You did the ikillys some justice, so I'll be ordering one. Your build with trail and error has given me some solid insight when I build mine. Thanks a million!!!!
The olimat pipe is one of the most known unknown pipes on the market. The sound and performance that this pipe puts out is amazing and every pipe that I purchase from here on out will be olimat!
Elite Rc Great looking build Elite! I completely agree with you on the kit opinion..... I think they should all come with the option of a kit. I built my HPI Baja 5b SS from kit form.... it was one of my most enjoyable builds to date. Not to mention I think this is the best way for a guy to understand his car! Great work, keep it up!
Levi Hogge the project has not let me down at all I am very pleased with the outcome. When I gear it and put in my ufc spring with the fs clutch watch out its going to be a speeding bullet with somebody name on it thanks for the comment!
BERRY RC the paint job came out like I have never seen before truly different from the rest, the car is a beast and I haven't even driven it hard yet. When this is fully broken in and geared correctly it's going to be down right scandalous!
I love these buggys, they're so precise in term of the build quality, i've spend over than $3000 CAD when i was a kid back in the 90's. Now my money is spend on other priorities... One day i'll buy myself one hell of a RC, i can tell you that ! Racing between friends is so fun !!
Frank Beaulieu yeah I enjoy every moment of the gas hobby whether I'm wrenching or running it doesn't matter. It is a very expensive hobby but I truly am happy with it so you can not put a price on it that will make me stop maybe slow it up but never quit, thanks for the comment!
Great video brother 🏎💨💨💨 I got the 23/54 and fs / UFC 9300 combo and its perfect brother got the clutch and spring idea from you it's working out very well 👊👊
Tonys Rc Tech yeah from time to time it can get a little out of hand but that's only when the park area behind my house isn't cut then I have to take it to the streets, thanks for the comment!
RCshowtime at first when I pulled the white film off of the body I couldn't see the potential in it until I took the yellow wheels off and it's growing on me. Once I gear it right I can tune it properly because I'm hitting max speed at 30% of the throttle and that not good, thanks for the comment!
RCRIYADH The whole experience with this car has been great every second of the build and installs were a good learning experience for this platform but this one is not fully complete as of yet!
Elite Rc What’s up Elite? Hope all is well! Haven’t heard much out of ya lately. Hope you guys have a good 🦃 day. By the way, I ordered my winter build from DDM this morning... a 5ive b kit! Super excited!
Thanks for the comment I will be running this every weekend until I get it all the way down pact. I don't like driving cars on the street because there are too many variables in it but I had to this time!
Bro I love your 5b so much I ordered the Rovan SLT 360 V5 with the 36cc engine. It's the 5b clone. Man I cant wait until it gets here so I can break it down and rebuild it. Of I will make an unboxing video when it gets here.
Yeah its a absolute beast and I have not even ran it hard yet but im going to run taller gears on the next run because that 20/58 set up didnt let me see its full potential!
Looks like the throttle linkage adjuster(servo saver) needed to be set looser on that obr linkage. I always start with it loose and then tighten it up while tuning. They are known to snap or bend on HD servos. She sounds a little to lean on the high speed needle. That popping and it sounding like its underwater is a giveaway. Took me a awhile to get mine dialed in just right. On the low speed needle I generally bump the idle screw up then richen the low speed until the idle dies down to a nice speed, Then irun it and as long as it doesn't bog down rolling on the throttle I will leave it. If it does I lean it 1/8th of a turn or a "pinch: then it will be set perfect. The 5b's are a little tricky to tune but once they are they stay in tune great.
jfleming747 what makes this a harder one to tune is this modified 990 has been modified right with the engine so there is a extra fuel dump going on with the carb that makes it little more difficult than that. I know what you are talking about with the 1/8th of a turn a pinch I seen the obr break in and tune video also. It was odd to me too with the linkage snapping like that but it happened right in front of my eyes when I hit the brake so it would stop rolling and I had that spring without a lot of tension so it would not mess with the throttle when releasing the brake. The build came out great and if the linkage snapping is my only problem that means I'm doing good. I'll get it tuned in time I work a lot of hours and time is not on my side so it will be weeks but I'm right on schedule for my next build, thanks for the comment!
With 1/5th scale gassers things will always break or need maintenance. I know it sound strange but for me that's what keeps me interested in them. I used to run alot of electric's,but that just got old. I love the mechanical aspects of gassers and nitro's,not to mention the noise and smell of fuel burning 😆. I use Amsoil Dominator 2 stroke oil,but I like to mix a little Klotz benol castor in it for that racey sweet Klotz scent. Hell I even have a Klotz candle in the house I burn every now and then that smells just like it lol.. Take care fellow Braaaper
jfleming747 when I was into electrics I got bored with the rc car hobby quick and didn't spend nearly as much time as a do now with the hobby. Fuel cars are for the real long term people who have patience and good at solving problems when they arise!
Great 👍 video and so true about building from scratch! I love kits to build from scratch and if I get an RTR I will strip it down to chassis and start from scratch and add what I need to add. She going to perform well just need to spend some time to get the tune down . At the end before the linkage broke I would have fatten the low a bit but you know best because your there and I’m not . Did you adjust the end points on your remote? I can’t believe the linkage snapped like that!! If the end points were good ? They must have bent that linkage one to many times ?? Keep up the great 👍 work !!
BOTAJELL yeah it was weird my end points have been set and when I hit the brake to stop it from rolling it just snapped but like I said if that's the only problem I had I can deal with u a 15 dollar cable funny part about this car is it is brutal on all parts but that is what it was built for. I have a few changes to make before my next run whenever that will be. Other than that the build came out great and I made sure temp issues will not be my problem!
Hows that radio been workn for you? I was lookn into that 1 before I got my DX5 pro. I was running with the DX4S prior. I stuck with spektrum cause I have so many of their receivers that I just couldn't be bothered with switchn them all out I guess. I do have a flysky gt3b I believe its called. Other than a battery hog it's not a bad radio. Definitely need to use with rechargeable batteries or mod to a lipo.
I have a modified gt3 b and it lasts for a long time just don't forget to cut it off or you will be replacing a lipo, but Im still using the flysky noble and it is serving me well!
Ryan You only have issues when you don't prepare for the issues, every move I make when it comes to spending money on rc cars is well calculated. If you buy a signature series engine I would get the 32cc because it is higher revving, the only reason I put this 34cc in is because I already had it used to be in my baja and I sent it in to obr for a signature series upgrade. In this hobby it is not too many things that is not worth it when it comes to custom work and exclusive items. Point blank if you don't support great products they won't be around long because the supply has to have demand if there is no demand for the product no one is making money which means no more great products because they had no support behind them. I am seeing way too many good products getting discontinued because they have no real support such as the 5ive b kit behind them. Don't mind me just going on a rant!
Well the reason i wanted the biggest motor that way later on i wont worry about saying i should have gotten a bigger motor the first time. Another question is the signature 34cc a big difference than the normal 34cc casereed? I totally understand ur view on supporting small biz and keeping them in business even tho its a little more expensive esp the ones in ur own town.
Hayden ice RC try just a tip here adjusting your end point adjustment for your throttle that could be why the throttle linkage snapped on you is it's pulling it a little too hard make sure to adjust that and it's adjusted correctly I had to happen to me on mine only reason why I'm saying
@@5thScale man thanks for the video also I just wanted to say that also I've been thinking about getting the buggy version is a 34 CC the best bet are you thinking at 45cc would be better also what do you think of the kit are the 5t a arms same length as the 5b ones thanks for the help
@@alexperea20 this engine is a 34cc obr signature series Reed case and that 45cc would have problems on its hands if it tried to step up in competition. The a arms on the 5ive b are shorter than the 5ive t because it is a buggy and not a truck. This video was right after I broke in my engine and you might want to watch my latest video so here is the link. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-X7k-H5zILJc.html
Hello sir , I would like to know if you would consider installing a kill switch in my sons losi fiveb.. and any other must haves for for it. I would be happy to pay you and for everything else involved. He is a disabled child and unable to do alot of things... as for me I'm clueless about this thing . He wanted me to ask so I said I would... Looking forward to your reply... thank you
I'm so sorry for replying to this comment so late I have been going over my videos and noticed that I haven't seen some of my comments coming from subscribers, I'm pretty sure you have had it done by now sorry for not seeing the comment and responding so late
No air filter on a reed case will fit under this body without cutting a hole in it, only a piston port engine and air filter combo will work will no body modifications!
@@5thScale Have you seen the turtle racing air box? I'm wondering if maybe it would work. I'm looking at this same setup and am trying to avoid cutting a hole in body if possible. Thanks.
@@mattashburn1877 I ordered five different types of air filters and that was one of them which is downstairs with the rest of the madness and you will definitely have to cut the body to make that work that's designed for the Losi 5t
