If I can find a Spaten Lager near me, Peroni Nastro Azzurro is my choice for a European lager. So refreshing!

Didn't really get the same experience David had here. It's a bit grassy, but also very refreshing. This is a delicious beer and one of my personal favorites. I don't find it overly bitter, but I also drink IPA's so I'm used to far more bitter flavors. Definitely more oomph to it than American Adjuncts.

Not as good as German or Czech but who else is (nobody in my book) but even so i am a strong fan of this beer. Underrated and wish you could find it at more places than just Italian restaurants and the like. Picked up a meatball sandwich and slice of pizza (to go) from local pizza spot the a few days ago. In the car bringing food back to the house was thinking a Peroni would be the perfect compliment so hit nearby supermarket on the way home and was hoping to find Peroni 6 pack. They didn't have 6, 12 pack only - so almost got 4 pack of Grolsch instead but some internal debate opted for the 12 pack of Peroni bottles after all. I put this beer on par with Heineken and ahead of the highly overrated Stella, nice beer especially with the pizza + italian food and for summer/ warm weather situations.

I like this one quite a bit. I find it to be similar to Heineken or something like that, but with a mellower taste. It is quite drinkable to me, although it is not my favorite or anything like that. I first had it at an Italian restaurant some years ago and it went well with the food. This is one of those that I will just pick up from time to time, just to get something other than the stuff I usually get, but to still get something I know I will like.

Just having a Peroni beer today for the first time in a while and it tastes a little light compared to what it used to...still 5.1% though. I never understood you guys and your hate for 11.2oz?? it's a standard European size...surely if they served you it in the bigger 12 oz size they would just charge you more. hah

Is it really that good for getting drunk? And how would it compare to say Hoegaarden in terms of getting drunk only?

Do you get good ocean scallops down there? We get a lot of puny Chesapeake Bay scallops, but the ocean ones are pretty expensive. But worth it if you can find the right ones. I like my scallops sauteed in butter and a little bacon fat... Oh boy!! do I love those!

What I got from it you can drink it not cold or ice cold it taste really tasteful not cold and in ice cold the sweetness and the super hops leave prefer it warm it’s how it’s drank in Europe keeping it cold just preserves it it’s a really distinct beer truth be told

I’m with David on this, I stay away from Peroni. It has a weird artificial taste I can’t get down with. It’s not a drain pourer, but it’s not as enjoyable as comparable priced beers.

Stella is smoother and has a better hops taste to me. Peroni for me is somewhere between Heine & Stella.

This a good beer I only drink quality Mexican beer like Estrella de Jalisco but this is a fine beer better than Heineken or Dos Equis

really refreshing after a hard days work .. but needs to be cold tastes better and get more of the flavor, quite a expense her in the UK at £3 a bottle 620ml which I think is about 21 ounces. Great video as always!

I thought David would enjoy this beer. But I have heard that many other people don't really care for it either. I think Peroni is a smooth easy drinking beer with a pleasant taste. It pairs perfectly with Italian food, and most other food as well.

I need to pick some of this up soon. I love me the euro pale lager style.

Peroni or Asahi which one do you prefer?

I want to try this. But i can only find it in 6 packs and dont want to spend over 10 dollars and it possibly be skunked due to green glass.

An Italian restaurant I went to last night had this on tap but I passed on it because they had some more exotic craft offerings.

I thought this beer was above average, but the price is a bit to much for me for the quality of it. I know cheaper beers in my country that are still better. So although I appreciate the experience of trying a new quality beer I won’t be changing my every day drink.

I found a Peroni glass a few months ago at a thrift store but only got around to actually trying their beer in the past few days despite meaning to for a long time. It seems a bit more bitter than most typical eurolagers I've tried, but also seems more sweet due to the maize. I'm not sure how I'd rate it versus typical eurolagers, I typically would prefer either stronger bitterness akin to German/Czech Pilsners or a more rounded profile like the Okocim Lager, Carlsberg or German Helles, but it is still quite enjoyable. I typically view Adjunct lagers a bit below all malt equivalent but I've enjoyed this more than both AB Inbev American brewed Reinheitsgebot lager's I've revisited recently, which was Beck's and Stella Artois. I've never had the original German or Belgium verisons of those beers, but they just seemed somewhat off to me, to the point where I'd rather have a solid AAL such as Coors Banquet than either of them.

European beers are not usually sweet. Domestic beers are world renowned as "sweet" beers.

Went out and bought this $10 sixer today and it's very clean and has quality hop taste. No funny tastes whatsoever.

Every beer has his own glass and the one u are using it s not good.

Only a child mentality would think this a bad beer.

you sure David didn't have a dirty glass or something... I don't think I've ever disagreed with him before....but wow!!! Peroni is very overpriced in England (10 x 330ml bottles for 12 quid wen I can get 18 x 440ml cans of Stella for the same price.) I certainly wouldn't be able to say it is anything but excellent though.
