Well i did what you said in this video about putting headphones in the USB and the MIC in 3,5 or what ever its called but then the MIC doesnt work at all. If I have both in the USB I get like supersonic hearing. Its like I can hear all the things around me 10 times better than before (i had g30 before... they broke). So the mouse, keyboard, computerfans EVERYTHING. I can even hear if my parents and brothers are walking in the stairs EVEN if i have my doors closed (the stairs are quite far away from my room aswell so that just makes it wierder). And ofc... i can hear every breat i take as if someone was standing right beside me and breathing on me. I hope you understand what i mean and that you can help me, cuse, ye... im going kind of mad.

Yes Logitech Software will not detect your headset if you will connect it with audio jack. Try using USB dongle on other system if it is still not working then probably its broken. From audio jack first make sure that volumes are full at every setting, second thing you can try is setting the Default format of the Headset as FM Quality in Advance settings of Playback device this significantly increases the volume of the device. If you're still not satisfied then you need a better amplifier for your audio, you can try to buy a USB audio dongle for that one, or a new audio card.

Daniel Weber Okay, so I tested just right now firmware update for Windows 8 on my Windows 8.1 OS and it's working fine. Have you downloaded correct version?, try disconnecting, reconnecting USB dongle while installation is in progress.

What do you mean by 'does not feel the sound'? You can't here others over TeamSpeak or your mic don't work?

Darshit Mulani When you start a game with Teamspeak open, the audio back to the boxes and then immediately in the headphones but the sound of the game does not feel

+Piiicas try to use MIc with audio jack and with USB sound card both and make sure MIc is at placed at proper position and Mic volume is set to full, increase the mic boost to +2dB while using Mic from audio jack it might fix your problem.

It depends on your PC's integrated sound card. Some will sound amazing, others won't.

I am aware about the issue it gives me robotic sound with lag when Mic is plugged in USB sound card it works good for me if it is plugged in directly in 3.5 mm jack

Darshit Mulani I have managed to get the headset to working again. It was the Logitech G510s keyboard's audio usb driver that was causing the conflicting issue. Even with multiple uninstalls/ manual registry cleans it still didn't work so these where the steps I did. 1. Removed both headset and keyboard 2. Uninstalled software and restarted machine (Hardware still disconnected) 3. Installed Revo Uninstaller Pro and performed a advanced “Uninstall” which located leftover registry’s and files. 4. Installed and ran CC Cleaner to finalize any leftover files 5. Restarted the PC and logged in (virtual keyboard- mouse; both hardware still disconnected). Installed Logitech Gaming software and restarted machine again. 6. Connected Headset dongle and installed drivers (auto), restarted PC 7. Performed test in recording software ( I used Sound Forge for testing, you can use Microsoft's Recorder..), all is OK, no “robotic voice”. 8. Connected Logitech G510s keyboard and installed drivers (auto), restarted PC 9. Performed test again and status is OK (Razer Comm's, Mumble, Ventrillo, Skype works as should)! I hope this may be of some use if someone has similar issues.

USB dongle gets detected even if the software is not installed, first make sure that your USB port is working fine by connecting any other device to it, then try to connect your headphones with USB dongle on any other system if it works fine then yes it has to do with the drivers, thou it detects the hardware itself without installing the software but in your case I think yo need to install the software that you can download from Logitech g430 support page on their website. But I think lol you might have been resolved your problem till now.

It cuts out because of issues with Noise cancellation. Solution: Download latest firmware from Logitech site not the gaming software but the firmware for G430. Alternatively you can put your Mic port in 3.5mm Mic jack.

You mean that when you plug in your mic in the analog jack it is not working? Check out in the sounds settings may be your recording device input for that jack is either muted or disabled make sure that mic is working when you're using it with the USB dongle provided.

Are you sure it is not muted at volume bar and in computer settings? If yes then it is damaged if you are under warranty please contact the retailer.

Automatic muting shows that noise cancellation is not working properly for you. You installed latest firmware? This headset is not that good for mic but problem you are facing are much than it really has. Try one thing you don't need to install latest firmware for this. Just try to directly plug in Mic in jack. See if it does something.

Plugging the Microphone into the audio jack does not affect the microphone. It only affects the sound. Upon plugging the microphone into the audio jack all sound comes from only one side of the headset. i.e. The sound is essentially cut in half. Also, about the firmware, the Windows 8 version is still incompatible with Windows 8.1 But I currently have the Windows 7 firmware installed and running

ZeldaUniverseMC Yes you are right the other side is actually designed for noise cancellation not to record voice and when you are plugging it into USB sound card there is option to use it as Noise cancellation or as a dual input but the sound quality of the dual input is not working. Windows 7 firmware is running for you on Windows 8.1 than its fine it is the same thing because required drivers are already modified.

No it isn't opposite otherwise the surround sound will not work. The mic cable has to be plugged into the pc. Not into the Usb sound card

Oh! I play CS GO too but not in the recent days, I need to check it myself if their is a problem in the game itself or in your PC. Try to plug in the sound wire directly into the audio jack to check if it is working that way, I think it is the Logitech software which is causing interference with the game. Try if you can use your headphones while directly plugged into the audio jack or not.

They have updated the firmware for USB Sound Card and now even with USB mic quality is great.

The only solution is to put mic jack directly into pc sound card instead of usb sound card. I will recommend you Plantronics Gamecom 780 over this one if you are still going to buy. The only drawback of them is you can't use them with other devices.

Just an update, I bought this headset used the mic with the USB soundcard, I dont have the fading problem at all, the headset is great!

It is really strange it seems like there is a software running in background which is the reason for this. Can you try to put the mic directly in 3.5mm jack, also try to uninstall drivers and try again if the problem continues it means that it is related with software of audio driver.

Josh Lemerond Then I got it. It is related with Windows then because when you play some application dekstop commands are not able to run there and so Caps lock don't mute it. Also download the latest frimware for this headset which has fixed many bug issues related to mic.

Logitech original site. Just search for Logitech G430 product there and in download section you can download firmware.

Hey when you put your mic cable directly in mic socket then go to sound settings and then in recording device make your device default and make sure volume is not mute and then try again, also please verify that your jack has proper drivers and is not damaged, if the mic is working with USB sound card it means that mic is fine.

Speed de jost You have static because your PC is connected to input electricity which don't have earthing, also should go to Microphone properties and increase boost to +30db because it is designed to work at that decibels. :)

Oh Actually you just have one 3.5 MM jack so using it without sound card is not possible for you because there is no separate mic jack you can purchase a mixer which has two jacks at one end for audio and mic and combine it to one jack which will go into laptop single jack this thing will help you use better mic quality.

So do you mean that, non of your audio device is working over the audio jack? Well there's an easy fix for it if you think that it is because Windows 10, then its probably causing because your System is not able to identify your audio hardware and you need to know which device it is so that you can download its drivers from the internet. I'll help you out.
