London Underground operated GEC Alsthom-Metro Cammell 1996 Stock on the Jubilee Line Extension, which was opened in three stages in 1999. Amongst train enthusiasts and LU staff, these trains are known for their rapid acceleration and characteristic traction motor sound. ATO is in use on the whole line since 2011. Previously, trains had to manually be aligned with the platform screen doors on the extended part of the line, frequently leading to delays and issues on the occasions when drivers failed to do so.
Stations in this video: Waterloo (East Bound Platform) and Canary Wharf (East Bound Platform).

ATTENTION: On the 1st of March 2018, all access to my RU-vid account was (probably irreversibly) blocked and all of my channels, including ,,1999Werdna’’ and ,,MetroFilms’’ were taken down. @@Ih8kone Yes, the trains drive and line up with the doors automatically. The driver, or "train operator" only has to open and close the doors and start the driving program, the computer does the rest.
