So apparently as of 23w41a, this type of functionality is actually being added to the game, which means this datapack has been made virtually redundant. Unironically, an awesome change by Mojang.
I feel like we need a datapack that is a custom map template for making zelda maps. I've worked on something similar for years, and it would be fun to do.
this is so amazing and deserve more attention.Thank you for your work it will be really helpful. Also do you have any idea how it could be implemented in a structure datapack ? So the generated structure can contain some pots that have those loot tables. I tried to find a solution by myself looking at the files you made but i didnt find any, i rly hope that you can answer on this haha
Fill pots like i showed in the video, then when you save the structure in an nbt file to go in the structure datapack, make sure you have "include entities" turned on. The pots are marked with marker entities, so if you don't save entities, that data will be lost.
@@conure512 i m so dumb, i did activate the entity when saving but forgot to activate them when loading... thank you for your response that was helpful in some way haha
hello!! I am trying to make a map and I am trying to make it so when a player breaks a pot with a specific sherd pattern it will drop a specific costume loot table, but I am really struggling Do you have an idea if what i am trying to do is possible?
You can fill different pots with different loot tables, it's all up to what type of NBT data you put on that carrot on a stick. I believe I start explaining that process/commands about halfway through the video.
