I clicked on his killdozer video hoping he was jumping on the recent trend of actually telling the truth about the incident. The instant he said that stupid opening line, I clicked off

The only thing I know about Lore Lodge was him arguing with Dead Domain in the comments under their Sound of Freedom takedown video.

I watched the Lore Lodge video to go to sleep. I think that’s the reason why nobody talked about it. I just played the video because I thought “oh, 1hr video talking Killdozer, nice”, not even 3 minutes in I fell asleep. I also think that’s the meta on RU-vid these days. Just talk about anything for hours, steal media if you can, nobody would care, because average users would sleep to >1 hour videos anyway. That’s the retention thing I guess. You either make short MrBeast-ified content or you make extremely long videos that people play in the background. No engagement at all, you don’t listen to people anymore, you just let them talk in the background.

I remember lore lodge went on the pka podcast a bit before they fell off basically because he was wendigoon’s friend and it was both funny and educational to watch a slightly right wing podcast meet their right wing friend’s more right wing friend and the inevitable freak out

Been watching Lore Lodge for a while and they have done some acceptable things relative to one or two cold cases but for the rest they have cringy "everything is sasquatch or wendigo" content. They shoehorn "I'm not saying it was supernatural causes buuuut" non-points in everything. And then they talk about physics and OH GOD WHY. Edit: he's a Historian by education, he's supposed to know how to make citations. Edit 2: Tyler, please, don't be angry at the superchater. Wow am I glad to *finally* hear someone on RU-vid speak about fair use honestly, instead of just saying "fair use" in the beginning of the video regardless of whether it is actually fair use or just outright copyright infringement, which seems to be happening more and more.

Genuine question: you said people like Hasan should get sued because he reacts to stuff on stream but I’ve been watching him for a few months now (I’m new to watching streamers in general, hence my confusion) and he does exactly what you are doing now; analyzing, commenting, adding criticism or context, etc, while watching. Is there a difference between what you do and what he does that I am not seeing? Is doing that not enough to be “transformative”? This stuff is confusing to me and I just wanna understand where that line is because I genuinely do not see the difference between your content and his.

I started watching his video having seen a couple on the incident and as soon as he said "reasonable man" I switched off. If you'd go to the lengths to create an armor plated bulldozer and go on a rampage because of spite you are not, in any sensible definition of the term, "reasonable".

I used to watch some of his videos as mindless entertainment but, especially after seeing his twitter, I got bad vibes. Calling the killdozer guy a reasonable man really cements it. I knew he was some sort of libertarian, but anyone who looks at what that guy did and tries to push the “reasonable man driven to extreme action” is the worst kind of libertarian. The kind of person who is fine with business owners pumping human shit into irrigation ditches and terrorizing and destroying towns to “stick it to the man” but would probably have an aneurism if, say, an environmental activist smashed up a business to protest polluting.

One thing I really like about Lore Lodge is every video he does, he talks about the native people to that area. Idk I just appreciate that. However you are right about pretty much everything you said here. I would watch another video of his that is less conspiracy brained. He does do *some* good work.

Dude literally spent half the video complaining about copyright infringement. Like after 5 mins, I GET IT BRO! TALK ABOUT THE CONTENT OF THE VIDEO ALREADY. Correction: After watching the whole vid, Tyler appears to dismiss the video without actually watching it which is why I clicked on this video in the first place. I usually agree with Tyler but he's complaining abut the guy's lack of crediting when his own examples of channels he likes don't credit anyone either. I really wanted to hear if the lore lodge guy was full of shit or not because someone I know has done business with him in the past but instead I got a video of Tyler's feelings about copyright and nothing about whether the killdozer video by lore lodge was actually accurate, factual or transformative in any meaningful way. I have a feeling maybe a predetermined bias was in play here but I can't be sure cause he never actually talked about what the video said or portrayed. Weak review/commentary in a rare L by Tyler, in my humble opinion.

If the primary issues are that they violated copyright as well as did not correctly cite sources, you should retitle the video and state that the lore lodge is terrible at research and citing sources. Since you did not, I can only assume that the real issue is with his political/religious views (which I disagree with wholeheartedly as a staunch liberal and Atheist), but we should not (as intellectually honest people) judge an argument by who the presenter is, yet judge an argument by the content of it’s validity/soundness/cogency. I hope all in the comments enjoy the rest of their Sunday.
