Logitech G PRO X Superlight Teardown | HOW-TO Ep. 1 

you absolute legend, 2 years later; i was having issues with my scroll wheel and noticed there was some dirt caught on one of the wheels sensors, used this video to disassemble and reassemble the mouse and now the scroll wheel is fixed. Thank you my friend!

I'm still amazed at how this mouse is engineered. 60 grams AND wireless without hole is a great achievement, but still has some minor flaws. Thanks for the vid, big guy 😊

Thanks for this video, had issues with the scroll wheel being buggy and found a post on reddit saying to spray lube into the scroll mechanism. Followed this to open it up and sure enough, it's fixed. Thank you for such a no bs quick and easy to follow video. Just saved me a massive headache. Didn't find the screws under the battery.

Thank you so much! That was exactly the video I've needed. Both for reference and teardown. Now it seems i understood why my scroll wheel started to sound too loud when im rolling it. Guess I've lost or loosen that spring that was holding it down to the ground.

for those of you who's mouse wheel is scrolling the wrong way. i didn't want to take the skates off because they're too malleable would only last 1-2 cycles of disassembly, so i dumped the highest percentage isopropyl alcohol into the frame, shook it around, mashed and scrolled the wheel in the process, and dried it out with compressed air. fixed the issue without the need for disassembly

honestly bro i just wanted to clean my mouse but discovered theres a modding scene for this, very cool

subbed, since there isn't a good channel do teardown videos as good as clean as quick as this one. also good to see they keep using that little spring to eliminate some pre-travel and stable the clicks (they call it the mechanical click)

TURN MOUSE OFF (probably not needed) TURN MOUSE UPSIDE DOWN THEN PUT MOUSE SCROLL WHEEL ON YOUR MOUSE PAD AND GO BACK AND FORTH OR JUST ONE WAY OR MIX IT UP AND DO THAT FOR ABOUT A MINUTE. TURN MOUSE ON AND YOUR SCROLL WHEEL MIGHT WORK WITHOUT TAKING IT APART. Probably not a bad idea to take it apart eventually if it keeps on happening but you know this worked so thanks Jacob and person who first commented about this wherever you are in this mega comment list.

i really don't like the fact the companies put the screws under the sticker or why they just don't have holes within the feet for updating. but a really nice video

Thank you! This video helped me. For others: be careful when scraping off the skates so that you don't scuff the tiny "frame" that they sit in, i did that and it scraped a little. Might be slightly thinner aliexpress replacement skates, but i had some universal small round skates, and now it's all good.

It seems I can just assembly it without using the upper shell? Then it might be possible to print an slightly different shape and still mantain the overall integrity of the exoeskeleton?

Found out mine came with a loose battery and it was soo annoying to play with, it just bumped into the sides every second.

Why would the screws be underneath the glides? Now I need to ruin my glass skates just to open it...

my g pro superlight stopped clicking, what could be? (right, left and scroll doesnt work)

Notices you have 8.0 on urs already. optimum prefers the 2.0 in the gpw but I really like the 8.0 in the superlight. Not to light or heavy and cripsy without being super load. The china omoron in the gpw are the horrible but def think it should of came with the 8.0 off the rip or maybe some black dot ttc. Both top teir switches for a mouse that is S teir class imo.

Just put it back together and when I had the last 6 screws for the bottom, I realized that one was shorter than the others. I didn't group them, no clue where the shorter one was supposed to go lol

My gpwx had something that’s sliding around inside of it. I’m guessing it’s the battery. Tomorrow I get replacement skates in so I can take it apart, what should I use to stick the batter back in place if that’s what’s wrong???

Was it easy to replace the scrolling encoder with a simple desoldering pump? Gonna replace mine soon since the scrolling started to have a 'ticking/clicking' sound when I scroll down

A few months after buying it... My left click works when it wants. Same junk internals as the cheap mouses. Might as well save money and buy cheap to force bigger companies back I to quality bc as it stands they're selling junk for quality prices. I had the first version and it was far superior to the super light. Super light means a lack of features to save weight, but they charged you more. A complete scam. My previous one worked great but was stolen by house keeping when I was working out of town. Went to Best buy... Paid 50 bucks for for this one that offers less and didn't last at all. Maybe its a dude, but I might be exploring other wireless mouse options tbh. My tko light speed Logitech keyboard is absolutely amazing though. Love it. Very quality and it's just great. Cost me about 250 but it's worth it imo.

Mine is currently having a problem where its charging but kind of not turning on. Like earlier it was working again and then it stopped working again but it still charges and i can see thr loght from the sensor when i turn it on .... Idk what to do anymore

Let me ask you a question, I'd like to blow some pressure air or actually contact cleaner spray on my "scroll mechanism", because sometimes when I scroll up or down it triggers the opposite for a moment, which is annoying. So how can I do that without dissembling the whole mouse? I mean, until what time of the video I need to dissemble in order to get a clean shot with the spray on the wheel mechanism (with the thin straw of the spray, you know)? It's not really possible to do it without dissembling something, is it? I have tried blowing into it with my mouth, I feel like it reduces the issue for a moment, but it comes back pretty soon. Had the ribbon cable door at 1:05 come off completely. It doesn't seem broken or snapped anywhere, is it able to be reconnected?

should i do this if my scrollwheel is not working properly? whenever i scroll up it scrolls down as well and vice versa and its so annoying scrolling like this. i cant seem to fix it any other way. was thinking of taking it apart and dusting it/cleaning it up

Hey man, what are the wires connecting to the metal contacts at the bottom of the mouse at 0:54 for? I have been "modifying" my superlight (just chopping bits out with a box cutter lol) and one of these wires broke off. I thought it was electro magnetic, but it is still magnetized. I would just cut them out entirely but I like having the foot cover I think it glides better. So any idea what the wires are for? Initial magnetization?

they use an unnecessaries amount of screws and i hate how you have to take off the feet to open it

can you tell what are the sizes oft he screws in diamater? My screws that hold left and right buttons are loose and they spins forever, will changing the screws help?

Holy cow did they glued the battery connector together? I was dead afraid of ripping all together from the PCB when i disassembled mine early today to clean the encoder because of random jump scrolls, so i opted to remove the battery as you have suggested. Great video by the way, it helped me a lot
