I think you should start a campaign for legalizing drugs, it would definitely help with overdoses; but drug education is much more critical.

I don't think hero is the right way to describe it, and maybe he would agree. At the end of the day he's trying to generate views and subs for RU-vid, and his career. Those firefighters that died trying to stop a fire from spreading, that's far more heroic. They're paid to do that as well. But if you want to find a hero look at the people volunteering time in churches & outreaches. Even the dude with the non-profit/go-fund-me, he MIGHT be heroic. Often-times those people are actually just benefiting off an industry. I live in Maryland, and my taxes are being used to give free things to people who don't work and are addicted. So I have no choice in that, but we've done that for years, and we're just getting more people on the streets addicted.
