Lou Agave of Long Island Lou Tequila - G4 Madera Lot 2 vs Lot 1 Blanco... Who Wins? 

I immediately got the green apple from lot 2. It hits you like a ton of bricks. You can’t miss it. Fantastic tequila

Did this exact 1 and 2 side by side blind. Thought 1 slightly edged out 2, but definitely both are very enjoyable.

I agree really similar the second one is sweeter

Love both lots, some of my favorite tequilas. I texted with Jeff Ernst about the 2 lots and he said that lot 2 had less astringency due to a few batches of Primo in the wood fermentation tank. Great stuff.

Big hearts. Love me the Madera and anything from 1579 (glances at my last 5 bottles of pasote).

Really special, only have had lote 2 but did pick up 2 bottles locally at a total wine and spec's. Btw, it's Madera without the i, that makes it Portuguese.

Found it for $69 at Old Town. It was online for less than an hour. I think its more complex than 1

Just found a few Lot2 for $65 here in the Maryland area. Picked up 1 bottle!

Wow! It’s between $60-$70 around LA.

thanks Lou & Greg! Greg: I think you should of gone with a 89.5 on lot 2, lol. I did a side by side comparison and they are both right up my alley, haha. I like them the same and would give them a 89 on TMM.

i been looking for this tequila finally found it picke up a lot 2 and honestly I didn’t like it! This is one of the only tequilas I have not liked! There is a back end flavor profile I can’t put my finger on it but I was not a fan maybe it was the pine not sure. only other tequila I didn’t like was la gritona I’m talking high end good tequila that ppl rave about
