Yeah, this is decent tequila for sure. I put Insolito at #6, out of the top 8 Celebrity Tequilas: #1-Juan Lobo, #2- Number Juan, #3- Codigo, #4- Mala Vida, #5- Santo Fino, #6-Insolito, #7- El Bandido Yankee and #8- Flecha Azul (last)

Well at least it's not a horrible one. As celebrity tequilas go... you know it's up there in the top 5 or 6

It was owned by a ZZ Top guy, and at one time was actually made at a very good distillery, but not anymore, and it's triple distilled, which is not my favorite at all

Nope not saying that at all. 818, Casamigos, Clase Azul, and others like adictivo and Cava De Oro have very obvious blatant additives. Fletcher Azul just tastes a little Polina, but I'm still not convinced. Although they "say" they don't use additives, after drinking more of it, I do suspect additives. It comes from a mediocre-at-best distillery, and it's nowhere, and I mean nowhere close to a world's top tequila. In the many years that I've been tasting quality Tequilas and going to distilleries, and creating my top tequila list, with almost 200 Tequila's on it... this is about #85... NOT #1. No, but I've tried the other expressions and I think there are manipulated with additives and overly sweet. I'd imagined the extra anejo would be the same, if not worse. I'm sure there were people that enjoy that nonetheless, and they surely are pretty bottles though. I have a review coming out soon.

If you're talkin about Familia Camarena, it's junk... it's horrible and made with a diffuser. FYI, they are not related to the quality Camarena family, and they are only distant relatives of Carlos and Felipe Camarena

Yes that's legal unfortunately, and other brands do that, even in wood, but this was rested in stainless steel. There's nothing wrong with that, it doesn't add any barrel notes to it. You are allowed to rest in stainless steel or glass for any amount of time, and it will not change the taste or the profile

I'd agree, and I mention the brands that are better in the review. This is a review about how it stacks up as a 'celebrity tequila'. I am looking forward to trying Juan Lobo, as I just scored a bottle finally, thanks to you, and I have a feeling since I tasted it at the distillery, (although I don't recall), as we tasted about 15+ tequilas there in November, that being a Vivanco product, will probably be amazing and superior. I expect that to be the case.
