Hey guys I hope you enjoyed! I wanted to make this comment as some people have brought up the major changes I’ve made to the original story and greek mythos, I Should’ve explained this better in the video but the main thing i took from lore olympus was the different colored characters as I really liked that idea, but as story goes I went in a completely different direction mostly to make it something i enjoyed better personally, as I said there are smaller changes you can make to lore olympus to make it better, I just wanted to make it my own more ya know? As for greek mythos, I changed a lot, mostly because originally the morals as expected are very dated and honestly it made me kind of uncomfortable. I know that it’s not accurate to the source material but I didn’t really want it to be. I guess you could look at my take as a very loose representation of greek gods, I just wanted to make my story more lighthearted and fun so I felt I needed to rewrite some things i didn’t feel would fit in a more modern setting. In hindsight i wish I did more research on greek mythology So i could add more nuanced takes on things, if i ever do another part I’ll definitely try and add more references to The original stories for sure.
Would you ever consider a hazbin hotel vid like this? If it’s not up your alley, totally get it, but i’d be really interested in your idea of the character designs! Alastair for example seems to be doing way too much at once for that tumblr boy aesthetic lol. Much joy tho! Love ur redesigns of lore Olympus also lol
As a half greek these storys will always have a place in my heart yes they were more child friendly but I eventually learned the real storys and I really don't like lore Olympus for how ...strange the story is and hasn't handled alot well and your designs of them are so cute I love your version of the story I do think that lore Olympus could do better and I wish it did
I know it’s YOUR take on the story but I beg you to not screw up the ACTUAL characters in the myths. Kronos isn’t just a distant father, he literally ate his children in the myths to prevent being dethroned. He’s a bad man. And Zeus is a rapist as well as Poseidon and almost every male Greek god
@@Lilly_and_her_kittens This fr bc why Persephone pink but not Aphrodite?! Persephone should be some kind of shade of brown/muted greens (compared to her spring green mother) for vegetation/harvest. Why pink all over?!
I’m not even colorblind and it’s a pain in the ass sometimes. The design conventions are very samey, very similar hairstyles across the board, the fashion sense is very samey for every character no matter their personality, very strict designs between genders: man big and strong, lady dainty and small, good design /sar
Especially since they're Greek gods who are immortal and can look however the fuck they want. Age should be irrelevant because they're both old as dirt by human standards.
The author actually made her that young for her admitted fetish. Persephone in the myth due to the context of other gods ages was as old if not more than most of zeus' children.
I like that Hades has white glowy lashes. Made him look very pretty. Also Hades being younger makes sense since there is some evidence pointing to him becoming a god after Persephone. Persephone and her mother were very likely goddess of death before they joined the pantheon. Some could say that Persephone was destined for the underworld. Her mother brings spring and not Persephone so she isn’t the goddess of it. Her mom is making spring happen as a celebration for her coming to visit her once winter is over.
Would you mind linking this information about Hades being a God later? I'm reallly into greek mythology and I've never heard or seen anything about this and it sounds interesting :) (Or if not linking just let me know where you found this?)
@@dealtrial151 There's this good Miscellaneous Myths episode about Hades and Persephone by Overly Sarcastic Productions that explains that well. On top of going over the different versions of the myth, it goes over the different versions of the gods throughout the years/cultures
Wasn't Demeter eaten by Kronos just after she was born? She couldn't have had a kid there. When she was freed, Hades was freed too so thinking logicaly he is older than Persephone At least that's what I remeber, last time I read that part of mythology was in november so about 3,5 months ago
@@aiokenn Younger was meant as in he was added to the pantheon of gods later than the others (there was an older version of Perseidon that was both himself and Hades), not meant as he's younger in the mythology
dude them fighting about slave labor THEN LEADING TO A KISS SCENE!?!?!? BRO HELLOOOOO??? WHY DID SHE DO THAT THIS IS SO SICKKKK😭😭😭 its like a skit off of adult swim LOLLL
I laugh out loud when Emma said it in video. 😭I never read the webtoon because i saw an amazing video, which i can't find anymore, about how bad this comic is and low key dangerous. That moment came out of nowhere for me. 🫠
As a Classical Greek scholar, your interpretations of the characters and redesign of the original myth is really cool! It’s different, but even in the original myths, Hades and Persephone were always a healthy couple (even straight after the kidnapping as it was Zeus’ idea). Personally, I think that the story of Cupid and Psyche would be a better web toon but I’m just blabbering now, LUV UR DESIGNS
Agree with everything but the "Hades and Persephone were always a healthy couple". Sure, there's some myths where they are, but in most Persephone is hinted at (or outright stated) to be miserable (i.e. Homeric Hymn to Demeter). But there's also the issue of how much of Persephone's misery was just an allegory for the death of a young woman before marriage. However, when removed from the myths and stripped down to their bare characters like Emma does, it can be very successful.
Not sure where the fuck you read that his neice was in a happy and healthy relationship with him after he not only kidnapped her but forced her to marry him and sacrifice half of her entire life to him, causing both her and her mother to fall into severe depression, but okay.
Within the context of the Greek pantheon where nearly every god repeatedly cheats on there spouses often non consensually. They are the most functional with only one incident and the kidnapping which would not have been viewed as abnormal in their culture.
Your version of Persephone and Hades gives me “If you were my wife, I would put poison in your coffee.” “If you were my husband I’d drink it.” I absolutely love all of the designs, and you’re a big inspiration to me! ( fellow artist over here ) I’d love a tutorial on how you shade and render cause it’s really good!! ( I suck at coloring ESPECIALLY clothes ) Edit OMG TYSM FOR THE LIKES 😭❤️
Wait wait, okay. So you're trying to tell me *Artemis* is the one who tab her that first dress? Artemis? Goddess of the hunt, maidens, and the moon (kinda). Artemis, protector of women and knows how weird and horny the gods can be on a regular basis?? Suuuurrreee
@@jessnalulila5552yeah I have no idea what the point of her being given that label was. She’s never seen truly confronting her brother and by the end of the comic is basically forgotten about. Persephone and Artemis never really make up and that irks me terribly
og lore olympus: weird as hell romance. funky art [derogatory]. aimless plot. your lore olympus: intriguing plot. wonderful character designs. cute romance with dramatic irony i would read it if you were writing it
@@MarshyMell it feels too inconsistent while simultaneously being too samey. like emma mentions in the video most of the characters look identical to other characters of the same gender when you get rid of the colors, and yet each character looks completely different from themselves depending on the panel. im not a fan personally
Yes, and yes again, however, i would say LO: all the stuff You said + pretty mythologically acurate, New LO: all the stuff You said + not myth acurate at all. That being said, not everyone cares about myth accuracy. It could just be a story instead of a reteøling of a myth.
after watching this just my thought is if they wanted something not creepy and close to the original myth it could had been a book on Hades finding comfort in developing a friendship with Persephone after being alone in the underworld forever. that way it's strictly platonic. just a dude trying to cope with loneliness, friendlessness, and possible feelings of abandonment from his own family and Olympus. him trying to work through his problems with someone to finally confide in
Your Hades looks like has the type of character development where he starts very proper and uptight and ends the series walking around with hidden funky sock patterns under his trousers at any event possible. Gets married to Persephone while wearing dog socks.
I've always liked the mythology behind Hades and Persephone (not including the kidnapping and the fact that Persephone is Zeus niece or smth), so I really enjoy seeing peoples new interpretations of it. Lore Olympus has always been a little iffy for me- like a 'good intentions but bad execution' sort of deal- so I really loved seeing your take on it! Also the designs are AMAZING!!
I like the explanation in Punderworld - the Gods are explained to be pure energy and don't have human ties like in blood and such - but they refer to each other as siblings or parental figures /offspring as a way of affection that they saw humans display. Hades wants to propose to Persephone and ask Demeter for her blessing - they've both met and interacted with each other before, Persephone doesn't know however that he's Hades because her mom said he was a nobody. Zeus realizes that Hades is in love and sends down a carriage to help him. Persephone is curious and interacts with the carriage, which sends her flying off - and Hades tries to save her. After landing them in the underworld after some crash landing hijinkks, Persephone knows of his real identity and they get on well, with her getting a tour of the underworld and Hades wanting to escort her back home. There's little to no miscommunication, Persephone is not this overly young (since the whole energy thing makes clear that they're all old beings) - and Demeter, while overly protective, is not this bad like the one in Lore Olympus. Her reason is that the gods (namely Zeus) have been cruel to her (leaving her with Persephone, killing her mortal lover) and she wants to protect her daughter and only family from it. It's also tied to Persephone having a bigger role, being actually responsible for blossoms and such. The world-building is amazing. A bonus comic reveals what would have happened had Zeus not interfered and Hades had asked for Persephones hand in marriage. Demeter makes him swear on oath on the river Styx to value their relationship and agrees to talking about it. The designs of the Gods are neat, they come of as human and overly mighty - Zeus is for example interesting; he's still smarmy, but his cheating is displayed as exhaustion in his marriage with Hera, who is not always easy to get along with. And this Apollo is an absolute dorky sweetheart who's good friends with Perse.
I agree! It takes most of the bad stuff from the myth and leaves or changes some if the good stuff. I think the later chapters are better, but they dont really make it up for the bad beginning.
my main issues with lore Olympus is evil Apollo (like he's my favorite greek god, why'd they make him like that-) and how far it strayed from the plot like, im so confused at this point I only read it because I love the colors.
Yes! Thank you! Finally someone, who isn´t shitting on Demeter. I always thought she was a terrible mother and then I read the original myths O.o Could she have done better? Sure. But her actions absolutely makes sense. She was trying to protect her daughter and yet she's been misidentified as an overbearing mother, standing in the way of Hades and Persephone's romance.
Demeter was the main focus of the original myth. A grieving mother story. Which was important at the time because many mothers back then also had to deal with loosing their daughters to arranged marriages without getting to say goodbye. The original was already pretty feminist.
i remember reading this when i was 14 i re-read it a couple weeks ago and oh my god the messages in this webtoon are… interesting to say the least! how did i ever like this series 😭😭
Me too I read it when I was 16 and I was so obsessed with this comic and I even got to 200 chapters and then I stop reading it because I lost interest.
The reason why Hades was so touchy about the volcanoes was because they were supposedly given to him by his mother, he actually ends up giving them to Demeter. But that begs the question, why didn’t he just tell Demeter in the first place?? She was willing to haggle?? The whole reason she hates him is because he screwed her over?? I dunno Great video!! ❤️❤️
I read this comic when I was younger and I’ve ALWAYS hated the solid color designs. I’m glad you pointed it out bc most of the time when I thought a specific character(like Hera or Artemis) was talking… IT WAS A TOTALLY UNRELATED CHARACTER THAT WAS THE SAME COLOR.
Yo imagine Hecate actually knowing about the deal and being involved with the deal herself, trying to make sure Hades and Peresphone get together in the Underworld. The reveal would be heart wrenching because Peresphone and her would become besties at that point, and even the audience wouldn't have been shown this information until Peresphone herself figures it out. DRAMA ENSUES
actually in pain over the fact that this isnt the Lore OLympus we got 😭😭your designs and ideas are amazing!!! its so so refreshing to see these characters be so distinct and unique from each other when it was so hard to differentiate between characters in LO. the persephone design ESPECIALLY LIKE !!!! its sooo good seeing her as a headstrong, go-getter businesswoman when the original LO persephone was just kind of passed around among other characters and never really had an identity of her own. Great video, love your humour lol
Heyo, found this video circulating around the ULO community and saw you plugged my own rewrite LORE | REKINDLED ! Thanks so much for the shout-out, I've been getting loads of people in my ask inbox and comments telling me they found me through you!!
THE WAY I GIGGLED SEEING HADES LMAO ALL THE DESIGNS ARE AMAZING AND THE NEW STORYLINE TOO Also in Greek myth, Hades does have an association with volcanoes
I actually really like the arranged marriage thing with Hades and Persephone. Because the original myth (aka the kidnapping) was pretty much an arranged marriage (ancient Greek standards). Hades asked Zeus (he was Persephone's dad) permission to marry Persephone and Zeus gave him the okay. AND Persephone is pretty much the only Goddess with a queen status that was considered EQUAL to Hades if not more feared than Hades. Overly Sarcastic Productions has a great video about Hades and Persephone that I highly recommend checking out. Great video btw! Definitely going to follow!
ALL of these designs have me crying and screaming 🥺🥺 YOUR STYLE IS SO PRETTY??? I’m SO glad you aged Hades down so much and honestly this entire rewrite/design is slaying hard
I seem to remember the volcanoes having something to do with Hades’ mother Rhea, and he doesn’t want to give them up because she’s dead and she was incredibly special to him (also Rhea looks exactly like Persephone wtf)
I always love the way u rewrite and redraw ur characters into something different and it’s refreshing to see a more in depth analysis of what this character could be I just love ur work so much
NO BECAUSE THE WAY IM SO EMOTIONALLY ATTACHED TO THESE NEW CHARACTERS MORE THEN I AM WITH THE ACTUAL WEBTOON... THIS NEEDS TO BE A SERIES PLEEASEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!
loooove your designs here! persephone looks so cute but fiesty! and i love the hippie mom route u went with demeter i think its very fitting and im in love with her nest crown
Funny enough, I considered recapping myself on the Lore Olympus. Something about the story rubbed me the wrong way... wasn't sure if it was the Mary sue favoritism on Persephone or the obnoxious story-telling but your video pointed out everything why I had such an ick towards the story! Your reimagination is not only aesthetically pleasing but elevated, which could've made it beautiful as a story! Underrated as hell, New subscriber :))
The improvement between your first and second Hades designs is so inspiring ngl. Like of course it all kind of boils down to personal preference, but seeing you push through a design you weren’t so happy with to create such a lovely second one is such a healthy, freeing work ethic. Really great work!!
I love this re-write, the designs are absolutely adorable, I love that you fixed the age gaps and personalities too. I’ve never read nor wanted to read lore Olympus so I don’t know too much about it but from what I’ve seen this is absolutely amazing
I have so many mixed feelings on Lore Olympus. While I will always love season 1, after season 1, I became mixed. Season 3 is eeeh. I always in some ways relate to this version of Persephone. Especially when she was 19. I definitely see where a lot of people are coming from with the major issues with LO. Persephone should have had more agency as a woman and as a character in this retelling and it doesn't do that good of a job at that. I agree with your issues completely. Woah, I never heard of LORE | REKINDLED! I'll check it out! I love your rewrite so much and your redesign of Persephone is so fucking beautiful. Edit:Just checked out LORE | REKINDLED and caught up with it. This version is ten times way better written than LO. Things are actually well thought out and the characters feel more human or relatable as well, especially Persephone. She has a lot more agency in this story and doesn't feel too naive and has a backbone and isn't treated like she's the best damn thing ever lol. The art feels more consistent and I love how everyone stands out from each other instead of looking the same. Body shapes, especially. The new additions feel organic as well and the impact of Persephone's wrath. A must read! As much as I am still a LO fan, Chapter 230 was it for me when wanting to see Demeter get better. I didn't like it and it felt so bitter and mean. Also, yeah....looking closely at Hades again, there are things I can't ignore for what he has done that were questionable.
With the Hermes and hades wing crown idea, hades crown could be one set of wings around his head, and Hermes could be three sets of wings attached to his head, kinda like a biblically accurate angel
Yeah, his mother gave them to him as a gift, he later on says that they feel like his only connection to his home and gifts them to Demeter as an act of reconciliation
@@hittheroadjack2014 honestly I don't remember, I think he apologized for being rude and not signing the paper allowing her to be queen of the mortal realm. Not sure if he specifically said "sorry for calling you names" or something close.
These designs are sooo good! It’s nice how they still look like the og characters, but they’re more developed. Also the editing on this has me dying omg 😭
oh my gosh. oh my gosh i LOVE your designs so much. it's so cute. it caters to my office-job-romance loving heart while still having the deranged imorality we expect of olympus!!!!
I HAVE A GREAT IDEA FOR THE HECATE CHANGING THING. Her style and hair (mostly hair for my idea) can change with the story, it being "night-like" at the beginin and becoming "morning-like" in the course of the story. It could be funny if other gods mention how much she changed and stuff srry for my bad english btw
Dude just make it into a comic I'm so sold!!! Like you can just say it was inspired by lore Olympus!! Even though is completely removed story like these new designs and storylines are yours!!! I love the more mundane and chill aspects of your version and I still do like lore Olympus I agreed with almost every you said. I loved this video!!
as someone who also read it for the first time at like age 12-13 i remember really loving it back then but revisiting it… its impossible to ignore the weird aspects 😭 i really love your interpretation and rewrite of the story AAA i’d love to see more!!
On my hands and knees PLEASE MAKE MORE you're words are so silly(positive!) that you made me subscribe from just this video alone(im new btw) and I was on the verge of crying from how the vibes just were so RIGHT 😭😭 continue doing you!!!!
For clothing like lingerie, i think she would wear more cute and modest stuff. Like almost a nightgown? I think it fits the cute personality they try to portray but they genuinely fail at showing the individual personality through clothing, and it doesn't help they all look alike. Its creepy how they make her so childish? Would love too see a revamped series with better story and more though in the little details
I’ve been following you for a year now and I want to say that your stories, redesigns and ocs have been my favorite parts of my day when you upload. Your brain is so so big when it comes to this lol and it always boggles my mind, you’ve inspired me to work on my world building skills for my ocs and I just wanted to say thank you so much, keep doing what you love!!
I loved all your takes! The mythology geek in me was going a little insane with Hades being the youngest but honestly. It serves a narrative purpose and retellings don't have to be '''canon'''
Don't really know anything about Lore Olympus, but I'm always excited for your creative redesigns and changes for it!!! Love how you approach this stuff, it always inspires me. ☀️
I love the wings on the head! It actually matches because hypnos (titan/god of sleep) has wings on h8s head too a d I'm pretty sure he's closely related to Thanos so it kinda matches!! They also look very cool
omg i remember trying SO hard to get into lore olympus 2 years ago but i just couldn't, and watching this video now made me realize why💀💀 the whole story just feels like something a booktok girlie would write if they had the ability to draw (i mean that as an insult)
i read most of the chapters before i gave up after a couple hundred. the reason hades is ao protective over his volcanoes is bc they were gifted to him by his mother. love your designs and rewrites!! your art style is super pretty ❤
that’s about the time i dropped it as well, i don’t what happened but i think after the court case things just took a very noticeable drop in my brain that i just decided to drop it once and for all…
a better reimagine of persephone and hades' story is 'girl, goddess, queen' by bea fitzgerald it's SO GOOD i swear. it's definitely more well researched on the original myth and it doesn't sexualise persephone, plus - she has an actual personality!! it's like... annoyances to lovers. i love it. 10/10 highly recommend (also!!! very healthy!!! go read it it's so asdhgkhfgkdjhfjdkjh yk)
i reeeeeeally hated how after the first arc is over and hades + persephone reunite, persephone says she DOES want to become hades's wife and queen eventually, but wants to have a life to herself first and live alone, go on dates, basically build herself up as an individual and build the relationship woth hades over time, as a normal couple. INSTEAD they get engaged in like the next 3 or so episodes and she never fucking gets to be independet and unberdened by some bullshit punishment or vendette by some other god
OMG. I never realized how problematic the actual plot is lore Olympus haha I actually stopped reading because everything got so confusing so fast, and all the characters looked so much alike😭😭 Your rewrite and character designs look so so cute good job Emma!!!
I don't usually do this but as someone who grew up listening to Greek myths on repeat the missed potential with the designs in this series hurts so bad. Like even if simple is the goal, there's a fuckton of 2000's cartoons that have simple yet recognisable designs that tell you all you need to know about the characters
I loooooove redesign vídeos and your art is so pretty, I genuinely wanna chew on it like a dog toy Just a small correction bc I'm a nerd: Hades is not the god of death, he's the god of wealth(prob why he insulted Demeter's jewelry, still not a cool thing to do man)BUT he pulled the proverbial "short straw" and had to rule the underworld. Thanatos is the god of death. This is a very common misconception (since Hades is the ruler of the underworld a lot of people just called the underworld 'Hades') and I don't blame anyone for making this mistake but it gets to me a bit lol the only thing that REALLY annoys me is portraying Hades as a Greek Devil™
Yes! I knew thanatos was the god of death sorry if I said Hades was, I didn’t know hades was the god of wealth though which is a lack of research on my part lol, does make more sense with is characterization in the comic now.
@@emmasaurt I get that, I also didn't know for he was the god of wealth for a long time, I just never really thought about it that much he was just some guy who got stuck with his job to me lol also, fun fact: like all the big three he has a special weapon that simbolizes him, it's an invisibility helm!!
also also the whole Apollo SA storyline made me feel so uncomfortable while reading and I just kept waiting for the author to close this plot line or do something meaningful with it and it just kept going ooooonnnn, it was especially icky to me bc out of all the characters she could have chosen to be an incel she chose my boy Apollo, one of the gods of art, inspiration and prophecy!! My guy was just as problematic as the other guys, don't get me wrong, but was mostly just chilling doing his own thing and it was very much not girlboss of the author to have Apollo as the golden child when Artemis is literally his twin and Zeus's favorite(sorry I'm rambling, this webtoon makes me a bit mad since it was such a disappointment to me)
This is coming from a person hasn't read Lore Olympus/greek mythos so take this with a grain of salt but I think the reason why Demeter and Zeus have purple in their designs is because of purple's history as a colour Back in the old days, purple items were very expensive because purple was very difficult to produce which led to only royals/rich people wearing them because it was super expensive. Purple was easy to find in nature but was different to produce stuff for. Demeter has purple on her probably because it's a common colour found in nature, mostly plants and Zeus is purple because of purple's royal status. At least that's what I think. I just thought it'd be interesting to bring up, your designs are gorgeous btw!!
purple is one of the least common colors in nature tho, thats why it was so hard to produce. The green makes a lot of sense as a nature goddess, but purple doesnt relate to any aspect of her domain as an agricultural goddess. Instead of purple she should have wheat yellow or gold heair bc shes the goddess of grain and wheat/barley were staples in ancient greece. a green/purple palette wouldve been great for dionysus at least. as for zeus, its not a bad idea to incorporate purple into his design bc ur right about it being a royal color, but its not a color most people would associate him. and its just waaaayy too much purple, too much of this singular dark shade. it wouldve been nice if rs gave changed his skin or hair color to smth else, or reserved it for his clothes instead. zeus just has a bad design overall. theres no motiffs to indicate his status or godly domain and you wouldn't guess king of the gods/god of lightning from his palette
Whaaaaaat?!!?!? How did I only find this channel now? 1. Your persona is very squishable and so is your artstyle. 2. Your voice is really relaxing! Has nothing to do with the video, but I'm definitely subscribing :3 Keep doing what your doing!!!
I like the designs, especially hades. The smooth hair and laid back expression really fits the story you gave. And omgosh I love the story you gave him, would’ve been soo much cooler to read. But I do have to say pers design was a little weird a choice for me considering she typically is depicted as a beauty, Mother Nature and all that. She’s more so cute and dorky here? When she’s in your story supposed to be this workaholic that could be considered a perfectionist. I’d honestly expect some sharp edges to her design. Which is fine in hindsight. This is just my opinion.
I love your version of this, but I think Zeus should be the youngest because of the origins and their father was killed by Zeus (which saved his siblings in the process). That's really all, but either way, you did a better job retelling than in the webtoon :D
He could still have a beard - maybe it gets more full in resemblance to clouds when he gets more into his god mode. While Zeus is the youngest sibling of the 6, Hades is actually the youngest by creation - he doesn't exist in the oldest texts of Greek civilization, while Zeus and Poseidon do. Poseidon was apparently a mix between his hellenistic version and Hades, as king of the underworld and sea. He was even ruler of the cosmos instead of Zeus, since the Mycenaeans worshipped catatonic (underworld) Gods. Persephone is also older than Hades, as she existed in those texts, being the daughter of Demeter and Poseidon. Demeter is Poseidons queen and still in her assigned role. I personally think that Poseidon kidnapping Persephone is a form of child-custody battle, that ends with them sharing Persephone and her living one of her parents at each turn of the year.
i love hearing about people's redesigns and rewrites of concepts that had potential but just had terrible execution so i know this is IMMEDIATELY gonna become a top 10 vid for me
As a greek, I find this comic really IRRITATING. I get that the plot is modernized but the characters are unnaturally inaccurate to the Greek gods (both in design and personality)! You really gave those guys justice with the redesigns, thank you very much for the amazing video
Your version is so nice and refreshing, not having Persephone being a naive child and an actual adult is already so much nicer! Also, they having different shapes for each character makes them more unique
Please, I need another part. I need to fix the scar that this comic left that gave me the ick. The redesign and story are so much better and healthier, ty for healing this trauma slightly :D
Honestly i HATED this entire comic ever since people started to tell me about it but thankfully after watching this i guess you kinda fixed it for me. Also, i would've accepted the story IF the age gap wasn't so disgusting.. like the writer could've easily made the gap smaller?? Like make Persephone over 27 or something cause that would've been practically okay?? ALSO! ares in this gave me so much anger that i cant even comprehend 💀 since in the Original myths ares was a protector of women, the ONLY male god who never ever Assaulted a woman (kinda ironic considering who his dad is) So it peeved me alot whenever he was on screen.
I love ur character designs theyre so pretty and the colors r so cute and i like the Tomodachi Life sound effects and Club Penguin music in the background also lmao
I love the new designs and the rewrite! Like most people, I read Lore Olympus but dropped it at some point. The story and designs became a turnoff for me so this was refreshing! I hope to see more redesigns in the future (if you decide to do them, that is)! 🥰
So I heard Lore Olympus was just Mads Mikkelsen self-insert fanfiction, which ok valid (Kojima has one too aka "Death Stranding") but lmaooo the critiques of this was great and love your redesigns! Also I'm yelling at the memes. Someone joked this was "Straight people yaoi" and I screamed because it's so true
I was in tumblr era. It was exactly how people described it. Back then Author had this nsfw side in patreon too. While I never got to see it, some of the drawings were...interesting. Like HAdes using Persephone as a fleshlight
As a person who loves Greek myths I never really got bothered by it because it made sense due to old lore and old-fashioned ways of thinking but it is supposed to be modernized and that's not very modern in most of the case scenarios shown in the damn story so I understand the displeasure😅😅😅
i love hecate as both a comic relief and a mystery bc i love when the funny characters are also badass! i imagine theres a big moment when she does something cool and finally takes off her glasses and shows her eyes like a power up thing lol
Also wanted to add this in based on the original myth Persephone is the daughter of Demeter and Zeus, and hades is Demeter and Zeus’ sibling as well therefore making hades Persephones uncle on both sides of the family
