Thank you for sharing. Lou Gramm has such a marvellous voice, writes wonderful songs and fronted Foreigner and his own band so beautifully. I also saw his Shadow King debut in London-he was great, but the crowd sucked! He deserves to be lauded as one of the elite Rock singers. Alas, his horrible health issue from the 90’s robbed us. One of the greats.

Lou is a great songwriter and is one of the greatest singers ever. So much energy and could motivate you all the way thru. He sang deep in his heart and worked hard to make foreigner very successful. @@WintersWar IMO, the drama is one sided. There are many, many bands with worse "credits" history, including the Beatles & Stones! This was ONE song, that Lou feels screwed on. Unfortunately, it was their biggest hit! If you listen to other interviews, you will see the truth of the matter. I have no dog in the fight. Personally, I think Lou should've got at least 40%, maybe better. Just for his input and vocals. Problem is, Lou walked and didn't try to negotiate a better deal. Both him and Mick felt insulted for different reasons. This is a clear case of communication breakdown, that led to bitter feelings. I believe both of them would do it different in hindsight. Mick wrote 100% of that song. Lou wrote 0%. Lou wanted 40% of the writing credit. Mick initially offered 20%. Lou told Mick to shove it! That's the truth about that situation. And from Lou's own mouth.

@@ronedee I hate to disagree with you brother but Lou said himself in an interview I just watched he worked on that song heavily with Mick. Yes Mick Jones did more arranging, but Lou absolutely SIGNIFICANTLY contributed to the writing of that song. Lou Gramm felt 40/60 split was totally fair. That greedy egocentric Mick Jones thought Lou only deserved 5%??? Are you serious?? Just for the vocals alone he deserved 40%. They were SUPPOSED to be brothers and band mates. Mick Jones greed is typical particularly in that ridiculously excessive decade.

@@danielevans9379 Look, I love them both!! One of my favorite bands too! Lou is contradicting himself. I saw a video, and I can find it if you like, where he said he was in the studio for one day, seperately from Mick and sung it. And previously went over to Mick's one night for dinner. Mick showed him the song which was completely written! Lou offered his advice on keeping a melody line. And Mick worked "hard" with the choir for the song! Mick and Lou were close and shared songs for many years with no problem! And then THIS!! I'll look for the video and post it here, if this channel lets me. If they don't I'll disect ti and you can put it back together!

Notice how he's constantly diffusing responsibility and makes himself out to be a victim. "I never heard from them." "They never contacted me." How about you humble yourself once and make contact.

Not sure why he thinks Mick would reach out, after walking away from the band. He put everyone's livelihoods in jeopardy, by walking away from a money making machine. And Gramm should consider the silence from Mick over the years, as a blessing. If it was me, Gramm would still be getting extremely insulting voicemails every week reminding him what a short sighted idiot he was for walking away.

It's astonishing how people can throw friends away, which could be eternal, for a little earthly wealth. You're all gonna DIE and you take nothing away. People who have died tell how important it is to NEVER make ANYTHING you do about money, you know what they say about the 'love of money'. What Mick did was evil and it spawned contempt, resentment and distrust. Oh, what a fool to throw away a friend over money.
