Losing my libido/I can't keep it up/Libidolog 1?! (ha, maybe?!) 

I went from being the biggest horndog around to now being mid 20s and not being able to feel any arousal It really is fucking up my dating life because I dont even find the motivation to approach knowing my tool probably wont respond. Its so frustrating and not something I can talk about with anyone

unfortunately it is one of those self perpetuating loops like anxiety. the more you worry about it the worse it gets. I've known myself to cause a panic attack through worrying about having a panic attack

the anti-depressive drugs do that to me so I just stopped taking them altogether. it's a very big deal losing your sexual appetite so i can relate completely.

I'm just finding this now and experiencing this to similarly extent. Last time I actually got help and was prescribed an anti-psychotic medication ssri I became impotent. When I came off it I was never really the same. I felt like I had been chemically castrated. The fears the anxiety are all real. I can perform but it's very lackluster to my partner and extremely frustrating to her. All this cycles into a circle where I feel as every sexual encounter could possibly be my last one with my partner and the pressure to please them is so high. Comments like why can't you please me like you did before. I'm going through a lot of stress and depression and throw everything into the mix my performance is aweful. It makes me wanna not live. I understand what I am able to. I feel for you I hope it got better.

I've only just started taking medication and was not aware of the side effects. similar situation where I was in bed with an old flame for old time sake and not only could I not get it up but ejaculation was impossible. The sensations were intense and we still enjoyed ourselves. But I was so confused at the time wondering why the hell the mega volcano from within didn't erupt! After some online reading and listening to you video it makes sense. I'm going to continue looking at what I can do. I'm in New Zealand so not sure if we have options but I sure hope so.

Certainly talking about personal sexual issues can be embarrassing. I can ever see that the experience itself can be uncomfortable. It's just too bad you didn't have a partner that minimized the discomfort. One can be intimate and sexual without intercourse.

yeah, it is very hard to talk about and many people deal with this in silence. i admire your bravery to come on and throw it in the open. it DOES exist. However, on a lighter ote, there are things you can do about it so it is not all lost thankfully. Antipsychotics do not help of course but you will get around it. nice to see you are feelig better about some other things. hugs

Can you take Viagra, or would that interfere with your medication? A lot of young men take viagra for different reasons.

I'm a girl so obviously we don't have the exact same issues, but I've been on various different medications since I was 15 (I'm now 18) and have never experienced any kind of sexual attraction or sexual urges, ever. I have no libido. I've never had sex or done much more than kissing. I'm not sure if this is down to the medication or if I'm asexual or if there's something wrong with me, but I'm too scared to go to the doctor about it (she says, posting it on the internet for everyone to see...)

as you said, it can be bloody hard Jonny, or not... I know it can mean a few more pills but do ask your doctor, they can help as long as you don't rely on them to much, the little blue pill I mean, they help, and you can get back on track and then you are like a steam train at full speed.. it happens to most men at any time for many reasons, a good doctor will always help and get you back on top... your still looking better each day, be strong and take care Jonny.

one problem i find is the more you panic about impotence the worse it get's and sometimes it is better to speak about it and if you have a partner it to try and tackle it together. also there are sex therapists that can help.

I am sure most people (regarding themselves or a partner) would think that it is more desirable to be emotionally/psychiatrically stable and dealing with this, then it is to be a unstable with a good libido. remember your priorities and talk to a doc. It will definitely work out... unless the frustration leads you to stop taking meds.

You shouldn't be embarrassed or feel ashamed. This happens to loads of men for all different reasons. Least you know why. But yeah a lot of it is the meds with you and then confidence. But that said there are men out there where sex (well the parts that involve erections) isn't the be all and end all. Just think that people who can't feel anything from the waist down have sex. It may be different but they do So happy you're talking about it though. Yes, get some help and see what happens. But relationships shouldn't be based on intercourse alone :-) I try really "hard" not to use the word "hard". +Jonny Benjamin 1 Listen up..because here is some real world advice on how to deal with this issue. First of all..you don't need to have sex to be in a loving, committed relationship. While it may be nice..it isn't necessary. There are many couples..especially older couples..who are in basically sexless marriages..and they still love each other deeply and are doing just fine. Second..if your partner makes you feel bad or embarrassed about this issue..then you are with the wrong person..it's as simple as that. You don't need to feel embarrassed. While this issue may make you feel that way..do not allow this issue to define you as a person or human being. You are much more than a sexual person. And sex is just a small part of life..most of life is filled with other things that can make you feel just as good and valid as when you were able to have sex. And always remember that real love has nothing to do with sex. Which is why many couples stay together long after their need for sex has diminished to nothing. You are a precious and valid human being. Find someone who understands this and will love you even without sex. And stay away from those who are so shallow they think sex is necessary and important to a relationship..because it isn't. Good luck my friend.
