Decaf Lipton with Walmart brand Splenda. In my Mr coffee maker. I make several pots a day. 2 bags to one pot and that makes 2 pots.

We grew up drinking unsweetened tea. My mother drank hers unsweetened and when we were little we would steal sips from her glass. So she announced one day "If y'all can drink my unsweetened tea I'm not gonna put sugar in y'all's!" To this day, that's how I drink my iced tea. Hot tea I always add sugar and milk.

I’m a type 2 diabetic too, so no sugar sweet tea for me either. You do get used to the sugar replacements. I will say when Paula started pouring the hot tea into the Crystal pitcher, I did hold my breath, glad it didn’t shatter! ❤️ asked me how I know that happens!

I grew up making Sweet Tea this very way, my Sweet Mama taught me. Since then. I started making it in the coffee pot, I cut my teas bags from 3 to 2, (to cut my caffeine and it eliminated my migraines) my sugar from 2 cups to 1-1/2. Once brewed I cut coffee maker off and let steep and cool somewhat. I make a gal. use half water and the other half is tea. Works great. I drink tea only for dinner. Water the rest of the time. I do this as my treat. On Fridays, I have ONE Dr Pepper which is my all time favorite as an end of the week treat. I still do this now retired at 66 in Texas. Our brand tea here is Lipton.

My father was a sweet tea nut. He could taste the paper from the tea bag and insisted mother make his tea from loose leaf tea. We decided to put him to the test to see if he could pick the tea bag tea or loose leaf tea. We made two pitchers, one of each type. Lined up 6 half glasses (marked) with ice and equal amounts of each tea. Holy moly, he could taste the paper! And side by side, I could also taste the paper (my dad called this phenomenon a whang taste) 😂Poor mom, her fine mesh tea strainer was the most valuable item in our home! It’s 65 years old and I STILL use it. 🕊✌️🇺🇸🌐Lady Rusted Knight

Hi Miss Paula! My husband and I went to your restaurant (for the first time) last week in Tennessee. We had the best meal, however the highlight was the peach sweet tea! Best tea that I ever had! Also, when I make tea for company, I make simple syrup. That way everyone can choose how sweet they want their tea. 😊

Sammy hi I just bought my first box of y'all sweet tea. My husband is very picky about his tea but he absolutely loved y'all sweet tea. The one thing I noticed about it was when you add the sugar it doesn't go to the bottom after stirring there was no evidence of the sugar at the bottom of the pitcher. However you do have to follow the directions on the back to the letter. Try it you won't regret it. 👍😊

I believe Luzianne says to add one family tea bag for 4 cups total water, which is only a quart. That would be 4 bags for a gallon, like you said. Sweet tea is Southern table wine--we love it so much! I think the reason you couldn't get the tea sweet enough is because you're used to artificial sweeteners which taste a lot sweeter than sugar.

I lucked out years back when I went thrifting and found a gal. jar that were so popular back in the day and that's how I make my tea. I feel it cut out the bitterness of tea especially since I like mind strong too. And since I follow a Keto lifestyle I sweeten my tea with monk fruit and a little stevia. My preference are key limes but I also like yellow lemons too. BTW you do look great in a pony tail. Blessings.

You got the good ice too Paula. I know that was a great glass of southern house "wine"! Lol haha I'm from Florida and hate when folks say we ain't southern. But we still love our sweet tea down here in the southern most state.

I buy Publix jug sweet tea and a jug of their unsweet tea and use half of one and half of the other and it's the perfect sweet for me. I also have diabetes but sweet tea is my only habit/addiction 😂 so I don't care what else gets taken away but sweet tea is my life.

Hi y'all I've been making sun tea in the summer time since the early 80's. I'm just like Paula I only use Luzianne tea bags! I do something a little different I also add orange spice tea bags along with my Luzianne tea bags. Oh my goodness! It tastes so good as Paula says it'll make your tongue want to slap your brain! LOL and now that I'm a type 2 diabetic I sweeten mine with swerve. It's non-GMO and it's extremely easy on the digestive system it does not give you diarrhea! It tastes like sugar and measures just like sugar! Sometimes I switch off and I leave out the orange spice and use lemons to make lemon flavored tea! If you've never tried orange spice added to your tea give it a try you'll love it!

my favorite is McDonald's sweet tea like I know it's so bad for you but if that stuff isn't just the best in the summer time 😳😂💓
