Yes, I like the musical, but I've been a history buff way longer. And I like how in those days, men didn't screw around, they settled their differences once and for all. Andrew Jackson was in a few duels, too. Besides, from what I've read, most of the time, a person would be challenged to a duel with the intent of getting them to leave a town for good. You say, "meet me on the field." He doesn't want to risk dying, so he bolts and stays away as not to be labeled a coward.
NJGuy1973 Ah, the good ol' days when it was legal to kill each other over disagreements! Lmao, your comment is actually interesting and informative but the sentiment is pretty absurd to think about
@@Sheffdawg2305 Hence why I said in MY opinion. Interpret and understand before commenting. I love tons of comedians, and I stand by my comment. To each their own.
Im a woman and I fucking love Louis CK. His comedy helped me through some of the worst periods of my life. I suffered through terrible post partum depression after the birth of my second child and it was his crude humour about drowning kids, killing kids that helped me through it (just like Carlin's stand you on death helped me through my fathers sudden passing from cancer). Im not condoning exactly what he did, but he should not be in the same league as Weinstein. I want Louis back AND he will be back.
I think it was Louis that said, paraphrasing " The greatt thing about comedy is being able to take someone to a really dark place and make them laugh" or Gervais "Comedy is where the mind goes to tickle itself"
I've watched this whole stand up and I just finished chewed up on Netflix last night, this guy is hilarious! I couldn't stop laughing from start to finish.
@@tylery22911 year late, but in "Hilarious", Louis has a whole bit about how he doesn't like when people use the word "hilarious", so it's kind of funny to describe Louis as hilarious
The fun part of this sketch is to look out at the audience and find people who AREN'T laughing. And the funny part of this is that they all tend to LOOK like the people who may have murdered when it WASN'T legal.
War isn't a free-for-all, you can only kill people on the other side. If a solider in the US army kills another soldier in the US army, then that's murder.
qgysugfq i mean beating off on the phone to people or asking women if you can beat off to them could be considered harassment but definitely not illegal. Now if he locked the door and started running around chasing a womem while beating off then yeah that would have aome legal ramifications.
