I have also just tried this repo, really enjoyed it. Found the French Oak tones down the pepper notes and gives it a sweeter fruiter almost grilled pineapple taste. I'm a big fan of this one.

Everybody's looking for the anejo especially. It's very hard to find, and they're making them all as fast as they can. I hear bottles are starting to show up sporadically, so hopefully soon, we'll be able to buy this delicious brand again without too many problems

Unfortunately the bourbon bros latched onto the brand and so the secondary sellers are scooping them up...

@@longislandloutequila7208 okay thanks. I just find it weird that fortaleza repo is one of your top choices. I watched a video from this channel called curiosity public where they review tequila. The fortaleza repo was last in their blind, which I find weird. Their top repo was Arette, then ocho, then el tesoro, then g4, then fortaleza. What do you think?

I think I wouldn't agree with that. To me, Fortaleza reposado is the best Reposado made, followed by Ocho Widow Jane, which are both very different from each other. Arette is good, but it's not up there at the top. I would put El Tesoro after Fortaleza and Ocho, and then I would put G4, then Arette

I did reviews on both, as you know, and I enjoy them both. If I had a choice, I'd go with the 1146, although it has a different look and slightly different taste then it did previously, it's still amazing, and I would prefer it for a few bucks more.

Sorry, it took me a long long time to aquire all of these, and a lot of money. I'm not looking to sell any, plus everything I have there are special editions, there's no regular Fortaleza there

Probably too many to list. Anything in the anejo or extra anejo category will give you the sweetness. Maybe try Don Pillar, Tiera Noble, Don Abraham etc

Likely in hardly used barrels, which would give off more color. I also believe they use French Oak, which would head to that, as well as possibly aging it longer than usual

I would agree with you, although a lot of people are saying that the brand is slipping a bit. Maybe it did a little with the XA, from years ago, but I still think it's a really good brand

I think TMM is a joke sometimes. There are many tequilas on there rated way below what they should be.

It does have a lot of pepper, and you have to be ready for that
