Respectfully: NEITHER!! Why would anyone buy a Tundra right now? Toyota has shat the bed. They got greedy. They made bad decisions while pumping out low quality, poor product. Screw Toyota. And that’s coming from a guy that’s had multiple Toyotas for decades, and loved them. Toyota lost me, a loyal customer.

I had a '24, and it had multiple issues. Bad rear diff, tailgate gaps, door rattles, wind and window noise, transmission problems. The only reason the 24's weren't originally included in the engine recall is because Toyota had to sell them. They don't care about their customers. These trucks are NOT dialed in, far from it. Go buy a Titan.

I’m saddened about Toyota. I’ve owned Toyotas since 2008 and with the quality control, the price gouging and lack of V8 engines I’ve left them. I’m a proud owner of 2024 GMC Sierra AT4 with the 3.0 Duramax diesel. The mileage and torque is amazing for my needs.

Actual 24 limited tundra owner. the dealership tells me that the seats come lowered from factory to ‘avoid’ cracking. So I’m driving leaning on one side which is super annoying!

Still having issues....valves are bad, small exhaust port seals going and obliterating turbo fragments into engine, transmissions getting replaced I've heard. This is a nightmare for Toyota and prospective buyers like me.

The new tundras are junk i don't think anyone should consider one with the engine failures. We now are seeing it happening to 24s. Toyota hasnt included the 24s yet in the recall cause they want to get rid of the 24 inventory. Its a scam and should be offering a buy back for customers this happens to

The whole industry is wild rn and I'm not pretending to be an auto industry historian BUT...I can't see the current Tundra problems as anything other than the most dramatic failure in the history of the industry. Dramatic in every way, both the immediacy with which it went to shit as well as the seriousness of the problems. It's not unique to find a once-reliable model fall from grace. But to go from THE model that everyone- even haters!- admit was legitimately good for 20+ years and/or 400k miles consistently to a truck that will probably experience catastrophic engine failure and boasts a seat held together by customer-applied zip ties...it's almost unbelievable.

Good show on the tires. This is very common for all manufactures to use a tire with a name people recognize but have much less tread life and other small changes that make them cheaper. The buyer thinks they have something but don’t recognize the model number is slightly different. Even tire shop staff don’t usually understand that.

As a FYI XP is not a real Toyota package and or trim level. It’s a distributor package with port installed items. Unfortunately Toyota has several different distributors in the US that make up “packages” where they add on non factory crap to make extra money. None of the pricing guidelines I.e. NADA, black book etc list the distributors “packages/trims” because they are not real. Even the vin lookup from corporate (not distributor) will even know about them. I believe the XP package is from SET (South East Toyota) and TSS package is from GST (Gulf State Toyota)

Does the 24sequoia have the same engine as 24 tundra? My neighbors 24 Sequioa with 5k miles threw a rod and made a window in the crankcase going down hill with a small trailer light load.

Totally agree, I leased a '24 ltd off-road yesterday in Canada. No $10k off in Canada we don't have the excessive amounts of Tundras or tacos here. Toyota flooded the US market with both models. I got $3500 off and 1.39%. Most dealers won't take more than $500 off the 24s. I kept my '24 4Runner, I'm betting the engine issues are fixed. Build date is Sept 2024 so it probably had a 25 a few trucks behind it.

Here’s my opinion. Don’t buy a vehicle that has had problems for years. Buy a vehicle (and engine) that has been bulletproof for years. Also, stay away from Toyota for a few years. Their new stuff seems to be riddled with problems.

Here is my issue, the turbos. With a twin turbo how much does that cost to repair at 125Kmile? $5 or $6k+ or more? Then at what point does that extra compression trash the engine - especially if you tow? would that be $150k? Not sure, but at a reduced $45k or so priced truck that won't make 125k miles before major engine work is a tough thing to swallow. It's not just Toyota with this issue, GM/Ram/Ford. Maybe it's me, but I've worked hard for my money and these trucks with turbos just seem to be another issue that'll hit my wallet in 3 -4 yrs. I've seen Ram 2500's with a 6.4L Hemi from $48k - $60k in SW Fl (4x4) and if I was in the market I might look there first. BTW, the RAM 1500 trucks are Car and Driver trucks of the year for 2024 and 2025. Knowing Toyota will never turn the clock back to V8's, does anyone else have an issue with turbos?

If I post a ford video all the haters come out, a toyota vid all the haters, a chevy, jeep, ram, Nissan etc. Yet every single one made today is a crap shoot of reliability and will most likely require serious money to go high miles. I would buy any truck made today except toyota. And the toyota is because of the company not so much the trucks.

IMHO you don't have clue as to what your talking about. The problems have not been resolved yet. As sure as cold poo in a dead dog, the 2024 Tundra's will joint the list of safety recalls for engines. The only reason they have not recalled the 2024 model Tundra yet is because they would have no full size pickup's to sell IMHO. Active engine safety recall means the trucks can't be sold until fixed. I'm going to predict that my view on this subject will be correct! A fool and his money will soon part!

C’mon now. Jason, this video seems like a little help to push the product for the dealership. Also….$50+K to gamble? How did they fix it? They didn’t. They are replacing the entire engine. That means they don’t even know what went wrong. Same thing can happen to the replaced engine because they don’t know whats wrong with the bloody thing!!! Omg. Toyota screwed up by changing their focus from reliability to money grab and mediocre product. 0:06 Toyota these days is no more reliable than any other brand out there. Actually, probably worse. All is left is just an empty Toyota name. And I am not willing to pay $50+K for empty name. I’ll hang on to my 20yr old 5.9L cummins that I got for $34K otd at that time. Runs like new. And Toyota is wants almost 60K for that tundra crap. Unbelievable! Toyota got rid of everything that was good!…i just don’t get it.

In my opinion 2022 Toyota tundra and up are piece of shit or junk and over price. Don’t freaking waste your money folks. Where is the standard tow hook? Stupid Toyota engineers. I love my 2014 TRD of Road V8.
