I think the first season was genuinely good, it got myself and my brothers excited to see what'd happen next, it had a distinct artstyle and the concept of the TVA, an organization outside of time is an inspired concept. The first season had a clear beginning, middle and end, and Kang's reveal at the end felt like a monumental pay off for the season because you can tell how much power this guy sits on, so kill him and a galactic power vacuum ensues, all that is well and good and pilots the multiverse saga pretty well, so all this season has to do is establish how Sylvies' action will parmeate into the "sacred timeline" moving forward. I thought different versions of Kang will start to appear for each MCU hero to fight before Kang proper akin to quantummania, don't even get me started on the MCU's lack of interconnected storytelling lately, but this season instead feels like it's treading the same grounds as season one but even worse this time around, Loki wants to meet the man behind this everything again, Sylvie and Loki argue constantly again, if I have to see monitors of timelines branching as a code red for the TVA again I'm gonna scream. Time travel is messy, and writers should avoid it as much as possible, but when they do use it, they should try and keep it as simple as possible, this season I'm sorry to say I was lost from the first episode, and this is coming from someone who thought the first season was actually decently explained, nothing makes sense anymore, a complete and utter mess. Another elephant in the room is that the second season is alil too late to the party, 2021-2023 is a long time especially in MCU years where tons of stuff already came out in between, it just feels like all of season ones hype is kinda evaporated by now, but hey people and critics in general are liking it, and I don't wanna take that away from em, in general though, I think the show is a mess and I don't understand anything going on in it anymore.

1:58 You don't understand the term "Time". "The Tenth Doctor: People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually, from a nonlinear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey... stuff." You see the "Time" as a lineer thing, like your explanation of the "collapsing bridge". Yes, according to your perspective, you can't go back the bridge. However we are "Three Dimensional" beings. We don't see or travel inside the Time Dimension. That's why your bridge - driving - collapse argument is false. You need to see the Time as a philosophical concept, not a physical object. If but only IF you can do this, you will understand "nothing make sense" is not true at all. Your problem of this story is your perspective on the time. You FORCE yourself to make yourself to BELIEVE that Time is only a physical object, and everyone HAS TO follow your strict daily routine. This story tries to branch on a different perspective. A perspective that time might be very different thing than what YOU experience. You believe this episode was "LAZY" just because it didn't obey YOUR perspective of time. It is not that lazy, if and only if you start to see time as a philosophical concept. YES, in today's science world, we can't travel in time, we can't travel in light speed, we can't travel in different universes. But WHAT IF we had a chance to do something like that. For example to travel faster than light speed, some people imagined "wormholes". A space-time portal that you can go inside to travel another part of the universe instant. Do you define wormhole stories as "lazy and pitiful writing"? No? Of course no. This event in the episode is similar to wormhole stories. But your anger on the Loki series made you blind to the details of the events.

This show really could have benefited more robust preproduction work. Maybe start with world building and establishing in universe rules and machinations. Then move onto plot and characters using what has been established. I'm not a writer, but that seems like the right action to take.

I guess there are two kinds of time slipping. Maybe Loki was slipping randomly back and forth through time itself at first, but when he slowly learned to control it, he is slipping through his own past. His actions while slipping through his past won’t really change his present, because he can’t slip BACK into his body at a point of time that didn’t happen for him yet. He can only slip to points of time he lived. Somehow these time-slips are not affected by the ordinary flow of time, but much more by his perspective of what happened when. Everything that happened at first, but now is erased by time travel, still happened in Loki’s past. That’s at least what I guess.

Nah, The answer is right in the beginning. The loom activates and spins it's cutting the branches on it's own. he's skipping to a branch before it enters the loom, when it gets to the loom it gets cut off. everything in that branch gets spaghetti-ed when your inside of it, thats what it looks like. (because of the Tempural radiation?)

Can you please explain the plot holes and inconsistents in this show and how it doesn't contradict the pre-established rules of the MCU? As the judge said, "Make it make sense." You cannot definitve say this is the case because the writing in the show itself has done numerous amounts of lampshadings on elements on their version of time that don't make sense.

The interviews in the first season, said that they were specifically targeting the"Loki fans" And also reprinted "Loki agent of Asgard". This year, they reprinted it again, and told everyone they were going to take inspiration from it. In that book, Loki, can control the narrative. He can freeze moments in time, and come back to them at any moment, and then change the story as he sees fit, keeping his memory of his past mistakes. Making him the God of Stories. Btw, you tried to say "the loom wasn't broken", but it was obviously on fire then. And when you break any loom, the strands of thread or yarn will still be there.. But the tension of the thread will unravel. Which is what you see happening. Loki has always had a connection to the tesseract, which contains the space stone. It seems reasonable, that he would unknowingly be able to travel through space without knowing he had the ability. Especially, since Loki in both the comics, and shown in season 1, that Loki could teleport. The tva sent back everyone except Loki and Sylvie, because it went into emergency safe mode… It's just a dumb program, that happens when there is a major malfunction. Loki had been plucked out of the timeline in the first episode of season 2. The TVA couldn't send him anywhere, so he was left there. Sylvie's branch was complexly gone (thus the TVA also couldn't send her back). The reason she was found back at work, was because she just left in the explosion. Loki just wasn't looking at her, so it was off-screen. That's also why her memory was intact. Also, most of the TVA's branches were not pruned like Sylvie's. They were just taken out of existence on the timeline and the tva stored the memory for emergencies,, like a big explosion… Or maybe worse.. They are copies. That implies that they exist in two points of time, both the timeline, and the TVA, and it kinda hurts my feeble brain to think about, so let's just go with the first option. I hope I answered some questions you had.

This show is frustrating. Before I say this, I want to go ahead and say I enjoyed season 1 for the most part…7/10 if I had to give it a grade. As for this season…it’s going nowhere, Loki is not the god mischief anymore, all this talk about time and the multiverse and yet it is so lazy and boring ass writing. I know I’m saying this before we’ve got the finale yet but this season is a 4/10

@@Qaosbringer this is quit possibly the worst rebuttal I've ever seen on the internet going back in time IS POSSIBLE according to the explanation he provided that's not the problem ,the problem is that the whole timeline (how its called in the show itself) is collapsing ,past ,present and future and thus coming to the past is useless. time is not a philosophical concept in a show WITH TIME MACHINES it isn't theoretical in the show

I'm really liking the series for my own part. It is all a bit nutty but I think you can still follow a through line. Not gonna touch on all your points but I don't believe the members of the TVA were sent to their original timelines because the loom exploded. (if it even did) They were sent back as a failsafe protocol of the TVA. That way the members are failsafe dropped in the original positions they were in when they were initially recruited by the TVA, or as we saw last episode, by Loki. This way OB can get the book delivered to him, build the first temp pad etc etc. Sylvie didn't get reset to her timeline because she isn't a member of the TVA. Loki was not sent back to his original timeline because him standing right there, alone, about to do what he does all episode is part of said failsafe operation. At the last moments of episode 4 when the TVA friends were all being reset by said failsafe protocol, Sylvie probably figured she would use the He Who Remains temp pad she's had all season to try a last ditch escape to her McDonalds timeline. Everyone evaporating at the end of episode 5 before Loki powers up may not be the delayed result of the loom "exploding". The explosion could be an illusion. A con, of sorts sort of like Victor Timely's miniature version. The evaporation of their timelines at the end could then possibly be a controlled pruning of those timelines, or rather a controlled "almost" pruning of those timelines, that act as the catalyst to get Loki to continue following a path unknowingly still laid out before him. Anyway, well see in a few hours!
