I’m a 69 year old woman who walks every day and goes to the gym twice a week. I like the feeling of firmer arms and legs. The weight has been off for 5 years and it was time to change the shape of the body I now have. I enjoy working out and it supports my bone density which is a big focus for me. Doing any movement you enjoy will make a difference.

I walk and lift dumbbells at home. I stopped doing HIIT. Strength training has really helped me a lot and I’d advise you all to explore it .

I KNEW this video wasn't about going to a gym. lol... Dillon, you never disappoint with these plantrants - they're always epic! You know what exercise I love besides walking?? Richard Simmons Sweatin' to the Oldies. I love it because the dance moves are easy, I like the music and I find it FUN therefore I will do it consistently. Bonus: the workouts are free on RU-vid. :D

Ahhh!! We used to Sweat to the Oldies in gym class whenever it rained outside. This was early 2000s. I doubt the VHS made it with all the digital upgrades. Thanks for the info!

I am vegan. Eating vegan will lead to a better life for both physical and mental health. Walking and exercising to get the energy out of nature is a good medicine. Walk and exercise in the morning with a cheerful heart. Liveliness will come immediately. Eat and sleep according to our biological clocks. If we can do this, our lives will be balanced, strong and happy. I'm glad I found your channel. Maybe there will be more frequent comments from me in the future. You'll be happy.

My #3 favs - Krav Mega (self defense fighting classes) and areal fitness (eg silks and Lyra...usually taught at pole fitness places, but don't let that shy you away). Both of these feel more like play than work to me. Find your active play, not just for weight but also for happiness.

For a person who was a runner now walker.,for over 40 years. To give some support if you don!t have someone there to give it to you Take that Calendar in your kitchen or office and write down what you did in big red letters. Every time you see these it will motivate you to keep moving. Also if it is cold,you can bundle up,, If it is raining get some rain gear on,and get out the door.Remember water will not hurt you. Hope these tips helps along with WYW advice helps. Happy Healthy Holidays.

I had a bone density test come back positive for osteopenia so I’m lifting weights 3 xs a week as it can help prevent further damage. That helps me enjoy it much more as I am getting older and want to keep my mobility in tact as much as possible. Also I am getting between 7500-10000 steps per day.

Besides walking, I love riding a bike. I take easy rides on a super-comfy Cannondale Adventure bike. It's fun! I grin like an idiot when I ride 😂 Also, I can confirm that eating right trumps exercise. When I was losing a bunch of weight I twisted my ankle and couldn't walk for two weeks and I still lost the same amount of weight! Thanks for the great video!

Congratulations on your good experience. I would like to confirm with another person. In my experience, eating has more to do with success than exercise. But we cannot miss exercise either because we need strength. It's best to do it together. Do you still enjoy cycling now? I haven't ridden for many years. I like touring bikes. The latter focuses on exercising at home, including brisk walking, yoga, and weight training. Gardening can be both exercise and refreshing. I'd like to hear more about your success experiences.

Great video Dillon! I needed the encouragement. You are so right when I was walking and getting my rest I was feeling so much better. I'm eating plant based but I have been working more hours and not getting enough sleep. I'm on it back to walking.! ☺️ Thank you

Thanks dillon, I've just been thinking how I don't really enjoy going to the gym much anymore but force myself, used to be able to jog daily but now my joints can't take it, what you said about walking and mixing it with just a little jogging sounds good, there is so much pressure to be super athletic even as you get old! So unrealistic for most of us, you are so good at being practical.

Great advice, as always. I just picked up a rebounder on a Black Friday sale, which will be great for getting indoor exercise this winter. So far, I think I've burned about 1000 calories just putting it together! I'll keep you posted. Cheers!

Congrats! I’ve had my 48” Leaps And Rebounds for a couple years and saw many improvements within the first month. Rebounders are amazing! I didn’t realize cellulite was a slow lymphatic issue! Mine has drastically improved and I have exercised my whole life!

Mine is the Leaps and Rebounds 48” and is great quality in my opinion. I don’t feel any negative effects in my old injuries. It has such a nice bounce back and seems effortless! Mine was only $225 from Amazon. I love it and so glad I got the wider one so I can do more exercises on it. 🤗 glad there are many good brands out there now. 👏
