Model Buses is about Boris Johnson, like one of Wilbur’s songs in YCGMA. He (Boris) said in an interview that he loves model buses, which was an utter lie, he probably doesn’t have any.

Ash, Mark and Joe deserves more recognition in my opinion. It's always "wilburs band" (this he is a big deal innit) but I want people to accually understand that it's just not willyboy 😂🥺

Wilbur did a live gig on Twitch. He played Pebble Brain songs solo. His voice was out of practice and gritty and it was amazing. And he may have broken two strings

Tommy's favorite song is Perfume and they almost took it out but he wanted it in so they kept it. But also Ranboo's favorite song is The Fall and it's amazing!!

This is an album for crying yet bopping with every emotion ever

Mathew kept asking how so good instrumentals. My best guess is that like me, Wilbur is a math rock fan and that’s just a whole genre of beautiful rock vibes to draw inspiration from.

Fun facts: Lovejoy was going to kick Perfume, but decided to keep it in when TommyInnit said he liked it. Model Buses is about Boris Johnson. In Model Buses, when they say "wait", a picture of Boris appears on the birds face. The bird on the album cover is named Peebee. A lot of the songs in the LP have the rest of the band as background singers. The drummer played a lot of 16ths on the drums in the song Concrete (it's a very hard consistent beat to do when playing). I believe the line that goes "You say your ex-boyfriends a police man, I say you need better standards is meant to represent acab or police brutality or something (but I could be wrong). Wilbur really liked the original It's All Futile! It's All Pointless! (IAFIAP) and said it was one of his best made songs, but had so much more potential, so he and Lovejoy remade it to give it it's full potential again, and you can listen to the mood differences in the two and see how much happier he's gotten.

Model Buses is specifically poking fun at the British Prime Minister (of the time)- Boris Johnson who when put on the spot and asked about his hobbies, he said that he "liked making model buses" which obviously wasn't true lol

I was waiting for this video since the release, glad you enjoy the EP :) I was never really fangirling for anyone but holyy how Lovejoy has changed that. They really outdid themselves with this one...vocals? amazing. lyrics? genius. instrumentals? insane. I am so excited for their future and seeing them grow and very happy that i was there since day one. Will said they are already working on the next thing...a smaller thing which is supposed to come out by the end of the year and after that they are doing a full album!!

wilbur actually did rap on stream once! back in may of this year he did a stream with tubbo and rapped guns and ships in a new zealand accent to prove that he’d recorded the whole thing and it’s a really great clip which i have saved
