As you like Mr Blue Sky so much, you really should listen to the Concerto for a rainy day in its entirety. Basically side 3 of Out of the blue culminating in Mr Blue Sky and a wonderful experience overall.

Jeff Lynne (who comes from my home city of Birmingham) is a genius and great producer. E.L.O. sound just as good (if not better) live than they do on the studio versions.They were still touring before the pandemic hit. You should listen to 'All Over The World' which is a fantastic song and not many react to it.

This is such a great song! One of the happiest feeling songs. It has been used in a lot of movies. Jeff Lynne wrote most of ELO songs. You've done a few of their songs already. Other hits are "Roll Over Beethoven", "Showdown", "Can't Get It Out Of My Head", "Do Ya", "Rockaria!", "Wild West Hero", "Shine A Little Love", "Confusion", "Hold On Tight", "Twilight", "The Way Life's Meant To Be", "Here Is The News", "Ticket To The Moon" etc.

Just to let you know, the last lyrics of the song are " please turn me over " , not " Mister Blue Sky " as most captions show. I bought the album when it was released and was stunned to learn years later after I had heard the album at least 50 times. Duh...
