Just like you said, and I hope the Bulls follow, I would not play Lonzo at all until our first Home game at the United Center. I feel like Lonzo is putting too much pressure on himself. We don't NEED that. We can use Lonzo as a bench option and time manage him until we are CERTAIN that he can safely be out there. Lonzo still does not practice with contact. Until that time, I won't really take any of this seriously. I do think he will return next season, but Lonzo nor the Bulls will allow this to go too soon. Time management will be what is required for Lonzo next season. I don't want Lonzo starting till WELL past the All-Star game and I'm VERY serious about that. We just need him to come off the bench and show us what percentage of Lonzo is available. Even if Lonzo is 80%, I STILL don't want him to start til WELL past the All-Star game.
I just don’t want to put a time frame. If he can go through a training camp and be there For preseason (even if he doesn’t play) I’ll be happy to see him play game 1. Until then, there is no need to rush. If he is ready game one then great, if he is ready by the All Star break then that’s also good.
From what I’ve heard, even if he does come back, his athleticism won’t be the same and it’s unlikely his knee will hold up for more than a few years. Such a shame my ninja!!!!
His athleticism may not be the same but that isn’t exactly what he was known for anyway. Defensive intensity and high IQ with a 40% from three are what I am looking for!!!
If things go well for Lonzo, like unexpectedly great, do you think that changes things for Zach? is Zach still leaving, and what is our best Zach option these days?
I expect Zach to be gone before the beginning of next season. He hasn’t said he wants to stay and his agent said he wanted a trade last season. Bulls should honor that regardless of who we bring in
@@AidansBullsShow what do you think our lowest trade for Zach could be and what position do you most expect us to receive for Zach/what position/outcome would you want most
At the beginning of the season I say no. Too many questions needs answers when it comes to Lonzo. How many minutes will he play? Will there be load management involved??? Can he get back to the top level??? I don’t think it’s wise too have a backcourt duo that may barely play with each other. If all those questions get answered in a positive way, then yes I wouldn’t mind having this duo as a backcourt duo. They are both combo guards and can play off each other nicely. I also think both of them can make each other better on both ends of the floor. We just need to see what Lonzo we get back first!!!
