Hello, I am Roger K Young... and your information is incorrect in a few things that I know about, though much of your report, as far as I understand it, is correct. In actuality...I really don't know much of anything about Chad and Lori...except how terrible, crazy and unbelievably sad/horrible it all is. When I occasionally watch the local news reports on the trial... I find it all horrible... almost beyond comprehension. Truly evil. 1) First of all... Yes, I did start AVOW (Another Voice of Warning) almost 25 years ago and then sold it to Christopher Parrett. I got heavily involved in making a living via selling and installing Solar Energy and other things and had no time for the website. That was almost 15 years ago. I did write for it part time doing an analysis of Global events for several years, but even that proved too time consuming. 2) When I left, at that time Chad had published a couple of fictional story books on the last days. Many people, including myself, thought they were not even very good fictional books...kind of childish. Chad became somewhat involved with the AVOW website after I left. 3) I only met Chad once, for about 5 minutes at a July 4th BBQ. I didn't particularly like him, and so mostly ignored him. No one knew at that time he had a secret "life" or "doctrine" that he only gave to "special" people... people I would call gullible. I never went to any of his lectures on the last days. 4) In this video.. you claim that Chad helped write DREAMS AND VISIONS #3. Never happened. In fact, I didn't even help write the book... just Christopher... though he asked me to write a forward to it, which I did. And all Christopher did was collect dreams and visions that both LDS and non LDS people were sending into the website. There is not much authoring in the book. Again, let me repeat... Chad had no part in writing any book with me or with Christopher. 5) I would appreciate it in the future... If you would please do more due diligence and get your facts straight right from the source, before publishing incorrect information. That would make your "reports" more authentic. Other than this minor issue... I have listened to some of your podcast and found it interesting and informative on many things I did not know. While listeners might wonder how well you knew him, in no way do I attempt to answer that. As far as my due diligence- If your name was once labeled as an author on a book you didn’t author, you should be disappointed in your friend Christopher parrett’s due diligence and authenticity for putting that falsehood on the cover. I wouldn’t think I’d need to call an author to confirm they wrote a book that had their name as an author, on a series about Dreams and Visions that they began. While the authorship on volume 3 has since been changed to reflect Christopher Parrett as the author, I hope you’d understand my scrutiny and questions that remain due to the name Chad daybell being removed completely only after, it seems, his name became problematic. I think there is some social and cultural factors that don’t help men in general. Domestic violence happens against men as well but they don’t have half the support women do. I think this is true too as far as how the police departments lack of training regarding domestic threats against the male partners as we see here in the Charles situation. He asked for help and he didn’t get the protection needed.
The police may have prevented many of these tragedies, by heading Charles's warnings! I'm surprised they haven't been sued! Maybe after Charles's court case!😮

Yes, all 4 of the murders in this case are tragic. But, sometimes I feel like Charles’s story gets lost in all the noise surrounding the wacky religious-doctrine-talk. He is an unsung hero, who tried so hard to warn family, friends, and authorities… all in vain.
Lori had threatened death to Charles and had told him she could kill him so why are people so hesitant to believe Audrey’s testimony yesterday? I thought what she had testified about Lori saying she acted like a child and would believe anything sounded just like Lori. I hated Lori’s attorney yelling at Audrey when she is obviously traumatized and horrified at what she allowed herself to believe. I absolutely believe Lori said that to Audrey. I mean, Lori allegedly murdered her whole family and some other people. Also, in my opinion, Audrey has no reason to get up on the stand and say Lori said that, unless Lori said it. There are people in the group/cult who are still free, if Lori and Chad called them up to hurt Audrey, they probably would.
Audrey’s story describes exactly what Lori has always done when someone questions her or gets in her way. I’d say her life would have been in danger after that if Alex hadn’t died and Chad and Lori hadn’t gone on the run.. Lori had zero tolerance to people doubting her.
I think most of her testimony was true ...but there are parts I didn't fully believed .. of course I could be wrong .. but ..I doubt a lot of anyone within that cult has to say ..most seem to be easy running from a sinking ship (Especially the Melenie's David and Zulema )
You know we are the best representation of what a jury is thinking and feeling...it gives me hope to think that if you felt hurt and disgusted, and know she was describing Lori perfectly, and Lori's lawyer made you dislike them because of how they treated the witness, then the jurors felt the same.

She had full temple recommendations… they are more concerned about your compliance in Tithing. As long as you tithe 10% of your income they over look bad behavior. Alex lost his temple recommendation twice for sexual addiction, sexually promiscuous and having sex with a 15 year old. The church let him come back after being excommunicated twice.
What puzzles me is that in order to attend church, one must get a recommendation. No Christian church would require that. Must of the LDS directly contradicts the Bible. Jesus told us there will be no marriage in Heaven yet the LDS teach the opposite. The Bible says to not add or take away from God’s Word yet the LDS does. The list could go on for hours. I don’t get it.
Charles said Lori said she would kill him. Lori’s own words I am going to kill Joe Ryan or go to the temple. Audrey stated she would kill her. These are not just threats!

Audrey was more then real...she believed in Lori's fables but her sincere Prayers rattle her to caution...but , the True evil of Lori shuck her to the core after she revealed her dark side . Audrey breakdown on the stand was the terror she still experiences.

Knowing things and being guilty are two different things. You have to ACT not just suspect. They have to DO Something to be guilty. "I heard it was going to happen" doesn't count as being guilty of doing it yourself.
Agreed many more knew what they were doing in the name of God. Their gods were themselves. To see them in Hawaii lounging by the pool after killing their spouses and her children. It just wtf…damn just get a divorce and give children to your family. What is done in secret will be exposed.
The victims: Charles - wonderful human being. Faithful husband & financial provider. Tammy - wonderful human being. Smart & provided financial support to her husband's failing book company. Tylee - beautiful young lady with her entire life ahead of her. Wonderful judge of character (she disliked Chad!) JJ - a sweet and energetic little boy who was loved to the ends of earth and back by his grandparents, The Woodcocks. The universe lost quite a bit of kindness, talent, sparkle, energy and intelligence when we lost these 4 human beings.
And Chad still got an extra 13 months today until his trial. June 2024. Their victims will be gone nearly five years by then. Yes, he's in a county jail right now, but that is nothing like prison is going to be for him, and meanwhile the families still have to wait all of this time for justice.

When Chad gave that last blessing to Alex, I think there had been a previous conversation between them that if he ever was getting close to being exposed for the killings of Tylee, JJ and Tammy, that he was to commit suicide. He died with pink foam in his mouth...same as Tammy. There is a poison that causes asphyxiation that causes that pink foam. It's just too much of a coincidence that the day after Tammy is exhumed, Alex dies.

I just hope you're right. Hopefully, Chad will plead guilty so the families don't have to endure another trial. If it goes to trial, Chad's kids will get drug into court and he might not want that. The evidence against him is overwhelming. He doesn't have a chance. Tylee and JJ need to be laid to rest decently. I do think there are others that need to be charged with conspiracy and possibly other crimes. They should not get away with their parts in these horrific crimes!

You found SPENCER?! Omgosh! I’ve always wondered! I read Visions of Glory probably 7 times in 2015-2016. I thought it was an LDS apostle trying to keep his identity private. Holy smokes! 🤯 I was a faithful LDS member all my life, born “into the covenant. My parents were converts in their teen years. I left the church in my 30’s in 2020 in a full on “faith crisis.” Un-learning the church’s teachings and the ideas I thought were doctrinal in Visions of Glory is an ongoing process, even 3 years later. If y’all haven’t read it- you’ve got to. It’ll give you insight into their frame of mind and their self proclaimed authority (which the LDS church supports as long as it’s within their parameters)…. I know plenty of people who drink the Kool-Aid and can easily see the slippery slopes they created and the traps they set up for people in the name of their faith. I can’t get enough of this case. Your investigations, Lauren and Dr. John bring perspective and insight we can all appreciate. Very proud of you for seeing the truth about the insanity that you were surrounded by. I can’t imagine what it’s like to realize that you were put in such a toxic environment. I was raised Catholic but I never bought into it. I remember pretending to pray and making up sins to confess to in confession. I truly believe that organized religion is and always has been a way to control people and keep them in fear so they will comply.
Chad is a Covert Narcissist, who has harboured hidden grandiosity all his life. By meeting Lori and through his books, he, the first time in his life, tasted that coveted glory and the intoxication he felt was nothing less as otherworldly, no doubt he conflated it as his calling. As a magical thinking narc herself, Lori must have 'love bombed' him, seeing him as her prophet, and he, elevated her to his goddess and of their realm. So he did what he did, he must have Lori, and the magic going. How could he not, a hot blond he never thought would have a chance with, was enthralled by him? Lori on her part was equally hooked on Chad's adulation of her and the elation coming from domination over the followers as their spiritual goddess. I am a covert narc myself albeit of highly developed conscience, and can see this happening all so clearly, as I had my kick of grandiosity that I never thought as possible briefly in my life. Those two psyched up each other all through their gory trajectory to the distractions.

I would argue this channel does the MOST when it comes to due diligence. Hidden True Crime is arguably the best, most accurate contributor of journalism when it comes to this topic. There seems to be a trend of people attempting to distance themselves from the Daybells, now that we know all about these horrific criminal acts committed by Chad, Lori, Alex and others.

I will never forget learning of this case and not really seeing anything on youtube, so I looked for a podcasts, came across Hidden. I have listened and listened over and over. I have tried finding other podcasts but after hidden, nothing does it justice. Then seeing you both grow, tv ect.... I almost feel apart of that. Yes, I watch youtube but I don't go on lives and chat, or wait for new episodes. I am very proud of you. I hope after this case, this channel grows enough financially that we can get you both full time. I also know the sacrifice your family has made for this case. I live in Kansas, so many of my peers have never heard of this case. Even fellow crime junkies. The netflix series, I felt was not done well, if I did not know about the case, so many things were left unspoken. I hope you read this, I am very proud of you and thank you for everything. It's all too 😢! As a mom who adores her children (& cares for humanity), my heart is crushed by the overwhelming panic that has to be experienced when a parent/guardian is taking your life. I thank God every day for the family I was blessed with. I don't know much about Mormons but it seems every time we hear more about LDS, the more they go astray??? Warren Jeffs & many like him, This insanity by Lori & Chad (&friends) I just don't get it? Don't we all learn, regardless of faith, early in life that's it's wrong to harm, hate or kill any of our neighbors?

From my understanding the Book of Mormon was written as fiction and started to be believed as fact so Chad just followed in the footsteps of Joseph Smith! The original Mormon storyteller!
I’ve had those young Mormon elders come to my door and I tried to steer them toward using the Bible but they won’t.. They only want to use BOM and I tried to tell them that if they wanted to teach someone about God they needed to use the book of preference to their listener not the Book of Mormon.. but they had no clue what was even in the Bible!

There’s a website called Mormon Discussion, and chronologicals the supporting evidence that shows how Joseph Smith created the book of Mormon. I grew up Mormon and just left the church in 2020. I’ve read the BOM plenty of times. It’s confusing and hard to comprehend. I’m reading the Bible for the first time in my life and I’m blown away at how easy, clear and concise it is. I’ve never been more fulfilled 🙏🏻 All glory to God. The Mormons are comfortable in their communities and their culture. They are not interested in an interruption of their beliefs or lifestyle, who would be? I was devot for 36 years. I’m glad I found the real God and the real Jesus and I’m pouring my focus an attention where it should be and not on false prophets or idols.
Listening to her voice makes me nauseous. The things these crazy people say are so asinine that it’s nearly impossible to imagine that anyone could ever be caught up in this. It’s scary to think there are people this gullible. To think that people have dedicated their lives to the delusions of a crazy person who made up a religion a couple hundred years ago is really sad.

Well done Lauren . We have all been following this story for years and have got to know the characters as the story unfolded . Just the other day I was trying to tell a friend and trying to summarise . I realised just how hard it was to make sense of it all to someone who had only just heard of the trial because of the many names , connections, relationships and timelines. That was so clearly laid out and to be honest clarified a few things I had missed .

How could two people in the one family be so warped as Lori & Alex & then to meet Chad & others with such evil intentions. The 2 Melanie’s are as guilty as C&L. Excellent recap of this case thus far!! I have been following since seeing a news post of missing children in Jan2020. I felt the pain of a grandparents missing their grandbabies. Such an amazing summary of what started the Vallow Daybell murders. I hope the prosecution can string together such a concise and comprehensive closing argument! Chad & Lori worked hard to mask their dealings, but thank goodness the investigators were able to uncover pieces of their murderous plot which will hopefully convince a jury to find Lori and Chad guilty of these senseless murders.

I appreciate your continual effort in supplying those of us who can't get enough of this story for one reason or another. It is triggering but also cathartic as a former member of what I now consider to be cults. It is embarrassing now to admit that I believed it when someone said "God wants you to do this", like I needed a mediator. You have been very gentle and non-condescending and that helps I'm sure not only my process but others as well.

I told her I needed to know what was going on in the world… And she said to me, and I quote: “Well can’t you just look out the window”??? When she was about 25. I responded to a funny kids story ad request in the newspaper in the city I was living in and they printed it!!! SOOOO FUNNY!!!!
I think the comment is a reference to Lori's sister Stacey Cox (the mother of Melani, Lori's niece), who died while Alex was present but the rest of the family was in Hawaii.

I grew up with a family in my neighborhood that was LDS.The boys were my playmates but as they got older they started to try & hurt me anyway they could think of then I was pursued by one of them as a girlfriend in secret which never panned out.Their sister never came outside to play in My 16 yrs there.I look back &:realize how strange they were & how badly their lives turned out.Lets just say it was bad for all of them!
Guys maybe you can help me out - why was Tylee killed weeks before JJ? Is it possible that Tylee figured out what was happening? Next issue I’m having why was JJ killed the weekend Melanie G and David W were there? To show proof of life possibly but that’s very bold to take a chance in killing him then - unless maybe Melanie G n David W knew 🧐 AND didn’t Chad take Melanie G and David W right by his house (where JJ was just buried) the next day to look at a piece of property? Me thinks there are many others that should be implicated in this - especially the two Mel’s - would love to hear if anyone else thinks there more to this - thank you
I think some were given immunity in exchange for testifying, to me it's horrific because they are involved in a conspiracy to cover up murdering children (and several adults). I can't help but keep going back to Charles recognizing that his children were in danger and his concern about Lori's cult beliefs. Charles pleaded with AZ police for help, before things really went off the deep end into a pit of mayhem and hell.

She wasn't going along with Lori's plan, plus she was 17, about to leave home with her $2000+ monthly social security survivors benefits from her father Joseph Ryan dying. Lori couldn't let that happen since Kay got Charles life insurance money, and Joe Ryan left $60000 for Lori but she blew through it and she disclosed that to Colby. I mean how else was Lori supposed to make an income🤣 and she would never give JJ back to Kay, what so Kay could collect the monthly social security survivors benefits that were left to JJ from his dad Charles, no way🤣

Man I found my dad dead in bed while caring for my mother and staying with them, he was 65 and way unhealthy but it was still a surprise and I could not even imagine saying he is clearly dead, even though he was, I wanted the paramedics and firemen to get in there as fast as possible because of course I didn't want to just say he was clearly dead or except that even though he was cold

I'm angry that there is no public trial for her to profess her innocence and to be sorted out publicly. Alex didn't just attempt to shoot Brandon for no reason. Melani was involved. @@nadagabri5783 According to reporting, while Audrey did not relate that story to the grand jury, she did tell it to FBI interviewers; and Lori’s defense team succeeded in having that interview (and testimony about that interview) excluded from trial... something to do with late discovery produced by the prosecution team.
You know what comes to mind for me was the conversation Charles had with police saying Lori told Charles she could kill him with her powers. I believe Audrey. I don’t understand why she went ahead and spent the night in Lori’s townhouse. Lori couldn’t convince any other women to follow. Maybe Lori was getting frustrated that no one other than the niece, Alex & Zumela were on board. Of course once they moved to Hawaii all this kinda stopped. Sounds like they didn’t have a plan B. Zumela was lucky that Alex didn’t kill her. I still wonder if that was the plan & Alex just couldn’t kill anymore.

@@nadagabri5783 Reporting on a motion _in limine,_ that was argued before the court (some time in February, I think). The interview was neither admitted into evidence, nor referred to. However, Archibald’s insistent questioning of Audrey’s relationship with Lori, *specifically in October 2019,* elicited the testimony that Audrey was “scared” when she ended the relationship with Lori. Apparently, that opened the door for prosecution - during re-direct - to ask Audrey why she was scared, and for her to reveal that incident (without reference to any FBI interview).
Chad gave Alex a “blessing“ and said something like “ you'll know when to rid the earthly body” he then died the day before Tammy would be exhumed. 2 other people ostensibly died if the same “clots” does anyone else think he killed himself based on what Chad and Lori told him to do?
Learning about Lori's life and choices has made me understand the really messed-up part of myself that has always been looking for a man to make me feel loved and valued. So many times I've chosen to be with a man who after the wedding it was like my eyes were opened to who this person was and it wasn't someone who I had anything in common with or any respect for. I think Lori went after Chad because he made her feel valuable obviously when he told her she was a goddess and she was going to rule the new world with him. It was obviously not a physical attraction to him or friendship turned to love for what a great person he was.
First came Joseph Smith, then came Brigham Young, then came Mitt Romney, and finally Lori Vallow and Chad Daybell. For most of us non-mormons, these are whom I think of when I think of the Mormon Church. I'm not impressed.

As Chad's sister in law and others have noted, Chad started making more money after he copied Julie Rowe's success with the near death experiences and revelations from beyond the veil. His increasing popularity also led to his flirtations and possibly dalliances with women followers outside his marriage. It is easy to see how this led him down the path to evil, particularly when the power and money were offered to him by Lori. There have been many false prophets who followed the same paths.
