This is one of the best speed runs I’ve watched. Normally blitz games aren’t accurate enough to learn good play but you go back and cover the ideas after each game and it’s really instructive.

Another great presentation. It definitely helps us learn how to react in different positions. Your explanation of alternative moves by opponent is helpful.. Hopefully you will be climbing the ladder in this speed run. These videos on London opening will become a classic in years to come..

I love how vigorously you must click the mouse for us to be able to hear it. Also think it's great that there's varying video lengths, 10-15mins are great when under time pressure but when we get time to actually sit and watch an entire hours lesson it's even better. Great content, keep em coming.
@AlexBanzea
@AlexBanzea 2 года назад
Thanks a lot! The video lenght it's pretty random. The thing is that I was climbing much quicker in the beggining, but now the video should average 30-60 minutes I would guess!
@ollivier75
@ollivier75 2 года назад
great video, i think the analysis at the end is really helpful to have time to understand the ideas cause the blitz format is really fast during the game. For the next london speedrun (which should be soon at this pace :D ), i would love to see longer games. Also people blunder less in longer games. Thank you man for being our london guru these days ! cheers
@AlexBanzea
@AlexBanzea 2 года назад
I totally understand, I could perhaps try like a 3+2 speedrun in the future, or 5+0. For now I will stick to the 3 minutes format and cover the things that I missed afterwards. It might just get way too long since the videos above 1600 will be 1 hour long (to gain 100 points). Thank you for the kind words!
@ollivier75
@ollivier75 2 года назад
@@AlexBanzea daniel naroditsky plays 15+10 games for his speedruns and imho it's really good to go in depth at every move without being boring. Have a look at his speedrun videos on youtube. I know it's long but it's good content. One video one game, more views for your channel. imo 3+2 or even 5+0 will still be very fast for people like me who don't play blitz.

I love your video! What do you think about this line against the Grunfeld: 1. d4 Nf6 2. Nf3 g6 3. Bf4 Bg7 4. h3 O-O 5. e3 d6 6. c3 Nbd7 7. Bc4!? The bishop seems more active than on e2. And Black can not follow up with 7... Re8? (preparing to push pawn on e5) 8. Bxf7+ Kxf7 9. Ng5 Kg8 (or Kf6) 10. Ne6 winning the Queen.
@AlexBanzea
@AlexBanzea 2 года назад
Thanks a lot for the kind words! I think that is an interesting line. Personally I prefer the bishop on e2 because it won't stay in the way of the queenside pawns, but I know it's playable, close to equal. I covered a famous game with Bc4 here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4D-L6_c1yJ4.html

It can be good if you know what you are doing! It really depends on what move order he is using, but worst case scenario you should be getting a balanced position with chances for both sides.

It's definitely okay playing Bg3 once they have commited to ...c5, but as long as they start with ...Bd6 without ...c7-c5 they might never play it, so it's not gonna be as juicy as in the main lines.
