I cant remember how I discovered lord huron two years ago but they are my all time favourite band, there is nothing like them anywhere, and they are so unknown! I tellnearly everyone I meet to listen to them!
Discovered them because of my favourite show, Community! It played the very last episode and "End of the Earth" comes in and makes it more sadder! I just had to search it because it was so good. And now I have _my_ favourite band all thanks to _my_ favourite show! Fellow good recognizes the good, and I'm just so so happy that I found Lord Huron.
I can't believe it took me so long to find this song... almost 11 years after its release. I don't want to imagine a world where I didn't know this masterpiece exists. Thank you for reuploading this on Spotify. I don't think I would have found it otherwise. Masterpiece, truly.
You were a wild thing when you were younger, Stomping through the jungle. You were mighty and you were stronger But I bow no longer. All your temples will lie in ruin Once I ravage through them. All your rivals will not go near you But I do not fear you. Well, you howl and you roar, But I am not afraid of you any more. [x4] --- You were a wild thing when you were younger, Stomping through the jungle. You were mighty and you were stronger But I bow no longer. You think you can have it? Then come and get it.
I showed this to my baby cousin and it's since become his favorite LH song, out of every one of their others 😂 he may be young, but has exquisite taste nonetheless!!
What is the meaning behind this song? Is it about aging? Is it about thinking you're a big shot when you're young and full of vitality, only to be replaced by a younger generation that challenges your dominance?
Here are some pix and vids of Lord Huron at Chapman University's IndieFest 2012! *RU-vid won't let me add the link so just Google "littlekbigt blogspot lord huron" and click the link "kT: Chapman UPB's IndieFest 2012!" =] KEEP UP THE AWESOMENESS, LORD HURON!!!
