I was able to check out the 24 hole course just outside of Frankfurt, Germany on my recent trip overseas. I met Patrick, a great guy, who showed me around the course while I showed him so good ole American sarcasm. :D We had a great time and I hope you enjoy the video.
I had limited space in my luggage, so I tossed out some underwear and brought 6 discs with me. After my trip to London last year, I thought I would be smarter with my selection this time. I had to balance reliable discs with the possibility of losing them... So all of them are expendable except the Tennis Ball. (Which I then managed to leave on the last hole messing around... Patrick is going to mail it back to me.)
- MVP Relitivity Driver (Tennis Ball) because it is my workhorse dependable flip up long thrower. I told myself I better not lose this one. Yeah right!
- Halo Boss for overstable long throws and a utility disc at slower speeds.
- Thunderbird for a good all around stable/overstable 9 speed
- MVP glow reactor - semi overstable mid range that I could work forehands if needed... plus I have several so I wouldn't be crushed if I lost one.
- MVP Uplink - I love this understable midrange and I have a back-up
(I found out that I would have been in better shape to bring a single straight mid versus the two opposite mids.)
- Berg X - (Fireberg) I would have preferred a regular berg, but to fill the approach side... I wanted just a touch more stability, and I can adjust my putting to compensate. (Just took me a little time on the course.)
I could have played that course with my Relativity, my Vector (If I brought it), and my Berg for most of the holes, but you live and learn.
I ended up giving away my Berg x, Uplink, and Reactor to some guys in Moldova to help grow the sport. I had to remind myself... it is just plastic... :D
Thanks for watching!
