for placing objects on the ship I hope they add option to snap them on a grid besides placing them freely. it's a big pain to place things in parallel on both sides with such a big ship. it would help a lot if there wasn't a big struggle with it, it could just snap to, like the turret on the right side where we put it earlier on the left side.
I hope they make a point system for the priorities of healing drones so that when you are hammering away at a more dangerous drone, there is a change it will be healed instead of a lesser drone that is almost destroyed. So drones are worth 1-3 points depending on how dangerous they are and then maybe there will be 1-5 points depending on how low their health is, and whatever has the highest score gets healed. It adds a sense of strategy to the drones where they may sacrifice some small fry to keep stronger ones intact.
That does seem like a great method for adjusting their drone ai, let’s hope they do eventually add a similar system, and I think what they have so far is a great starting point for them to be able to expand upon their functions
For start, I would love an automatic drone factory which just spits the drones on you in like every 20 seconds. when you beat yourself through the drones you could disable the factory temporarily or as long as you are in the perimeter of the PoI. When you leave it starts again welcoming other players. The difficulty would scale with the players' number in the perimeter. It would give the location a dungeon-like experience and replayability.
Seeing the databank assets from Worlds Adrift used in Lost Skies gives me a question: What do we think character progression will look like in LS? WA's progression involved scanning databanks and other things as the player travels from island to island. I personally hope that LS uses a system very close to WA, instead of the contemporary quest/combat-based XP systems of modern RPGs.
could we have image/videos of an inhabited village with commerce, flying boats of life, a shop, a tavern? can't wait to play it! It's look like a very good game :)
Well I can’t exactly say what they plan to add in the future, however I completely agree, im super excited to see what the devs share next, as well as play the game! 🙂
the drones feel like the sentinals in No Mans Sky, i really hope they do not use the same passive until you do anything system and are more of a triggered event or something and not a constant menace. it really kinda hurts the exploration aspect of the game when you can get attacked by hostile drones on every Island(planet)
Yea we’ll have to see how they continue to develop them, I can see you point of them becoming annoying if they aren’t properly formatted with their ai functions
I would estimate probly near the end of the year, if i remember correctly, that is all that was said, or at the very least they may have an early access build, but that is moreso my own speculation.
its hard to say since its planned to be released on steam, however I do know that it will be a self-hosting system, so there "shouldn't" be any required servers to connect to, and while I cannot say for certain, I believe this means you likely will be able to play offline. -don't quote me tho :)
@@WAdrift Ill be glad because worlds adrift was so good and when it shut down we could not even play it, i would have still enjoyed the contend it currently had for many many hours even weeks, the game play mechanic is so unique it really hooked me.
WA looked great. Why change a great artistic style to a terrible parody of realism? I don't want to collect thousands of berries to make basic things, I want to explore islands with unusual and mysterious stories. WA gave an unforgettable experience.
Well I think they are changing the art style because it’s meant to be an entirely different game with a different directive, rather than just a remake of worlds adrift, and I completely agree WA was an unforgettable experience. but I can assure you that there will be lots of island exploration to be had with intricate story, although there are berries in the game, it’s not as if that’s the gameplay, it’s just an example of some of the many different items in the game that shows off the new UI additions without revealing any special things they don’t yet want the public to know. I’m general these updates are meant to be small sneak peaks at some of their progress, while simultaneously trying to not reveal anything too special that spoils cooler stuff
