the woods ?

Shit we'd haul up to half a million pounds GVW with that truck here in Maine hauling two full length trailers. If it wasn't for that shitty Cummins under the hood she'd be a great truck once you deleted the DEF & EGR
Andy that's a pretty cool truck I wish I could use it in the States but I can't I do custom halls in and out of cities even the T680 it's too long so we use I know you going to say oh my God what are you use we have a 238 wheelbase and we use cascadia's any bigger than that we can't get into Ali's and whatnot I tried to talk my boss into buying T6 80s cuz they look like a more comfortable truck but he does not want yo cos something about him and the dealer don't get along so anyways are companies Union by the way and I am a non-union driver and it's a long story why I'm not a 90 and Driver the nun Union drivers don't stop in Las Vegas Nevada and Gamble and can get away with it we can get fired there is your long story some denim shirt isn't cut have a great day Andy have a great day love your show some love your shows very informant
