I glad you've had good luck with the stock electronics, but on mine they didn't last. The servo broke within the 1st 30 mins of running it. The spektrum esc no matter where you set the low voltage cut off, it didn't work, it puffed 4-5 batteries. The receiver lasted a little longer but not by much. I contacted horizon hobby and they blamed me saying I was running it more than 10 mins at a time, I wasn't using spektrum batteries, it wasn't designed to run hard or have fun with. Fuck'um. I now have a lot of aftermarket parts ( aluminum when available ), The max 5 I got is starting to go out so I bought a xlx2, it'll be here monday. We'll see how long it last. But heating issues won't be a problem, I have a delta server fan, turns 11,500 rpms, 12v 4.5 amps and about 4 inches. Very loud and windy.

I had the max 5 esc and it did good for awhile, but it started to cut out on full throttle before anything got hot. I have the xlx2 on order, it'll be here monday. It'll be paired with a leopard 58113 870kv motor. I hit 59 mph with the max 5 and leopard motor, 18t/46t gears. If the xlx2 is as good and powerful as they say, then I should have no problem going over 60+ mph with my setup. Last I weighed it, it was 37 lbs but things have been added plus a 3rd battery for the fan, so it might be 40 lbs or better.
It should do good bro just keep a temp gun with you to check the temperatures before and during and after the run. The max 5 is a good setup but the xlx2 with the 1100kv is a monster as well enjoy it and keep arms and make sure to red lock tight the axle grub screws
@@MrJoseph5120 Yea, I learned that lesson. Not only did I red lock tight the screws, I also wrapped some gorilla tape around it. I have the xlx2 installed and calibrated but, unfortunately I won't be able to run it till Friday. Work sucks lol.
If u lose control 34 lbs going at 60 mph u can seriously hurt someone my friend broke a ankle his losi lost control and hit him self at 40 mph broke his ankle in 2 places but people don’t think about the implications these cars have till they hurt someone or them selves imagine you hit a kid at does speeds it would be sad real sad I take mine out real open spaces where it was meant to be run
