I guess i'd have a laugh too if somebody smashed my windshield with bar of gold ;P Also, after all this time, how is Tiffie still in charge of turrets?!

Capacity, the Capacitol of this world. Splitsie gave TFE a little love-tap, in his 19 thousand kilo craft covered in exposed propellers and exhaust flames. It's difficult to imagine any way that _wouldn't_ hurt. 40:13 The way the drone just stops right before hitting TFE's cover, looks at him without firing, then jets off, is hilarious. Like it's mad it didn't destroy his cover but wants to kill him that way rather than just shooting him. I could understand that, with the position of certain drones' weapons, it can be easier to just target and move forward than trying to hit them with the guns, but that would seem like a bad idea against ground targets, who always have something very unforgiving directly behind them. I can't tell if their targeting and flight is just weird (it seems like many of the planetary ASSERT craft go into a wild roll when damaged, which they don't seem to be able to actually stop doing much of the time) or if they're having similar issues to what you were with the dampeners and turrets. I wonder if the jump drive inhibitor works both ways. Can you jump into the zone, but not out? I can't imagine it stops you on the edge of the field, not with how the drives are proper teleporters, both mechanically and lore-wise (insomuch as it can be called lore), though that would be interesting. Curious as to whether TXVE will show up more as a faction. The half-track and its custom tread is intriguing to me. Are there large grid tracks? Because that might be fun. The mines are in ASSERT territory, so I'm sure it'll be fine to leave them behind. The searchlight being able to pick them out is a pretty neat idea for a scout vehicle, though.

pro tip- to determine the angle of a long bridge simply put a camera on the front of a block and see where it's pointing.

Capac was in fine form when our purple-clad new friend re-appeared, madly deforesting the area. Speaking of our new friend: The "whoosh" as Capac's quick-fire "The Goodies" response whizzed over Mr. Purple's head was absolute gold for those of us of a certain age!

I recommend watching Antiloompa’s 3 year old video, titled “Vanilla cloaking device in space engineers” Pretty much a sheet of light armor that AI and turrets won’t target through. Just thought I’d spread the info/idea, and see what you do with it, if you want to.

Perhaps it'd be helpful to put in izzys to have the materials for a new cockpit in your fighters storage. Alternatively you could place a helm or something on the rear of the ship as a backup.

(This is a repost of a comment I mad on the RV's at War on Flipsie. I just had a thought of something Keen, or Splitsie via a file mod, could do. Add "Dampeners On" and "Dampeners Off" to the cockpit/control seats rather than a blanket "Dampeners On/Off". The when someone who is notorious for forgetting to turn dampeners on before disconnect can have "Dampeners On" as an automatic step in an Event Controller. I thought of this when rewatching AA and Capacs troubles with his fighter falling off the raised Connector on the Moon Base.) TFE, for the flying Unknown Signals I line up with the button out of range then walk or run in to press the button quickly so it won't fly far. I just need a good solution for the roll away ones now. Good driving across the bridge Capac.

Refinery's are actually good for unwelded bridges, with a deck of 2x3 per plate its cheap and fast to place

i use a projector (of a super long stack of blocks) to determine angles. them align block using that.

Maybe put interior turrets for targeting only characters so rover can provide antypersonel cover fire. Also turrets when target locked ignore AI shoot range so yea better turn them off then setting them to 0.
