It's the same in England too. I personally thinks it's unfair that Americans have to pay so much tax on their winnings. If the jackpot is 100 mil, then that's exactly what you should get.
This is the best episode the Workaholic Millionaires. I really liked the Xuereb family James and Wanda and their 3 kids. They kept their cleaning business, and stayed in the home they already but upgraded it. Sensible people.
It sounds great. In 2020 I got laid off for 5 months & I was making the extra $400/wk gvmnt bonus on unemployment. I had more money and time than i knew what to do with and it was not good for me at all. In the beginning I made sure to go for long runs every day, worked in the yard, worked on projects at home... i ended up basically a fat alcoholic 🤦♀️ and habitual online shopper. It took yrs after getting back to work to get back to my old self. If i won the lotto first thing i'd buy is a life coach to keep my @ss in line 😅😅
It was really sad for her to act like that towards her friend because the winner she received goes to show you, about a friend and when money pops up you see their true colors. Well ladies don't be too sad because that was her choice.
Yes, she was obviously jealous, but it's better that she disappear than stay close to her in order to plot against her and potentially harm her. Many have done that, sadly.
Maybe some feline spirits too. It is refreshing to see someone win big that was really struggling. He lives simple, and basic, and seems pretty content.
Snickers looks super happy LOL Good on them with the win. Great step up from the mobil home they have a beautiful home its gorgeous. The shoe collection is to die for woowhooo
The nerve, and envy in that male co-worked who tried to sue for a share of something he didn't contribute to, and for twice as much as the individual winners even received.
The CA Lottery prides itself of donating unclaimed prizesa to the CA schools...where does this money get stuck? as the kids barely get anything new and still the tax payer is ripped off paying for the school system.. corruption runs deep..
When I win, I am choosing not to disclose it to anyone. It is a private matter and nobody else's concern. My focus is on completing my education and quietly preparing for my retirement. I think making it public is one of the worst decisions lottery winners make.
@MedMicroBioMe ~ Not sure if you're in the U.S., and I agree with your sentiment, but unfortunately, only 7 states can remain anonymous. (Delaware, Kansas, Maryland, North Dakota, Texas, Ohio and South Carolina). So when people come forward, it isn't by choice.😟
The last winner, Motel Millionaire, his cats won the lottery too! Steak and chicken every day??? The luckiest cats in the world! THEY hit the jackpot! I bet it's his parents who organised that win for him, after watching him for years, going down the drain!
