Hi! I'm finally mostly recovered from covid, so expect videos and livestreams coming pretty often! Also please take good care of yourselves and try to stay healthy. Catching covid sucked very hard for me, especially with it's timing right after the Lost Ark launch.. Still i'm greatful that I was able to quickly recover from it, and now i can finally be back making content.

@ 3:58 In order to deal damage to levanos, you need weak point/destruction skills, not stagger damage. That's misinformation there. You need to break a stagger check in order for him to not regain the armor and having to destroy it again, but in order to start dealing damage it's needed weak point skills.

Tip : If you are playing with Gunslinger, use Peacekeeper as your main counter skill. Even though the skill (Peacekeeper) is not listed as counterable skill, the very first hit of the combo is treated as a "counter." The other counterable shotgun skill isn't all that good due to very long pre-cast delay. There are some skills in the game that are not listed as "counter" in tooltip yet still usable as counter skills. These skills usually are combo skills with a specific part of the combination working as counter. Skill description usually tells you which part of the skill can be used as a counter.

Wow, thank you! I had no idea, but you are right. I had that in the back of my mind that peacekeeper would be a much easier counter to land, but always ignored the long text in the tooltip so I was convinced that it can't counter. Seems like I still have a lot to learn myself.

Great video, not nearly enough people use bombs. Small correction, you need weak point (destruction bombs) to break the armor of levanos. You do need stagger to prevent him from rebuilding it though (when he pauses and kneels down).

If the boss have push imunities, what kind of dmg we should use?

@@goshu7009 Most bosses are push immune, so you should just focus on dealing overall damage. If you're ever curious about a specific raid boss or guardian, maxroll.gg should have info on all their mechanics in detail.

Just a stagger check is sometimes hidden, I wonder if it’s same for weak point check. I sometimes see my skill give out a destruction msg but I never see the weak point reticle

Very nice video, im asking myself tho, because you did the example with weakpoint with the 8 man abysal, does every skill give weakpoint? Because im pretty sure ppl dont know that you need that for the 2 ladys, but we always cleared them anyways even without weakpoint skills, does that mean every skill gives a tiny bit of weakpoint? I hope the question was understandable ^^

Most likely it's because people will just spam most of their abilities, hoping it will work, and in the case of that abyssal dungeon their shiled is not hard to break at all. I'm pretty sure only skills with at least Weak Point lvl 1 deal any weak point damage, even with the use of Corrosive Bombs.

How do you know when to start using the stagger damage skills? What are the indicators?

When a stagger check is happening that will wipe the party or deal damage to you if you fail it, a progress bar will appear 90% of the time under the boss, like the one at 4:21 in the video. Other than that, like in the case of Helgaia or some other guardians, whenever the boss stops attacking and start charging up something, there's a good chance you can stagger them during that to prevent them from doing a certain mechanic. If you're ever confused about mechanics like that, you can always look at a lost-ark.maxroll.gg guide.

As a paladin I'm still not sure about my counter skill or maybe skills. Can the executor's sword skill counter or not ? It doesn't have counter: yes in orange, like other skills in game but it has a yellow counterattack in it's text.

Holy sword and Executioner's sword both should be able to be used for countering, but I haven't tried them just yet.

Stagger have some kind of relation about the damage or number of hits that the skill does? Or the priority is always the skill with the highest stagger level in the description and doesnt even matter the damage and hits? Example berseker sword storm vs hell blade , both tagged as high but hellblade takes twice time but also hits 10 more times. Which is better?

I'm 99% sure that damage doesn't matter, only the stagger level of the skill. As for for skills with more hits i'm not sure, I'd need to test it so all I can say is try to mess around with it and see what order and combination of your skills deals the most stagger in a certain amount of time.

Good explanation, but especially with not being a MMO type person i simply sit there and get farmed/cc'ed endlessly in PVE and PVP. I am still going back to this game at least periodically, but endless island to island quests, menu upon menu upon currency and mats upon mats. gets kind of boring really fast. could just not be for me, but at least it looks nice. Yet i should have known from the begging when putting a mount on my bar was like a 8 part thing of getting, clicking, going into menu, drag dropping on bar etc.

The game as a whole is definitely not for everyone, thanks to the things you mentioned. It can get really overwhelming especially in your first few weeks of playing, but as more of the mist and confusion clears up, most of the mechanics become pretty simple to understand, but they do take some time and getting used to. The nice thing is, that there's a lot of different ejnoyments you can find in the game, it doesn't have to be clearing the hardest raids day 1 or whatever. I'm glad you're still giving it a shot.

You don't need to be in front of your enemy to counter, you only need to hit the head. You can counter from the side as much as you are in front.

Main question I have is on the effectiveness of low-mid-high stagger abilities against their peers. Is it 1-2-3, double every upgrade 1-2-4 or something else?

I don't know exactly, but to my experience higher stagger levels seem to deal significantly more stagger damage. Same goes for weakpoint.

Indeed it does. Think of it more as an attackspeed buff, rather than casting speed. The translation makes it a bit confusing, but if you look at for example loawa.com and look for the top players builds, a lot of them use gale wind runes on skills with no casting bars.

PVP works really differently and i'm not exactly sure about it's systems. I'd recommend watching Lin-0's video guides for that.

Concerning cunter: do i need to max it or leave it level 1 is enough to expose weak point?

I'm not sure what you mean exactly, but to land a successful counter you just need to use the correct ability, level doesn't matter. In case you meant to ask about weak point damage, the skills level is irrelevant, only the level of the weak point damage type matters that each skills tooltip tells you. Chargable skills that have weak point and stagger damage on them deal the suggested weak point/stagger damage at max charge.

Yeah, pvp is entirely different. None of these mechanics apply there. If you want to learn about pvp mechanics, you should look into what super armor is and the different levels of cc. Why have i never seen the crosshair for weakpoint in 180+ hours gametime lol. Is there a setting or something?

I don't think there's a setting for it. It's a pretty rare occurence, so maybe you just didn't notice whenever it was on your screen.

If you mean the text on the MVP screen when it says "Semi-stagger" under your name, that is I believe a miss-translation. It should say: "Stagger Dealt"

@@umerahmed1039 Aah, you're confusing weak point damage with party buffs. Those skills with the correct tripods debuff enemies, but that's not the weak point damage type that the video is about.

Yeah, pvp is entirely different. It's like a different game. For pvp you need to learn about super armor, and different "levels" of cc, and the biggest factor is learning all the matchups.

I actually don't know, i've never seen blue damage numbers myself. Only text like "invincible" when I'm not high ilvl enough to deal damage to the target or when guardians move locations etc.

@@bain8686 I'm not entirely sure, but I think it might be to state total damage. Gunlancer's aoe lighting ability has a talent that adds a secondary hit with blue damage text in the tooltip. When testing target dummies that talent's tooltip damage matched the total damage inflicted from the ability with the talent's second hit.

@@bain8686 i'm pretty sure that blue text refers to the damage over time numbers. Not sure how it exactly works, though. By looking at one skill's describtion with blue text on Gunslinger, my guess is that the blue number is the damage that keeps getting inflicted while the DOT is in effect.

I find the mechanics surrounding Stagger pretty negligible. I mean all skills have a long cooldown anyway. You take the skill that isn't on cooldown anyway. What else to do? Standing around and not doing any damage? So the boss gets my stagger skills anyway when they're ready.

It's really class dependent. If you say that, I'm guessing your class has a reasonable amount of stagger. Not all classes have that luxury, and as a result in a lot of cases they need to save their staggering skills for when a stagger check occurs. Of course you don't want to sacrifice DPS either, so you need to find a good balance.

To save some space, because the card storage is pretty limited, unless you spend blue crystals on it, and I dont want to fill my entire storage with cards. :D

it does, if u go to the training area from the guide menu. I don't remember if it teaches u about weak point in particular, and they don't tell you about battle items, but I remember finishing a stagger and counter tutorial there

ez counter tip, if you can, taunt the boss while it's blue to have it face you(and just stand there for a couple seconds) for a free counter

fun fact, if you taunt a boss, it’ll cancel the current attack it’s doing, so it’ll cancel the counterable move and you’ll miss your chance to counter

I see why you say that, but to be fair all the content leading up to T3, and to the content that's not released yet, is basically just an introduction to all these mechanics so you are already familiar with them when the more long-term and more challenging content is released. Therefore I personally don't mind them nerfing the currently available content but that's just what I think.

You might think that now, but it's a mechanic that will be included in raids such as legion raids in the future, where you have to land counters, and in some cases avoid countering, in order to not die or wipe the party.

Wtf do u mean countering is mandatory in any situations, it’s mechanics that you will have to get used to especially in legion raids. It also give room for damage while the boss is down. It is just the same as weak point.
