Defendant 45 is not a fan of the 6th Amendment. He should read his $60 Bible. The Sixth Amendment guarantees the rights of criminal defendants, including the right to a public trial without unnecessary delay, the right to a lawyer, the right to an impartial jury, and the right to know who your accusers are and the nature of the charges and evidence against you.

They can waive their right to a speedy trial. Many guilty defendants take on this strategy. Some use the delayed time to search for alternate defense strategies, and some just do it to waste court time and resources. One example that I know of where it helped the defendant was the case of State of NV vs. Roger Hillygus. It's pretty recent and you can follow the entire case history with recorded court proceedings. Search for channel called 'Our Nevada Judges' and with 'Roger Hillygus'.

2028? Not likely. He'll still be serving his multiple prison sentences, as they might be consecutive given the nature and different states of his convictions. Unless it was updated, last I know Dirty Don is facing 91 criminal charges. Many of them (if convicted) will likely run concurrent, but I imagine some will ultimately be consecutive. We won't know until ALL these criminal trials run their courses. Any math you do, even with the minimum sentences imposed, time wise it still doesn't look good for 77 year old Donnie.
