Longer version of Carrie Fisher's Star Wars Audition
NOTE - The person who is reading lines with her is none other than Harrison Ford. He actually did George Lucas a favor, at least that day, and read with most of the people from what I've read. In all of the videos in the playlist, you'll notice he's in most.
NOTE #2 - I highly recommend you spend $1.99 on Amazon via SeeSo to watch her hosting SNL back in 1978. It has the classic bit "Beach Blanket Bimbo from Outer Space". I tried twice to share that, but it gets pulled in seconds
NOTE #3 - It's 2/1/24. I finished listening to Carrie narrate her final book, The Princess Diarist. Per her personal account, this day was the 2nd time she read for the part. She said there was a day before she met Harrison when she met George and Francis and read a bit. After which she was given a script and then did this audition. A week later she was offered the role. Finally, her age has been a question over the years, but per Ms. Fisher herself, she is 19 here.
