If you like excessively detailed movie/TV reviews, you're in the right place! I love talking storytelling and writing of all sorts, though I'm particularly drawn to the pop and the nerdy.
Love your analysis videos on my favorite superhero. Personally I just don't think the movie is good. It has some very ambitious ideas and it unlike a lot of comic book films actually feels like a comic book. I just think Ang Lee used too much drugs when he made this. It's definitely similar to classic hulk comics in a lot of ways but drops the ball a few too many times
I was never a fan of Bruce and Nat, it raises more questions on why he forgets Betty Ross. Why couldn’t they bring the character. They brought her dad back but had little to do in relation to Hulk.
great video! Though i think yoinking the stones from Thanos at Wakanda is a big no-no since they lost to him once, so why face him again at his strongest if they dont have to? i wanna say the stone yoink points were chosen because for the most part, theyre easy grabs and Thanos ISNT there.
So.e of your information is faulty. The Hulk can not only live in space without man made environmental equipment, but he can thrive in space. MCU Hulk is not the same as the Incredible Hulk. Two totally different characters. Two totally different mythos. MCU Hulk is either: a) Andrew Golota (i.e., Mike Tyson vs. Andrew Golata), or b) Squirrel Girl.
it feels like the writers only watched the cliffnotes on the important beats of good aspects of Star wars; only getting the "how" these things happened and not the "why" they worked in their respective sources. So they ended up mashing up all these ideas hoping to get a fraction of what made those shows/series good but end up with a mangle of ideas. ...then again, some of the actors and production crew follow Palpatine's philosophy and think Anakin blew up the deathstarl, so maybe it is their intention to make the Jedi look bad in this show. :L
I'm probably biased since I grew up with Classic Who, but I found Nu Who to be FULL of problems in its overarching narratives (from the importance on the Doctor to the companions not being companions to mystery boxes to the Master just sucking and more). Despite that, this episode ultimately killed Nu Who for me. The constant mystery boxes, undermining the Doctor's character to make him important to the universe AGAIN, etc. told me that Nu Who hasn't learned from its mistakes (and if I'm right, it still hasn't). Admittedly, I had tried to keep a bit of interest afterwards but I couldn't hold on forever, and I gave up after seeing the preview with Bill for series 10. I don't blame anyone who (rightfully) hates Timeless Children but that is just another example of the show never learning.
As much as I really liked Guardians of the Galaxy, I really do think that it was probably the worst possible thing to happen to Marvel as a studio. Because now every movie has to be a joke factory with a “I know/like that song” soundtrack. Taika for all his talks about making Thor something different and “the Taika school of filmmaking”, all he did was just make a Guardians movie and completely lost the identities of both Thor and Hulk. It’s a shame and quite telling how well received Ragnarok was. Audiences don’t care about the character, they only care about being fooled.
Norton IS Bruce Banner!. Ruffalo looks like a pumped-up jock rather than a scientist. Also, I have trouble with the way he scientifically describes thing. It doesn't feel natural.
Compared to how Bad Thor was in Thor Love and Thinder Hulk, being messed up is a dog peeing on a rug. You can clean it, but there is a stain but put a lamp on it, no stain. Sadly, Marvel has yet to clean the stain. What happened to thor in Love and Thunder is like dropping a 1M on one single coffee drink and then tossing it out the window.
21:55 Banner locked up, meaning Hulk can do what he wants so his rules are different without Bamner in the passenger seat. So when Banner kept him from hitting and killing people, Hulk had to listen. I get why Hulk would want to kill if he is not as smart as Banner he got treated like a God there for killing. On earth, he was well Frankenstein's Monster ×100. I'm not sure if this makes sense, but it's what I think now.
I didn't mind Smart Hulk - at the beginning of Endgame. BUT nasty, bad-a$$ Hulk not showing up was a MAJOR disappointment. WTF were they they thinking?
Hulk got beat by Thanos in Infinity War and Endgame should have been the big rematch where Hulk got his time for revenge. But nothing - we got that weak pathetic Professor.
