Another helpful video! I just read the detailed message below from Tuber Dog (All very excellent points and valid concerns). I also read Printify's responses, which were helpful. I'm working on my designs and in the process of opening a shop online. I'm glad you mentioned ordering a sample with a mosaic of our designs because I was going to ask if that was something that was offered. The RGB vs CMYK video was also helpful. I'm just hoping the samples I receive will be a direct representation of what my buyers will receive. All of this is such a great learning experience.

do i have to get a sample before each i put out a product? i cant afford that. I just started my store so do i need to only do this once?

Hi there! You do not have to get a sample for your products at all if you don't want to. Having physical examples of your product on hand to use for advertising, organic content, and more realistic mockups all help to build trust in your products for customers, but they are not necessary to start selling.

​@@yass_in-fu3mt I haven't started just yet. In my research I saw many videos on the subject just like you are doing. One seller shows several sample orders to verify the quality of the prints. 8 samples in one video, other samples in other videos. All from different Printify suppliers. Shirts, mugs, bags.... For my surprise at least half had issues. Colors, print placement, etc... The discourse that mistakes happen is okay but QUALITY CONTROL exists to catch them BEFORE SHIPPING. That is my point. On the shirts, several didn't even print a black outline from the seller's design. 1) don't ship out such "mistake"; 2) contact the seller to inform of the print problem and suggest a change in the design if the DTG they use cannot do the job correctly; 3) they all chose to ship them out anyways because at the end of the day, the seller never gets to see the print unless the end customer complains. One mug had 4 mistakes in the same order: 1) the print was super visibly stained; 2) there was a chip on the ceramic; 3) the packaging was wrong with the mug loose bouncing around during shipping; 4) all 3 mistakes were not caught by quality control and out to the customer it went. One sample had THE NAME OF THE SUPPLIER on the packaging ⚠⚠⚠ I am not trying to ruin Printify, on the contrary, I want to partner with them, but that seller opened my eyes on what to expect, which is NO QUALITY CONTROL. I wish Printify be more careful vetting the suppliers and demand them a better job on this front. According to the seller, most if not all the problem cases (2% out of almost 13,000 sales) were resolved via return or exchange, which is fine, this is the least one expects but the reputation is damaged. And all that makes me wonder what happens with all the cases any giving seller never gets to see. I am not making all this up, you can research for yourself. I love the POD business model. Printify and their suppliers have better pricing for the most part. This video here promotes buying samples. We cannot possibly buy samples for every order, every graphic or every item one seller has. Tons of money. Even a one time sample don't do much if quality control doesn't exist because the sample might come out okay this one time but not okay the other times. Sarcastically, that supplier with the 4 "mistakes" on the same order had it written on Printify's website boasting about quality control. Another thing, I suggest having someone you trust buy the samples for you. You paying for them, of course. This way the suppliers do not know the order is a sample unless you make it obvious. Maybe I'm wrong but i think 2% of mistakes that the end customers complained is a little too much I'm sure Printify does not want this headache too but they don't seem to be doing enough to prevent t. I don't even remember my exact question to them cuz they deleted it but this is a summary. In my view, the supplier should eat the loss and reprint the "mistakes" caught in quality control. Much better to "loose" $10 bucks than to loose a repeating partner for life. Sadly, some don't see it that way. The same goes for your relationship with YOUR customers (the end customer). If you have to loose a little money in case Printify and suppliers do not take the blame, so be it. To be fair, I believe when caught BY THE END CUSTOMER, they do take care of the problem. This is what I found from sellers and their videos online. I haven't started just yet. Roadmap: If a mistake happens, okay fine. If it goes on happening, change the Printify supplier and denounce them. If nothing changes, choose another POD partner. If none is good, print the items yourself. I don't want these companies to see me as an enemy, my criticism is for the greater good. Good luck.

We will try to address everything you raised. 1. We didn’t delete any comment you posted. RU-vid sometimes puts comments in a review stage before posting them, we don’t delete comments on our channel unless they’re rude or abusive. 2. We agree that 2% of products having an issue is not good enough. Our actual dissatisfaction rate is lower than 2%, but we’re not satisfied with that, and we won’t be satisfied until it’s 0.0% 3. We do vet and check all our Print Partners - millions of items are produced with Printify every day, and some do not live up to standards and a very small % of unsatisfactory items get through our checks - as we said, we’re not happy with this and we’re working all the time to make our processes better and our standards stricter 4. As you mentioned - we reprint or refund any item that falls below our standards - all of those problems you mentioned, if they happened on one of our orders, our support team would send out a reprint or refund as soon as they receive a photo of the unsatisfactory item. 5. Fixing issues with items like this costs us - and more importantly our merchants - money and trust from customers. We know this and are dedicated to making improvements so we can help more people add a revenue stream to their lives. 6. No item with a problem is sent out on purpose, it’s just a case of human error. 7.
